I contacted them on Instagram and they quoted me $100, I went there and showed them the text stream on my phone, the old dude just kinda grunted, stuck his hand out for my keys, pulled my car in. Two young guys struggled with the work, had to cut twice cuz the first cut was inaccurate (measure twice cut once). After the finally completed the work the young guy pulled my car out, old dude stuck his hand out for my card, went in, came back with my card wrapped in a receipt. When I got home I noticed he charged me $120 NOT the $100 I was told. I'll never go there again. Customer service is complete crap! read more

Brought my s2000 in to diagnose a bad exhaust smell, come to find out my catalytic converter went bad. Martin was a very cool guy and was very straightforward and patient with me. Took two cars here a Infiniti and a Lincoln. Both times pulled up told them what I wanted and had the work done in a reasonable timeframe and low prices compared to other shops. They don't have a big selection compared to other shops but more then likely they have something you will like. I would advise stop here first see if they have what you looking for if so give them ur keys and get some food at the Mexican trailer on the lot relax eat and play on your phone and go home full and happy. read more

The overall customer service experience here was excellent! Here's my story: The Car: 2010 BMW 135i/E82. The Job: upgraded Cobb 3" catted downpipes. The Reason: remove restrictive 2.5" stock downpipes for easier exhaust flow and release back pressure on the wastegates of the twin turbos. In my search in the Modesto/Salida area for a reliable exhaust system/muffler shop AND with the extensive knowledge of automotive exhaust systems, I called these guys late morning and they said to drop-in for them to take a look at my needed-upgraded downpipes install. I called around and had other exhaust/muffler shops quote me insanely high prices. I knew I could have gone to any BMW-specialist for another engine/suspension job, but all the BMW-specific shops quoted me in the $500 range for my catted downpipe upgrade. MODESTO'S MUFFLERS is a family-owned and operated garage with 4 lifts and have all the tools required for everything exhaust-related upgrades and replacements. The guys are down-to-earth and in no-means in a rush or pushy. I, myself, am a man of no-hassle or bull, and have had personal experience of working with cars. So, I do respect the guys' hard work and efforts. They often called me over to inspect the vehicle every step of the way and allowed me to take pictures when the job was done. The job itself was daunting and the space available was tight. Overall, I respect what these guys do day-in and day-out. These guys charged me almost $400 for two dual exhaust tips, saying were around $300 for both. I checked Ebay and they were listed for $70 for two. They were also going to half ass the dual exhaust by just attaching a bent pipe to the already existing single exit instead of creating a y pipe. The welds were not good either. Good people, but the quality of welds is non existent and they overprice. I suggest getting what you need first and have them weld to avoid being gipped. read more

It's cheap and quick.. Which are the only two reasons I returned for a second time after a bad experience the first time. The work is very sloppy and low quality. First experience; went in to get wider piping done. After jacking up my car a few days later, I noticed they didn't go all the way to the flanges. So it went from about 3 inches of stock piping - new piping - 3 inches of stock piping. Talk about reducing exhaust flow! ..the two middle hangers also broke free of the welds a couple of weeks later causing my piping to sag. Went in a second time needing to delete my beat up catalytic converter. After my check engine light (CEL) came on a few miles later, it scanned for o2 sensor. Jacked up my car to notice he had welded my o2 sensor in place! Are you kidding me? Not to mention the "test pipe" used to delete my cat is thinner than my already messed up piping! Now I'll be out over $100 to get my piping redone elsewhere and get a new o2 sensor. Never going back here again! read more

I give this guy a minus review hope someone else doesn't get ripped off.!!! We took or truck to this Martin guy for a catalytic converter and it went bad in 6 months... this is to be guaranteed for 5yrs per the state of California regulations, this guy refused to fix it even when is mandate by the state. Don't recommend him we are so disappointed with his attitude of refusal to not only honor his work but to refused to follow state regulations. We had our truck evaluated by a few other places that agree that there was no other issue causing those catalytic s to act up and that encourage us to get this guy to fix it. we exhausted our efforts over the last six months got same run around response blaming the 3rd party that sales him the parts. Bad business man over all not trust worthy!!! Don't do it to save a few hundred dollars look for a legit shop that actually follows the law and stands behind their work. read more

After the shop that handled all of my exhaust needs moved, I needed a place that I trusted with my 1969 Mustang. After calling around and researching online reviews, I decided on Modesto's Mufflers. They gave me a quote over the phone that was almost half the price of the other places that wanted to charge an arm and a leg. I took in my Mustang the next morning and they were very friendly and started working on it immediately. Naturally I wanted to watch every step of the process to make sure everything was done correctly and nothing went wrong. They let me stand just outside the shop and watch them bend the pipes and weld them on so that they fit like a glove. An hour later they took it off the lift and my car sounded like a muscle car should sound like.
