World Famous "Little Bar" Burger & Chili with Cheese & Onion
Micah K.

Very cool bar in Cleveland! I found this on yelp and decided to give it a try. Being in town for work I did not want to go to the usual corporate bars and restaurants. This was the opposite of that. The place has quite a bit of space if you include the upstairs, but was very crowded showing that the locals knew exactly the deal. It was extremely busy, but the bartenders were keeping up and then some. It was incredible to watch. Drink after drink, dish after dish, they couldn't be slowed down. The chili and burger that I had were absolutely delicious. It tasted like you had a backyard barbecue and had grilled some hamburgers. No matter how long the wait is to find a seat, this is a place that is worth visiting if you are in Cleveland. Very highly recommended!

Visited Johnny's Little Bar today for lunch with coworkers. Looking at the menu, it seems burgers are the way to go. So that's what I requested. This place is a literal hole in the way, but they serve up some tasty lunch specials. The waitress mixed up our orders, but worked it out correctly. The poor woman was running the bar and was the only waitress on a busy lunch day. She must have been working at least eight tables alone and she did a good job of it. The menu has new prices on it, so be sure to look at the most recent menu. Good food, good service!

Cheddar cheese burger with sautéed onions and onion rings.

This was a great little, dive bar. Everything met and exceeded my expectations. The burger was perfectly cooked and dressed. I opted for the onion rings and I did not regret it. Once again, perfectly cooked and they had great flavor. The taps had local brews on hand. I tried two different Ohio brews and they were both delicious. Spoke briefly with the manager and he gave Me some great recommendations for exploring the area. I am unfamiliar with the area, but he gave me some advice for exploring.

Neither dive bar food nor burgers get much better than this--Johnny's is comfortable and the food is delicious. Of course, I had to try the "world famous" burger with fries. The burger was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Certain to be my go-to burger joint anytime I'm downtown.

Low cost but good food and beer! Atmosphere was also nice, traditional style bar. Good service

This hidden bar behind the main Johnny's restaurant is well revered in the Cleveland area and especially before or after games! I once had a gent buy the entire bar a round when we won a Browns game - granted this was our break away game after our very long streak of losses AND it isn't a big bar haha. Still, we were stoked! Everyone knows it so I'll just say it - you come here for the ambiance of a dive bar with the side perk of THE BEST DAMN CHEESEBURGER. Do not let yourself get here after the kitchen closes or you will smell the wafts of burger around you and be so saddened. It is truly a staple in the burger community of CLE. Service is hit or miss and sometimes you'll get a really great bartender, but I dunno, I live around the corner and it's not consistent in that regard. Then again, what restaurant is anymore? It's tough post covid I tell you. I would say 75% of the time I have at least satisfactory service but I would not say it has ever been above and beyond. Then again, this is a dive bar in an alley of downtown Cleveland, what exactly do I expect? Weekdays kitchen has been closing at 9:30 so get your butts in there fast - even though they may not close until 2, their kitchen is bye bye bye. Their apps and salads are good and usually have a strong selection of draft craft beers. Whoa that's a doozy. I meant what I said. Supporting local brews is always a win in my mind!

So, I quickly messaged a good friend on December 30th (afternoon) and we planned to arrive for dinner. DINNER - The style is TAPAS so the food is small plates. Dinner was delicious. My friend and I ordered several dishes to share including sides (mushrooms, broccolini, and eggplant), rice, and 2 meats (sirloin steak and chicken skewers). The flavour was rich enough but not too strong. Pricing is slightly high but the quality is great. It's sad that the investor decided to close down this Japanese restaurant so early. They only opened in July 2025 so after 6 months they are closing. It takes time for a restaurant to see growth in customer base and money. Perhaps they didn't advertise well enough but whatever the case, I'm glad I got to try their food. Customer service was amazing. My friend and I were greeted when we arrived and were checked on throughout the night. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 60/365 total reviews in 2025 - 841 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 31 December 2025

We tried 6 dishes and 2 sashimi dishes and it was a perfect amount of food for 3 people. The food came out extraordinary fast too I was shocked. They were busy but efficient, I was quite impressed. The must haves are the chicken rice bowl, the yellowtail, and the beef cheek. I love the wide variety of food options for vegetarians and meat lovers. I will say, the food still needs some fine tuning. The flash fried octopus had a weird texture and the sauce was way too overpowering. The squash was good but didn't have anything that made it stand out than anything I could've made at home. Excited to come back to keep trying out more flavors!

CLE's best kept secret!…read more A few of my friends raved about Smoke & Mirrors, so I finally checked it out. I stopped in during Stargazers Ball hosted by YoreCraeft Productions. It was a fun cosmic costume party at Smoke & Mirrors. Smoke & Mirrors delivers on their promise, there are mirror accents and intermittent smoke. They also have a lot of silver accents that have a cool juxtaposition with the cave look. You can find this nightclub underground at Clandestina on West 25th. Enter the club by going through mezcalería (Clandestina) and going downstairs. The club calls themselves "subterranean catacomb club." I'd describe it as a nightclub giving off speakeasy vibes with some exposed brick, cave vibes, and sultry red illumination. It's a very mysterious dungeon looking club. It's raw and unusual for the local nightclub scene in the very best of ways. The coolest space in this club is the once upon a time coal room that serves as a little private nook to sip your cocktails. The rest of the club has one dance floor, some comfy seats against the wall, and a small bar. It's very intimate. The club is mostly known for its EDM DJs. Don't expect big names but expect good music. You can find their lineup on their IG @smokeandmirrorscle. They're open on Thursdays for karaoke, and Saturdays for DJ and dancing. The party that I attended had a lot of dancing and good vibes. The club seems to have a cover charge, but the amount is not shared on their socials. The menu consists of cocktails, craft beer, and wine, which is a generous selection for a night club. There were some themed cocktails during my visit ranging from $8-$14. I certainly plan to stop by during a regular weekend night to check out the full experience and DJ's. You should too. If you drop in, stop Clandestina bathroom for a selfie with flattering light. Can't wait for my next visit!
