My daughter was seen on 3/10 and tested positive for the flu. Flu recovery typically takes 5-7 days, yet the doctor's note only excused her for one day. As expected, she was still sick and the school called me on 3/12 to pick her up. When I returned to ask if the note could be extended, I was told she would need to be reevaluated because the original doctor wasn't there. Paying another co pay makes no sense since any provider there should have access to her diagnosis and medical record. I've been here 4 times. 3 excellent experiences, 1 blah one. No bad experiences. I see low ratings here, I think people are venting about rare issues or not understanding the point of these type of medical offices. They exist so you don't need to wait a month to see a primary care physician. They aren't a full service hospital/primary care replacement. You come here for shots, physical, dog bite, sore throat, ear issues, etc. Not a broken leg or ruptured appendix. The only downside is that there is sometimes a long wait in the afternoon, I guess the crowd who comes after school. But if you are sick, just go during the day, the wait and copay is shorter and smaller than at my primary care physician who has way higher ratings. read more

Treated by nurse practioners, no doctors at this facility. Went in on Monday no tests done, blood pressure done over shirt and checked my heart and lungs through my shirt. In my experience over 50+ years I have never had vitals done that way. Did not ask for any history. Diagnosed with upper respiratory infection and bronchitis and medicated with 2 antibiotics, prednisone and cough medicine. revisited on Friday because I did not feel any better. Vitals done the same way. This time tested for covid and flu. Positive for flu. Given 2 new medications for cough. Very aloof and uncaring attitude and not thorough. Do not recommend this place (corner of Freshpond Road and 68th Ave. 2 thumbs down. Will see my primary on Tuesday. read more

The visit was beyond disappointing. Dr. Crowl, beside asking what brings me to the clinic did nothing else. I never went to the doctor's office where they did not check my vitals or did any test to rule out issues such as cold , flu ,COVID or check if I may have something else. etc. I was prescribed generic form of allergic medicine, and based on my symptoms ( severe sinus congestion, chest pain, runny nose) I don't believe this is allergy related. In addition, my prescription was not send to pharmacy and when I went back the front desk said they will re-send the prescription and ask me to call pharmacy first before I go pick up. They never send it in the first place and and the pharmacy is next door. After the prescription Was finally sent and I picked it up , I got home and the pharmacy calls again to tell me that there is more medicine that the doctor sent. The office had only 2 other patient so volume was not an issue. I will not be going there again since I don't think it's worth my time , money and the energy. read more

Wife came home crying today due to the terrible experience she had here. She went here first thing in the morning after a 12 hour hospital night shift to get care for an ingrown toenail that was becoming infected and hurting her. Before handing over her insurance and payment method, she asked the receptionist if the medical team here would see her for this condition or whether she'd be better off waiting a few days for a podiatrist appointment. The receptionist went back to check with the team and told my wife that they could at the very least examine the toe and advise on a remedy even if they couldn't remove the toenail or treat the infection. However, when the doctor came in to see her, he refused to even examine! He was not only adamant that they cannot treat the condition here, but apparently added the snide remark that she should have known better than to come in to urgent care for a condition that requires the podiatrist. She specifically asked up front! How insensitive do you need to be to ridicule the patient after denying even the most basic level of care possible? First do no harm, dummy! To top it all off, when she went back to the receptionist to ask if she'd still be charged after not even being examined, she apparently was told she'd already been billed and would now need to wait a week to have a refund processed! I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the incompetence and lack of care this team provided my wife today. I can understand things get miscommunicated from one member of the team to another, but the rudeness is completely uncalled for and the rush to bill before service was even provided gives the place all the trustworthiness of a bait-and-switch operation. This clinic seemed so promising when it opened in our neighborhood because it's in a great location and has a cleaner waiting room and more streamlined check in process than the other options around. However, it's not worth the convenience and my family and I will be taking an Uber or bus to CityMD next time we have an issue. read more

Other than modern offices there is nothing modern or urgent about that place. They do not have a doctor, and they can't write a prescription but you still have to pay for them to advise you to take advil. Ended up going to a real doctor who correctly diagnosed an issue and provided appropriate treatment. read more

Worst UC period. This is strictly for the Fresh Pond Rd location. The male doctor is incredibly rude. The front staff are incompetent. I went a few months ago because I was sick. The doctor requested I be given a note to return to work in 2 days. The front desk person put down that I could return the day of the visit. I didn't notice until after I got home and decided to let it go because I had the sick days. My son recently went in because his throat was so sore and swollen he could barely swallow liquid. His rapid test came back negative but blood was drawn to test for other viruses. He was only prescribed Ibuprofen. 2 days later, his throat is even tighter. We call to find out if he will be receiving antibiotics. We are told no because they need MORE blood. His sample was "ruined" and they needed more before they could decide if he needed antibiotics and results would not be in for 2-3 days. In the meantime, they did agree to give my son 1 day of steroids so that he could breathe and swallow. This was only after the doctor yelled to the receptionist that he prescribed Ibuprofen and we had to yell back that he can't breathe. We decided that since our PCP was open, we would go there instead. She not only prescribed more steroids, but sent him to the ENT. My son, who according to Modern MD only needed Ibuprofen, had a severe case of tonsillitis and was prescribed antibiotics immediately (without bloodwork!). read more
