Stopped in here about a month ago, with a group of friends, to play "Last Call" trivia and have a bite to eat. Love the old-school vibe of this place and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I ordered several items to share, off their limited menu (including some good stuff during their Happy Hour timeframe)...a sourdough pretzel, Southwest spring rolls and a small pepperoni pizza. All our food came out at once, and along with a cold draft beer everything went down pretty easy. Looks like their "regular" menu had a bit more appetizers, sandwiches and salads to sample along with a more extensive selection of 10" Neapolitan style pizzas. Looking forward to a return visit to give those other items a try!

Temporarily closed. Check website or alternate for hours. Thanks @Moes for responding. I'm glad I may yet still have the opportunity to visit.

I am incredibly unfamiliar with Cleveland, but was going to be in town for an event at Playhouse Square. I was left with just Yelp to help me find a place in walking distance that didn't cost an obscene amount for dinner. Thankfully I found Moe's! The menu isn't huge, but there's a decent pizza selection and who doesn't love pizza? I admittedly picked Moe's because the Sunny Side Up pizza looked amazing. The menu is pretty laden with references to old shows, and the vibe of the restaurant matched. I did amusingly realize that reservations for dinner on a Wednesday night wasn't necessary, but hey... better safe than sorry. I ordered a Moscow mule and the sunny side up pizza, both were exceptionally good. If I didn't live two hours away, that pizza would most definitely be something I'd want to order regularly. I'd most definitely recommend checking Moe's out if you're in the area!

Moe's tavern. I would have been happy if they had a crotchety asshole for a bartender, but Tom is cool dude. If you haven't been to Moe's, then you have one less story to tell than I do. They're figuring out their food menu right now, but the tenders and waffle fries are on point. Get down to Moe's, tell people about it, and be happy... Or else!!! Edit - Did I mention they have mini leg lamps? LEG LAMPS!

This was a fun bar to visit. It used to be decorated mainly in the Simpson theme but new ownership redecorated. There are still hints of Moe though. The writer would sit at the bar and lived above it. The bartender was Tom, he was awesome, took great care of us. They had a Rum infused with peach and ginger that was amazing! Food was delicious. Definitely would go back if ever in town!!

Cowabunga pizza on cauliflower crust. This crust type is more like 10 inches but they were out of the sourdough crust.

It was okay and not so okay. The menu posted on Yelp is outdated which we found out upon calling. They don't have a website so they told us their menu is posted on Google maps. The chili dry rub wings were very good but to add sides of 2 oz ranch or blue cheese costs $1 each which is crazy overpriced. They should tell you that upfront. Had I known that I would not have ordered, but unfortunately, the wings really need the sauce for dipping. The mac and cheese bites would not order again. I think they were frozen and nothing special. We were looking forward to trying their pizza and ordered the Cowabunga. They told us they were out of the sourdough crust, however, we could order it with the cauliflower crust for no extra charge. So, I found out that a cauliflower crust is #1 terrible tasting and #2, totally not worth $14. Shame on them. And, the pizza had 7 pieces of sausage. Never again. The guy that took my order said it would take 30 minutes which was way too long as the food was cold when I arrived and they were pretty dead with one table of people and alone girl sitting at the bar. We ordered the house salad which was pretty good but too much iceberg lettuce for the price. We added crispy chicken and that would have been really good but it was overcooked, so very dry. I don't get that as they were not busy at all. It seems like their menu has gone through several iterations and I question how they would be able to handle a large crowd. I don't think they could. I would not go back just for the wings, nor the atmosphere.

Stopped back in again with a friend before the School of Rock performance at Playhouse Square. I'm adding a star because the food was better this time around and because of the feedback from the business owner on my original review. I am more willing to give a second shot to a business that is friendly and understanding than to a business that yells at customers for not liking something. I got the kel's orange soda cocktail $6 again, but this time around I went for pizza and wings for food. This was a much better choice than last time! I would definitely recommend these things over the wraps. However, some negative. I asked if I could get the cowabunga $13.95 pizza but with basil instead of sausage and was told yes. But when my bill came I saw that I paid $11.95 plus $1.95 for pepperoni and another $1.95 for basil so my pizza came out to $15.85. Same amount of toppings. Usually meat is the more expensive topping so I didn't think the swap out would be a big deal and I'm annoyed the guy taking my order wasn't honest about it. Had I known I wouldn't have done that. How is a pepperoni pizza with basil more expensive than a pepperoni pizza with sausage? Anyways, the pizza was really tasty. I got it on the cauliflower crust and it was enjoyable with just a very mild cauliflower taste. Same texture as a normal pizza crust. I especially liked dipping it into a side of their homemade ranch dressing (extra $1). I also got 1/2 pound of their wings $7.95. I wasn't familiar with the wing sauces so I asked for my wings to come out naked with two sauces on the side. I was told this was no problem that it would just be a small charge for the extra sauce, I said like 50¢? and was told yes. Six wings arrived and I dipped them into yukon gold and sriracha garlic sauces. The latter was my favorite, so good! But when the bill came I saw that the side of sauce was a dollar extra even though they only filled the 2oz container half way. We all know when you coat the wings in the back you're using way more than the little sides of sauce I asked for... I support local businesses making unique tasty in-house items, and when it comes to food that's my biggest monthly expense, I make those dolla bills rain down on restaurants, just... Listen, if I have to pay extra for something that is fine, but you need to tell me this upfront so I can make an informed decision. If I do decide to pay more then I expect the item I am paying extra for to have the full amount in it/to be worth your charging me extra for it. Otherwise it's like I am being nickle and dimed/cheated. I really liked the food and have even thought about running into the city just to grab take-out, but my experience with the pricing is still displeasing to think about so imma need some time to get over it.

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.

Each dish that followed was layered with flavor, texture, and thoughtfulness -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate every bite. Not a single plate disappointed, which is rare even at the best restaurants. This isn't just "good vegan food." It's simply excellent food that happens to be vegan. The atmosphere is moody and intimate in the best way -- dim lighting, stylish interiors, and a hum that makes you feel like you've stumbled onto one of the city's best-kept secrets. The staff only add to that energy, striking the perfect balance between professional and genuinely friendly. And let's not forget one of the most underrated perks: free street parking right outside, which in any city is practically gold. We didn't have a reservation and lucked into seats at the bar (my preferred choice anyway). From that vantage point, we got to watch the bartenders work their magic, and it only enhanced the experience. Their cocktails aren't just drinks -- they're little works of art, and each one felt just as thoughtfully crafted as the food. They also have a lot of silver accents that have a cool juxtaposition with the cave look. You can find this nightclub underground at Clandestina on West 25th. Enter the club by going through mezcalería (Clandestina) and going downstairs. The club calls themselves "subterranean catacomb club." It's raw and unusual for the local nightclub scene in the very best of ways.
