I even spotted more multicultural cuisine?! Sushi in Arizona? I think we're moving the proverbial needle and finally getting some diversity! I love it! Every time I visit Laughlin (which is right across the state-line bridge) I MUST visit Bullhead. It's got a massive Walmart with cool AZ merch and reasonably priced food. Bullhead also has lots of public beaches with beautiful views of the Colorado River. I've noticed Bullhead is growing substantially when it comes to real estate, there's plenty of new builds which are right in front of the water. I've heard they have great AirBnB options too! I still have a slight preference for Laughlin (you can't help but compare the two given the distance), as Nevada is one of my favorite states. However, Bullhead City is definitely a great vacation destination for a mellow time by the river. Oh! And they love a coffee shop called The Human Bean, it's on my checklist for next time!

It's fairly developed & it's where you will find a Sam's Club, Walgreens, to Chili's, even a camping area. Overall from what I did observe appeared to be a nice little town town that is still in the early stages. There you have my 4 star review.

There are a few launches on Lake Mead, and we tend to head to Princess the most as there seems to be less hustle and bustle and it is closer to the coves we like to snag for the day. You can get an annual pass and that will save you some money. If you are there often it would be worth it. We love the river, however so much more relaxing to find a cove and just chill. We prefer to stay at Princess Cove because it is away from the river and that is where the crowds are. Princess Cove has a boat dock and their is plenty of packing at the hilltop. Please be mindful to pick up all trash to preserve this environment.

After visiting here for about 5 times now I have come to the conclusion that this place…read moresucks..................for those that reside here anyway. I come here to work on their copier machines and I can tell you that the inmates here are neither unhappy nor happy. More like content. You see this place is considered a minimum security facility. Meaning it is a holding cell for those that have 5 or less years left on their sentence. As I am escorted by an armed security guard to the machines I service, ironically I don't get any stares or jeers from the inmates in regards to my own personal freedom. Probably because these guys are probably looking forward to their release soon (not sure if 5 or less years is soon but to them I guess that is soon enough). I gotta admit though for a minimum security prison, it is very secure with checkpoints and steel doors that are magnetically sealed. Of course there are cameras everywhere as well. Just for me to enter, I needed to be searched via metal detector and pat downs. Im lucky they don't do body cavity searches or I just might have to call in sick every time these guys call for service on their copiers. I would love to take more pics but they don't allow any electronics whatsoever in the building. I have to check in on Yelp in my car before I go inside. Only pic I took was the sign pointing me which way the prison was. When I do my work here, I always have questions for the guards and they always have something interesting to say. Like how some inmates don't actually want to leave this place because they are scared of the outside world and don't want to hassle with working a 9 to 5 job to pay bills. That's kind of a messed up way to look at things but at the same time it makes sense. As for the employees that work here, they seem ok with it. Im pretty sure each one them made a conscious choice to work here. It's not like they were banished here as a form of punishment or career choice. In actuality, their demeanor would be just like any other place of business I would go to service their machines. So in conclusion, I have neutral expectations when I come here. I thank God everyday that I have a decent life. Im sure some of these inmates that reside here are good people that just made bad decisions. This Hwy is a spur off of Veterans Memorial Highway also know as US 95. Several US flags are placed at this memorial as well as each flag of the US military including Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Located nearby are piers and docks that will bring you to the waters edge of the Colorado River. On this day we were able to see many duck species that were playing in the water. The flags were also standing tall with the desert wind gusting.
