Cavernous coffee shop. Beautiful pastries. Strong coffee. Interesting coffee preparations. Counter service was pretty quick. Not too crowded. Pretty spacious and comfortable. The many outlets available for laptops/tech is a nice feature. All of the stone/lack of carpet or soundproofing leads to an echo like effect. Could get noisy if crowded. We popped in during a visit to SI, as some of my bf's friends had mentioned Moka and Co to us. While I did not enjoy my actual coffee here (it was too... spiced in a weird way, I did not enjoy it), the pastries on offer are delicious. They are currently doing the viral fruit pastries, and I went for a tres leches mango to share. I got the Dubai chocolate croissant, and my bf got the pistachio raspberry croissant. Not something I would eat daily (the calories are probably insane), but as a once-in-a-while treat, this was great. Spacious cafe with lots of seating. Great for homework or studying. I love the interior and how modern it looks. Staff were nice and friendly. Since I was a first time customer I got 20% off my order. (5 stars for service). I tried the Moka spice latte with oat milk ($9 + $1 change of milk). The cups are big but drinks are little on the pricey side. The latte reminded me of spices in chai tea. They give a good amount of spice syrup because it sunk to the bottom and I have to constantly mix it up. You can definitely see all the specks of spices. (3.5/5) The desserts LOOKs really good too. Dubai chocolate inspired pastries since that's new the new trend. I tried two slices of the cakes but they weren't really good. They were bland but had crunchy pieces of pistachio inside (pistachio cream cake 2/5). It was moist though. The pistachio circle cake tasted a little stale (the circle one: has chocolate, cake, cream layers in a circle ring 1.5/5). Sadly they looked better than they taste. Overall, I would come here, get a drink and skip the pastries. I would do homework and study. read more

Lots of seating, nice ambiance, though it is quite dark in the back. I came around 9am on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. I opted for a sana'ani coffee and a tomato and olive bistro pastry to stay. It came out to almost $13, after a 20% discount, which I think is super high. The coffee came served on a tray with a carafe and a small glass mug, which made it taste even better. It had grinds on the bottom, like a Turkish coffee, so make sure you don't drink the whole thing. Even though my experience was positive, the price is pretty ridiculous as after a discount, it was $6 for a coffee and $6 for a pasty, not even a dessert or cake. read more

Had the Mufawar Coffee. Coffee was interesting and tasty with hints of cardamom. The inside looks spacious with loads of various desserts like milk cake and cream cake. Very laid back and the vibe feels like you are transported to the Arabian desert with calm music. People are friendly and service was quick. read more

Right as I've said New Dorp lane needs a coffee shop, Moka & Co made it to New Dorp Lane. The staff that greeted me was very kind and bubbly, adding to the welcoming energy that this coffee shop encompasses. The interior is so modern and unique, I wouldn't know it exists from the unsuspecting exterior. I ordered the Decaf Pistachio Latte with vanilla bean as a treat and it was delicious although it was a little strong for a decaf. The pistachio cake I paired with it was a little bland in comparison to how decadent it looked through the glass. Overall, this place stands out for its rich coffee roast blend and its ambiance, but because it's on the expensive side, it wouldnt be sustainable for me to indulge in regularly. read more

It seems like a great place to sit down and have coffee which has been missing for awhile in new dorp! The coffee is good but not amazing and the prices are a bit expensive for the only 16 Oz servings they give. It's worth trying but probably too expensive to become a regular. read more

Went to this location twice. First time, the employee was very nice and helpful. Explained the desserts to you if you're indecisive. Espresso milk cake is very good 10/10. Dubai cheesecake is a 6/10. However the second time I went, it was a different person in the front, the boss or manager it seemed like. I ordered 2 slices of cake. I waited almost 10 mins so I went to ask him about it since he was just standing there. Gave me a nasty attitude telling me they know and to just wait. I get it if it was a drink that needed to be made, but it isn't. Putting a slice of cake from the display case to a box should not take 10 mins. It was not even busy, there was 1-2 people besides me. If your employees/coworkers are busy, then maybe you should help out rather than standing there watching. read more

I came here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. The coffee was wonderful, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Unlike other places on the island, I was able to read and study without the staff staring at me insolently, providing unapologetically bad service, or making me feel rushed. The staff at Moka & Co are very kind and the place has a vibe similar to the way Starbucks used to be in the late 1990s, before it became crowded with loud music and impossible to find a seat. The vibe at Moka & Co is something that I deeply appreciate. I will definitely be back soon to read, study, write letters, and try different coffees and pastry combinations that are new to me. if I lived close by, I would come more often. But I'm content to make special trips out there whenever I can. read more

Although this cafe is a bit on the pricey side (with 9 dollars for a latte) I'd say that it's definitely worth it since the workspace is amazing. The tables have charging ports and the wifi is fast and free. Overall the music is also not too loud and most people in this cafe are studying or working so the environment is top notch. read more

It's a great place but they changed their hours which was the most appealing part of the cafe. They used to close at midnight and advertised them self as a study cafe but that is no longer the case. The coffee and tea is great though. read more

The vibes inside are very nice. The food I've never tried but looks good. Refreshers are good. Matcha is always just chunky and never really mixed well which is a big deal considering I spend $10 a cup and everytime I go it's never been made good.
