I really can't say enough great things about Modern Trailer Sales. I guess I will start from the beginning. We owned an older travel trailer and had 2 tire blow outs in the same day on the way home from a trip. We were just going to have it fixed and trade it in for a newer one that suited our needs better. We had already gone to a few other dealers to look at travel trailers so we already knew pretty much the floor plan and amenities we wanted so we just needed to narrow it down to make and model. They put us with salesman Gerald. He showed us new and used trailers with what we wanted and others just to make sure it wasn't something we didn't think about. We were up front that we still had to get ours fixed first before we could purchase a new one. He got us with service so they could get an estimate written. Ours ended up having $14,000 in damage and ended up being a total loss. Gerald was so patient and allowed us to put a deposit on the one we wanted until we settled with our insurance company. This took almost a month but Gerald still held the one for us. Not one time did Gerald try to pressure us into buying a better model or something that didn't make sense for us. We finally settled with the insurance company was ready to purchase. Gerald got us scheduled with finance and delivery within a few days. Both of these teams were outstanding. Quick and easy. They advised of additional warranties and upgrades to purchase but no pressure and moved right on when we declined. The delivery guy that showed us how to work everything spent almost 2 hours with us. Everyone at modern Trailer Sales were outstanding. You get a gift certificate and discount in parts on the day of delivery. Even the parts department was great in our special order for what we wanted. We could have purchased this floor plan at a couple of different dealers but Gerald is what made us want to do business at Modern Trailer Sales. salesman Chris was very helpful and we did get a great deal on our new 5th wheel, but there were plenty of mistakes made by Modern along the way. I expected a stress-free experience because they have been in business so long, but I didn't get that. I feel also they did a terrible job on PDI...the inside was a mess and things weren't working (still!) that should have been checked. We purchased a fifth wheel RV from modern trailer in July. The salesman was polite in dealing with a client from the west coast understanding that this would be a temporary home while our contractor finished the construction on our new home. Issues started when things started failing on the trailer. Contacted their mobile service department to set up a time to have a tech come out to do the repair. He did a temporary fix and said he would be back out in a few days. That was two weeks ago. In the mean time the furnace started acting up on a Saturday morning, again called the mobile service department left a message, then did a follow up call on Monday morning well after they had opened. I was told they were booked until November. I asked about the earlier issue that the technician was working on and when he would be out to finish the repair and was told he had not yet turned in the paperwork from two weeks earlier and she could not give me an answer or offer a follow up on this service. read more

Great service when we first purchased our 2020 camper. We have had multiple issues with it and had to take it to the service dept several times. Also paid for the "forever warranty " which doesn't cover things you would think would be included. Most recently had it in because the fridge stopped working. When we went to pick up the tire was low, which of course we were told they have no way to fix tires. Fixed that tire and tried to trade in our camper elsewhere and were told that there had been a recall on the valve regulator that we never were told about. The seal on the slide out was off again which was supposed to be fixed the last time it was in. Then they said there is a soft spot in the floor. We paid for this so called warranty and took this camper in for yearly maintenance on top of the other times we took it in for problems to be fixed and yet still have all these issues. Lowered the value of our camper $5700! So do not recommend obviously for any camper purchase. read more

Loved the experience we had here! My husband and I found a camper at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport, and Travel show this year through Modern Trailer Sales. We spent an extensive amount of time looking at different travel trailers with different companies. Several companies have the same travel trailers for sale, but Modern Trailer Sales definitely had the best deal! They offer a lifetime warranty on several pricey items such as the air conditioner, fried and stove...over 80 items are covered. All you have to do is bring your camper to their service department once a year for an inspection that costs around $180, which is honestly worth it if you want to keep your camper in pristine condition. We worked mainly with Adonica and she was absolutely fantastic!!! She went above and beyond to answer all our questions and help us with anything we needed. We stopped in so many times and took so long making our decision, but Gerald was very patient and informative. He took the time to look at our truck and keep us focused on what we could adequately pull with it. We ended up with a 27ft bullet. Got a good price and it is a very comfortable size. We will enjoy this for many years. Our "class" for usage with Joe was very good (even though I thought I knew it all about camping). I had some damage to my 5thwheel roof from a tree fall. My unit is a Cruiser with the rolled edges. It's 10 years old, but is in great shape. I called Modern Trailer Sales for several reasons. Previous experience with this company which has always been top notch, and if I have a question I know I can call service and at times get my problem solved over the phone. Now, back to my roof repair. They took the entire roof off; clean to the rafters. Replaced all underlayment, new plumbing stacks, and they had to take off two air conditioners, bath skylight, etc., in order to do the total repair. Was told it takes 6 very experienced fellas to do the job right; and yes it was done right in a fantastic manner. Kuddos fellas! Now I have a new roof with another warranty! The roof will last longer now than this unit...LOL! I have never bought a unit from these folks, but they will treat you like you have. After inspecting the roof myself at home after they had done the work; I sent a few pictures back to service and it was on the roof. They sent a very nice young man to OUR HOME which is about 78 miles away; and he had it fixed right away with no questions asked. Now that's a company you can count on; and I was thrilled to see that kind of business still being around. If ever I decide to purchase another unit, my truck knows the route. Dedicated service like that goes along way with me; and I expect their Sales staff and Parts staff work in the same fashion. Great staff, courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. Took my new Keystone Bullet Ultra Lite out on it's maiden trip and somehow and somehow lost the grey holding tank dump valve handle. Called Modern when I got home and they talked me through the repair so that I wouldn't have to haul the trailer back to the dealership. They had the part to my doorstep the next day!
