We didn't find anything while looking so we went to leave (you have to exit through the line and past the register), my husband happened to look back & saw a Staples employee pointing her iPad at us, she quickly went to put it down & my husband saw the camera app open on her iPad. Clearly she thought we were stealing but soon realized we weren't as the sensors did not go off upon our exit. We have never in our lives stolen anything let alone committed a crime. I almost went back in to have it out with said employee, as we did not consent to have our picture taken. Not that it should matter, however, we were dressed causally (my husband was in a black tee & khakis while I was in an all black athleisure outfit), well groomed & literally just pursuing the store. Staples has officially lost our business given our atrocious experience.

I informed the sales woman who eventually approached me that I was interested in a particular office desk and cabinet set and asked for a quote. I got the feeling that she was not very interested in my business, but I figured it was all in my head. She then took my email and phone number.......and that's the last I heard from her. No call, no email.......no communication. I went back today to see if there was another salesperson I can speak to, unfortunately they were closed.....it was Saturday. Is it normal to wait so long for a quote? I hate that I have to write this review, but something about the sales woman's approach towards me rubbed me the wrong way. It might just be in my head, but if six days have passed and no one has contacted me to follow up.....is it really just in my head?

Everything I got is top quality at a price within reach. People get a good first impression from the furniture and I couldn't be more pleased with it. The installers were really great and the senior one had worked there for several decades, that alone tells me that this is a good company both to work for and do business with. The installer told me the story of the first time he had installed my furniture when they sold it to the original owner, and about when he refinished it when the company let the owner trade it in. Amazing. I literally searched all over Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin to try to find used traditional furniture and this company was the only one with any real choices in furniture. If I ever expand my office space, Second Systems will be my first call for more furniture.

I placed an order through Uber eats. Office Depot sent 5x7 plastic holders instead of 8x10. I…read morecalled and they said I needed to go to the store to do the exchange. I did but the store wouldn't help me since it was purchased though uber even though I showed the receipt and policy. I was told to call into corporate to get a bar code, so I did but was on the phone for over 10 minutes. I then gave the girl the bar code and it didn't work. The girl at the register said her manager could do an even exchange but the manager came over and refused and said I should have brought from then directly? Then Josh the manger got super rude with me and told me I was holding up his line and I needed to move. He outright refused to help me and thought my situation was funny? I asked Josh for his last name and he told me he doesn't give it to "crazy" people. Apparently asking for an even exchange and showing the receipt was crazy. It even states online that you can exchange when ordering from office max and uber eats. I can't believe a manager of a store would act like that or think it was funny to not help someone even though it was his stores mistake. I ended up just leaving because no adult should talk to another adult that way.
