Just an updated review of how much I love this place. It's been about a year since my last review…read moreand it feels people are a bit more organized with their set up. I still really like Rita's but right across from them is a wonderful charcuterie/beef selection. I usually get their naked bacon and black pepper bacon because my boyfriend loves it. They also sell really good hot dog sausages on the side. Verna's bakery is another up and coming one with their smoothie selection. I'm huge into their green machine. It's busy but everything moves fairly quickly.

My hubby and I caught the tail-end of the market and bought some treats to take home! Veg Heaven - Scrumptious vegan pastries particularly the moist and fluffy blueberry muffin! The banana muffin and apple turnovers are tasty too. While the bbq fried chicken sandwich was fun to try, it was dense and messy. The chocolate eclairs that I got from the Capital Harvest on the Plaza farmers market in DC was divine. The pastries rotate around different farmers markets, will have to check out their Tyson's location! Twin Valley Distilleries - The whiskey and flavored rum tasting was too tempting to pass up a bottle! The sweetness of the fresh juices perfectly masked the rum, cutting the alcohol content to 15% ABV. Refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day with a nice kick! We bought all 3 flavored rums at $25/each - Hibiscus Sorrel, Fruit Punch, and Pineapple. Potomac Sweets - The croissants and decadent pastries looked scrumptious! Although the pastries are stored in a glass display case, they are still baking under the sun and are dry and stale. The brownie was alright. Recommend grabbing a pastry here bright and early when the market opens. Senzu Juice - Refreshing cold-pressed juices. The "Refresh" Watermelon Mint juice is my favorite. Liberty Delight Farms - All sorts of dog goodies from raw bones to chunky pieces of dried beef heart and chicken/beef liver. Treat your dog at the market! Great place to grab some breakfast and some treats to take home!

My Mom had their green beans as a side and I had a few - they were crispy and very good. Too many places over cook things. Waitress behind the bar was great. Nice 'neighborhoody' casual atmosphere. First time here - will hopefully be back within a few weeks. Five stars, albeit based on one visit Decent beer selection, nothing I hadn't had before. But that's a personal problem, not a restaurant problem. ;-)

Three stars for the nostalgia of rum buns alone. Been meaning to stop by this place for YEARS and…read morefinally made it! Any Marylander of the Boomer and GenX generation knows about O'Donnell's RUM BUNS. I used to come here with family back in its heyday and these were served table side before our meal. How crazy is that, a nice lil somewhat sinful dessert BEFORE some MD crab?! Those were the days! The rum buns are more nostalgia more than anything, I wouldn't say they'll blow your socks off, but hey, nostalgia is nostalgia. Well, I'll need to dine in here for a full and complete verdict, but my quick grab and go visit was a tad chaotic. Service for taking orders could improve - you walk in, there's a seafood counter to your left, bakery counter to your right (both were unmanned when I walked in) and in the middle is a deli section with the cash register where I assume they take orders. We stood there for a few good minutes before getting anyone's attention despite the fact a manager asking staff (not customers) if everyone was being helped. Clearly staff did not know who was waiting to check out, take orders or just waiting for their orders to arrive. So it was just weird. No one greeting you as you walk in either, it just also weird because there's no clear line anywhere you stand. Otherwise, rum buns were as I remembered them. Also picked up crab dip and chicken salad from the grab and go section from the back and they were just ok, not bad, not great. So will come again for a future visit hoping to have a much better meal and experience!

I am an Aldi virgin! I have never been inside an Aldi before today. I was in the shopping center…read moreand needed yogurt, so I stopped by to take a look. The good, the bad, and the ugly: the good are the prices. The prices are great, not getting around that fact. The bad is the selection. They have very limited selection and most of it is brands, I have never heard of. So, when I went to look for yogurt, there was one or two brands and neither of those were Greek yogurt. I walked around the store for a few minutes and no one offered their help or asked if I needed any help or service. So, I found them lacking in employees. Lastly, it is just the ambiance. It reminds me of a big box store. It is not well organized or maybe it is just not my cup of tea. Now, to be fair, it could be this particular Aldi, but I just think it is a no frills shopping grocery store. And, I need some of those extras when I go shopping. Sorry, Aldi, we were just not meant for each other.

Something else is going in on the end of the strip. The layout is basically the same as the Aldi off Cherry Hill Road. It's well stocked. The Aldi Finds aisle is smaller than I expected. I'm always a sucker for items I don't need, but I plan to give the one find I bought for $4.99 to my mom. I got away with only spending $19.00. (Shrimp fried rice is really good for $4.99.) If I have a need to go to PetSmart, or The Big Greek cafe nearby, I will shop here again. Until then, I will stick with my Aldi 1.5 miles away.

Local farmers come from around the county for the weekends, and I love picking up fresh produce from them; One of the regulars even makes their own jams! A special, historic, little market hall - since 1932 - open only several days a week, featuring stalls with local items. Free to enter and shop! This Wednesday morning, only the florist and a farm goods stand were open. Although no need for produce at the moment, I appreciated their locally made items like assorted goat milk soaps from Madison Fields in Dickerson, plus various jarred items from McCutcheon's in Frederick, like: Fruit Preserves, Spreads, Butters, and Marmalades; Wildflower Honey; Hot Chow Chow, Hot Pepper Relish, and Bread & Butter Pickles; Spiced Peaches; as well as Apple and Spaghetti Sauce. Bought a jar of McCutcheon's Beet Balls, pickled that is, to take back to New York. Look forward to stopping by Farm Women's Market another time, like on a Saturday when I'm told it will be filled with all the vendors, to see what local cheeses and baked items are available! They also have a Flea Market there on Sundays. Recommend checking it out!

What a beautiful gem we have in Kensington!…read more I was on my way to my niece's graduation and needed a flower arrangement. It was last minute and thought of just stopping by at the convenient store. I googled and this cute shop popped up! Store is on Howard avenue right in front of quality tires. There's plenty of parking right in front. Upon arrival the door was locked but there was a sign that let me know to ring the doorbell. Someone answered right away and came to open the door! I wasn't sure what I was getting. The person at the front desk let me know there were some pre-made arrangements or they could make one for me ! I opted for the personalized bouquet. I chose sunflowers and variations on blush and pink colors. The price was reasonable and she let me know the arrangement would be ready in 30 minutes. I ran a couple errands and stopped by to pick them up after. They were absolutely beautiful! The overall process was easy, questions were answered and my flowers were ready relatively fast! They offer delivery service as well. Overall I'm very happy and pleased with my personalized arrangement. I will definitely come back for more flowers in the future !
