I noticed that there bath and body products are less available than they used to be. The downside to Home Goods is that it is overly crowded, making it difficult to browse the aisles. Of course there is no fault to the store itself; people love it! But it would be nice if they had a larger facility. I really enjoy finding good bargains. Sometimes you can find things here at a much lower price than in a traditional big box store.

Just got back from this store and have to say I'm very happy with my experience. I did not get the "above the customer" attitude that is so predominant with hobby stores. The young men behind the counter were very helpful from the moment I walked through the door until I left. When I had a question about a part they were very helpful even though they did not have exactly what I needed. Offering to match and order what I needed if I brought my plane in for comparison due to it's age. They are also clearly into the r/c's and excited to talk cars. A plus to me.. I've been to practically…read moreevery Hobby Lobby within 100 miles of where I live, I LOVE shopping there, and I've easily spent thousands of dollars with this company. I have never experienced anything like what happened at this location. I have only been to this location twice, and BOTH times my boyfriend and I were literally followed around the store. I'm not talking about employees simply being nearby or checking if we needed help. They were actively looking for us. I could be all the way in an aisle toward the back of the store, and employees would come looking through the aisles, spot us, stare at us, whisper into their walkies, and then continue following us. It was so obvious that it became extremely uncomfortable. At one point, I literally watched a female employee walk up behind my boyfriend and try to move around him just to get a look at his face. She had her head cocked trying to see him, and the second I turned around and caught her doing it, she looked startled and immediately walked away without saying a single word. That is NOT normal customer service. And what makes this even more disturbing is that we were the only Hispanic customers in the store while the employees and the overwhelming majority of the customers were white. Nobody else appeared to be getting this treatment. If an employee wanted to check whether we needed help, they could have simply asked us. Instead, we were followed, watched, stared at, and monitored throughout the store. I don't casually throw around the word "racist," but after experiencing this TWICE at the same location, it is extremely hard not to believe that we were being singled out because we are Hispanic. We were treated like we had done something wrong simply for walking into the store. I absolutely love Hobby Lobby, which is what makes this experience even more upsetting. But I will never spend another dollar at this location. Management seriously needs to address the way customers are being treated here, because making people feel targeted and unwelcome based on how they look is completely unacceptable.

I've been to other Ross locations and I'd have to say this is my favorite one. Customer Service: The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I always get greeted when I walk in and it feels nice. Keep up the amazing work! From time to time, I'll have returns and the associates are always patient with me whether it's me trying to find the paper receipt on my pocket or purse. The line to check out tends to be really long on the weekend, so I'd suggest maybe at least 2-3 cashiers on the register on the weekends at least to reduce the waiting time in line and a smooth & fast checkout experience. Bathroom: The bathroom is located in the back of the store. To use the bathroom, you have to notify the security or an associate since the door is locked by a pin pad. I'm assuming this is to prevent someone from stealing which is good, but interesting that the Marshalls in the same plaza isn't locked. Merchandise: This Ross location has great inventory. I'm not sure how often they restock their merchandise, but I feel like every time I come, I see something new or there's a different set up especially if a holiday is coming up like Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc. they have a dedicated seasonal section where they have items based on the season. I have a pair of UGG boots, Nike shoes, Puma shoes, and more from Ross. You can also find some good cologne/perfume here. My boyfriend is plus size and unfortunately their plus size inventory is very limited, so you are definitely better off at Burlington. Kind of random, but they sell Funko pops and DBZ figures. Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a great shopping experience at Ross at the Chicago Ridge location. The staff are friendly, great inventory, & affordable prices.
