I'm giving this shop 1 star because yelp wont let me give any less than that. I brought my car to this shop and spoke to Dia, who to my knowledge is the owner. I came in for an inspection, and after maybe 5 minutes he came out and told me that my car didn't pass. He gave me a quote for a little less than $400 and charged me for the inspection ($37, I live in Putnam County it should have been $21) and told me that if I came back and had the work done there he wouldn't charge me again for the inspection. I never went back. I brought the car to a friend to get my rear brakes fixed, as that was one of the reasons the car didn't pass. I was told that my front brakes were metal on metal and my rear brakes were absolutely fine. I then brought the car a few weeks later to another mechanic for the inspection to be done again, I was told the stabilizer link (another reason I supposedly failed) was fine and that it didn't appear that the inspection was ever run through the system, had it been I wouldn't have been charged the full TWENTY ONE dollars that an inspection costs for Putnam County residents. This guy is a scam artist, I wouldn't even get gas at this station in fear that there would be nails by the gas pump to pop my tires. read more

Update: The $1000 dollars of work was done prior to my visit to Mohegan and was for crucial engine repairs, as well as some new tires. Which is why I was assured my car was ready to pass, it had spent the last month being worked on extensively. I went back to my normal shop the next day and was passed for half the price in half the time and they actually ran the computer. And seeing as how my mechanic never once mentioned the need for a new bracket or that my belts were cracked (as Mohegans quote did) I don't believe my comments are in any way defamation. read more

I have been bringing my cars there since Diah took over and have had great service. He hasn't shown any desire to do work that wasn't required. I drive a lot of miles for my work pulling a trailer at times and the truck is running well. He has been easy to get on the phone and schedules timely appointments many the same morning. the worst! i had my car towed. they left the windows open with heavy rain over night the car interior was soaking wet and full of tree dropings. also left over head light on and killed the battery. i saw a damaged rear bumper due to bad tow but was afaird to say anything because they were so nasty. read more
