We can't say enough good things about our experience with Milly Ramsey. She responds quickly to emails, respects customers and those being honored with her cake, and asks all the right questions. A first-rate professional. My mom is a retired university professor, and also a dealer of rare books. Milly created a cake with two extremely realistic books as its base. If you looked at the edges, you could even see the appearance of individual pages! Gold decorated the bindings, which had the appearance of rich leather. We told Milly that mom had hand-made several quilts. Milly requested some photos, and then created a faithful miniature replica of a quilt mom had made for my brother, draping this decorative element artfully over the books. As a final touch, the writing on the cake was presented on a replica of an old-fashioned library book withdrawal sheet! AND everything was not only edible, but mouthwateringly delicious. There is big bright pink feathers wings and a swing covered in rose vines that the owner allowed my daughter to sit on and take pictures. There is also a rose wall for backdrop. The cakes come in beautiful packaging and are super moist. There is also chocolate covered strawberries and many other Portuguese desserts. There is also flan and surprisingly empanadas and other savory bites. Sadly, they don't serve iced coffee. But they do have hot coffee, cappuccino, lattes. The bakery is also located at the edges of Hager Pond. You can enjoy your baked goods with a hot drink by a wooden gazebo just a few stores down from the bakery or looking out at the pond if you swing around behind the shop and park in the back parking area. When the cake was cut it had obviously been frozen as the butter had seized and crumbled when cut. This beautifully decorated and tasty cake presented as a complete mess. When the bride and groom cut the cake, chunks of frosting fell away. Ruined our pictures completely. I looked around Yelp for gourmet cupcakes in the area and came across Little Feet Treats in Stow. Although the name threw me a little I contacted the proprietor and put in my order. There were a plethora of combinations to choose from as well as customizable options. I went for three dozen "simple" cupcakes (red velvet with buttercream, vanilla and chocolate (both with espresso buttercream). Paige (the woman who owns the business) was prompt to confirm my order, sent me an invoice via email later in the week and was very flexible when scheduling my pickup. I cannot, CANNOT, tell you how much people LOVED those cupcakes. I saved a few of them from the party to bring to a BBQ the next day and people were raving about them even a day later. More people talked about the cupcakes than the smoked and grilled meats! It's a bit of a hike (the business is near Honey Pot Hill Orchards) but you can't go wrong with these treats!
