They forgot my queso and when I asked for it they argued I didn't order it (which I did bc I had a meal) Then manager came out was very snarky to me. I was frustratEd bc I spent 25 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break waiting on my app order that I placed 30 minutes b4 picking up. the cashier said "we have been really busy." I replied that I had been too, that is why I placed order on app. They then pointed at the door, called ME rude, and told me to leave. i don't believe the customer is always right but these people are awful. read more

The restaurant is not crowded. It seems clean. Only a couple of patrons. They greet me with the standard "Welcome to Moe's " I feel comfortable in familiar surrounding despite never visiting this particular establishment. The young gentleman asks me, "what will you have" I respond "Alfredo Garcia- Steak". The young guy says "we don't do that anymore. " I respond that all the ingredients are there in front of him then his partner another, possibly younger guys says "we don't have a way to ring it up". I respond " that's a tragedy, seriously?" AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. While on a road trip, we hit Dothan right about dinner time and needed a place to eat. Regrettably I'm the only carnivore in a family of vegetarians, so that generally doesn't get me a leg up when it comes to deciding on dining locations, and nothing distracts vegetarians more easily that "tofu" being included on the menu. I pulled up my handy-dandy Yelp app and looked around and as soon as the wife saw "Moe's" that was pretty much the end, although I really would have liked to try a local joint. But then something concerned me. A chain place that is generally consistent, albeit bland, with a two-and-a-half star rating, but again, I was overruled because TOFU. WARNING - DANGER WILL ROBINSON. It was a little concerning when we arrived and the parking lot was relatively empty in what was generally a vast sea of packed outdoor shopping. When we entered at 6PM, we were greeted with a zombie-sad "welcome to moe's (please kill us)" and gazed upon a chip-strewn nightmare. It looked as if someone had taken several trash bags of chips and scattered them around the booths. And since it was 6PM and empty, you couldn't say that it was because of a dinner rush. When we got up to the counter and ordered, it took a while and it seemed nobody on the team was working together and that we were kind of a pain in the ass for them. When I got to the sour cream, there was a large wad of chicken floating on top, and the guy prepping the burrito asked me if that had fallen off the burrito that he was preparing for us, and I said "No, it's been there since we came in" and another team member said it had been like that for a while. Really hope my wife didn't see that. He strained out the chicken with a spoon and left the other guy to complete my burrto. The sad sacks behind the counter completed our order and we went to go sit down and ingest the piles o' food. The salsa table had one offering that looked like it hadn't been tended to since the previous day and had dried to resemble a red crater. I then remembered one of the guys asking how old the chips were, and I wish that I had put two and two together, because when I bit into one of the 8 chips that had landed on my tray, it had the consistency and flavor of dried paint chips. And then I bit into the burrito. Apparently, they had used the last of the rice on us, because I almost broke a filling biting into it. The whole damn thing was loaded with crunchy dregs rice. Turns out that wife's burrito bowl was lousy with the crap too. And while I tried to not gloat as she half-assedly attempted to down the bowl of tragedy, it was kind of nice to realize that Yelp was right again. And believe me, there were no winners at the table. So anywho, we pretty much just left the plates of Tex-Mexcrement behind us and walked out without finishing and learned a $30 lesson. Go local, and avoid this crap. read more

I had one decent experience at this Moe's... Followed by a terrible one. The second time around my husband and I got our order to-go. One of my soft tacos was so stale that it actually cracked in half when folded to eat. We paid extra for guacamole, but received less than a level measuring teaspoon of guac. In fact, all of our food portions were significantly smaller than any other trip to Moe's. Moe's is my husband's favorite fast dining choice, and we have eaten at several locations regularly before moving here. This was our first bad experience. (Side note: the previous visit to this location was the only meh/so-so Moe's experience.) Great service is something we had come to expect from a Moe's. But when we got this crummy food and I wrote an email to corporate I got a phone call from a man who said he was the owner of this location... Which was promising until I realized that--though I'm sure he had good intentions--he didn't listen to me when I talked. He made excuses when just an apology would've worked. He told me he wasn't sure if I ever bought avocados but that guacamole is "actually very expensive." He actually said that! He also said maybe my tortilla just got hard during the drive home! It was ridiculous. Since I couldn't get a word in I just gave up. He said he hoped we'd try them again (but did not offer to buy us another meal or offer a discount or anything). read more

Similar to Chipotle or Taco Del Mar in style, but with more variety. And they have good guacamole which, in my opinion, is the true measure of a fast food mexican joint. The bad thing here is that you wind up eating like 40,000 calories before you know it. Then you end up having to roll yourself out the door like a bowling pin. Its a good thing they are too far away to be convient, or I would end up looking like one of those massive burrito's in about a month. Drink machine had all products, salsa bowls were full, table was clean. I even asked for my burrito to be placed on the grill and they did it with no questions asked. Ok, driving south to Orlando for spring break, 14 hours and wanted something different than mcdonalds. Moe's sounded like a nice sit down, fast option. I'm going to sound a bit snobby about this, I apologize. Moe's is usually good, at least clean. This establishment was filthy and disgusting and needed adult supervision. Most of the tables were dirty, the floors and the back behind the serving separation was disgusting. By the time we figured out just how bad it was, we had already ordered and they were cooking. We didn't eat much of the food. Chips and helped our kids finish their quesadilla was about it. I didn't even want to see the bathrooms, I'm sure it was gross. Lastly, steak bowl and my wife's salad were on the bar and the server was working on someone else's food with her shirt sleeve and arm pit directly over our food. That can't be great. My family and i visited this restauraunt tonite for the last time. They charged us $3.59 for xtra cheese on our nachos and when we brought it to their attention, they told us it was too bad and that was their prices. Thats a lie. We have eaten there evry week for ovr 3 years now and have always paid a little for xtra cheese but never $3.59. Last week I stopped in here on my way home from Montgomery. I got 2 tacos(carnitas), side of guac an a bowl of queso. I asked for the taos to be "de-constructed" as by the time they would be eaten, the tortilla would be mush. No frills, good flavor, would have been at least 4 stars. Today I stopped by for what I was hoping would be a new tradition. It was!!! The girl that took the order had a deer in headlights look when I explained I wanted tortillas separate and fillings in a side cup. She had to go check this out, returning to tell me they didn't do that. What???? They did last week (and previous visits!)! I asked to speak to the manager and she confirmed this. Okay. We're new in town and wanted a quick bite to eat. Where we came from, the Moe's was friendly, fast and customer service was fantastic. When we walked in the young man behind the counter was texting on his phone. We ordered three entries and then went to pay the young lady behind the counter. She was so busy bantering with I guess the manager who appeared to be wearing a bathing suit, that she virtually ignored us. When we got to our table we discovered that everything except the quesadilla was cold. When I looked over the young man was back on the phone and the girl was arguing with the manager. The legendary Moe's. This place has become a staple and tradition for my friends and me to visit. We all get different items, ranging from a simple chicken quesadilla to an intricate burrito creation. Every single one of us absolutely loves Moe's Southwestern Grill. It all started with a need to fill an empty part of our lives. That missing piece of the puzzle was the lack of Chipotle in Dothan. Chipotle was like some mystical being that only legend had foretold. We did some research, and found out that Moe's was very similar to Chipotle. Little did we know, Moe's would replace Chipotle as the greatest restaurant of all time. At first, our virginity to Moe's showed. All we would order was a bowl of queso along with tortilla chips, but that would quickly change. Soon, we were all experimenting with different food items and combinations, moving at the speed of light towards Moe's enlightenment. The food is magnificent; however, there was something that truly drove us back each week. This force of attraction is commonly known as the Moe's Wrath, which is a fury of juicy goodness that explodes from your butt-hole after consuming the delectable food. Many toilets have been filled, clogged, and plunged because of the Moe's Wrath. The satisfying burn as the turd slides out is the cherry on top of the shit sundae, especially when the log is about a foot long, just as mine were on a few occasions. We quickly learned of the different types of poop you pass according to each food item, and voted queso turds as the most favorable bathroom experience. Overall, I would of given this place 4 out of 5 stars, but the Moe's Wrath propels the rating to 5 stars, and makes this restaurant an above and beyond experience. read more

The staff was very unprofessional, and the resturant was dirty, i think 3/4 of the table had food on the the Salsa bar had spilled Salsa all over it....the bathroom floors had toilet paper all over the floor and and no paper towels. I asked one of the employees for some paper towels for the bathroom and they handed me some paper towels from behind the counter. This is the worst Moe's we've ever eaten at. All of the food was cold... the beans, meat, cheese dip and chips. The chips were majority crumbs and the cheese dip was a block, but the worst part was that both my husband and I could taste what seemed like some type of cleaning solution in our food.
