We have been showing in 4 inches of water for almost a year. No matter what we tried it would not drain; rotting out the stack, hydro jet, scoping to see what the clog was, etc. We've had various plumbers come out to assess the issue and no one has been able to fix it. Until Mokher. They came out and snaked the drain and then used a vacuum to suck out the clogged drain. The process took less than an hour and 7 Hatchimals later, our drain is unclogged. read more

After an unfortunate attempt to fix a problem myself, the main water line to my house burst. We had seen Mokher's vans in our neighborhood, and saw that they offered 24/7 emergency service. We called, and within a half hour one of their associates - Ryan - was at our house. He provided us with a quote that was comparable with other plumbers, and the job was complete within another half hour. It was a great first impression! read more

It pains me to give low-star reviews, but after a brief and unsuccessful encounter with Mokher Plumbing, I've no choice. Sewer water was coming up from the main line (conveniently located in my driveway) and beneath the pavers, a horrid smell bubbled. So, out of an emergency we called up Mokher Plumbing and within an hour (hence the 2 stars, not 1) Billy came over to diagnose the problem. He uplifted heavy driveway pavers, unsuccessfully snaked the pipe, and then left without solving anything (and also without ever repositioning the pavers). Then he charged $188 and never came or called back to make right on that pesky pipe. read more

Had some frustrating plumbing problems and called these folks. They did not immediately try to force an appointment on me like roto-rooter did. Instead they asked me about the situation and tried to offer some troubleshooting ideas. In the end I had to have them come out. Arrived on time, the guy who showed up really seemed like he knew was he was talking about and took pride in doing a good job. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they charged by the hour versus charging for the job, so it came out a little more than I wanted. Daniel showed up on time and was very professional. He worked quickly to resolve my sink issue that had old fittings and explained what he was doing and why. We had a plumbing issue that 3 plumbers could not figure out. We then called Mokher at the suggestion of a friend who had used them, and they figured out and solved the problem immediately. Ryan came out, investigated the issue and within just a few minutes identified the problem. Other plumbers wanted to charge me a lot of money to run a camera through the stack or conduct a "smoke test." Ryan said they could do those tests, but told me they probably weren't necessary, and then fixed the problem. I highly recommend these guys. They are knowledgeable, professional, fair, and want to help where others just want to find a reason to charge you money. read more

I decided to give Mokher Plumbing another chance, and I'm glad I did! This time, I dropped my diamond earring down the bathroom sink drain. After spewing out a few four letter words, I picked up the phone and called Mokher. It would be $125 to open up the drain trap, however they weren't sure they would be able to come that same day. They promised they would try, and less than two hours after I called Sam was on my door step! He quickly took apart the plumbing and removed my treasured diamond earring along with lots of hairy gunk! He completed the job, left everything the way he found it (nice and clean), and left. Sam was very professional and provided excellent service! I will definitely use Mokher again. read more

Really excellent service and very courteous both on the phone and in person. They squeezed me in on a very busy day after I called them about a problem with my kitchen sink. The gentleman on the phone was extremely nice and even explained to me what the problem could be. He initially had me set up for a morning appointment the following day (I called at approximately 1:30 on a Monday during the holiday weekend) but said he would send someone over if an opening came up. About 10 minutes later I received another call that a plumber was available after all and he offered to send him over. The plumber arrived about 20 minutes later and got to work right away. I am thrilled with their service and will not hesitate to use them again! read more

Full disclosure: I have never had these guys come out and do work but I'm basing this on my extensive interaction over the phone. This is the second time I call these guys with an issue and their service attitude over the phone is refreshingly excellent for Miami. The first time I had problems with my water heater. Like previous review said, they really take the time to troubleshoot over the phone rather than sending someone out. In this case we spoke 4-5 times the same day, where he researched my model online before and even called the manufacturer on my behalf - knowing they would not make any money. A salesperson myself I really appreciate this long term service mind-set! If I ever needed a plumber again - these were the guys I'd call. So... when I broke a pipe trying to install a new shower head I picked up the phone and called. And would you know - after explaining my issues he said "you need an Easy Out that you can pick up at any local hardware store for less than $20, I'd hate to send someone out for $150 when it's such an easy fix". He even asked where I lived and gave me the address to a local Pluming store that would carry the item... Guess who I'm calling next time... I almost hope next time they actually have to come out so I can start re-paying for this truly outstanding service! Only reason I don't give 5 starts is that I haven't actually used their services. read more

Water was draining into the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Mokher sent out a plumber who recognized the problem as a faulty garbage disposer. He replaced it. The plumber came on-time, went straight to work, and finished rapidly. Cost was $125 for the disposer plus $125 for the labor. If I have further problems, I will call them back. read more

I recently contacted Mokher plumbing following a recommendation from bath fixtures store near them. Unfortunately I had not read these reviews before hiring them to install a toilet for me. The owner, Scott, came to my house to bring a chip of the possible colors to match my toilet and he gave me an estimate of 200, at most 250 for installation. I ordered the toilet and fortunately had it delivered at my home and called Scott to let him know that the toilet had arrived. I had to call twice to see when they were coming and he finally scheduled Ryan to come on the second day that I called. I was told that he was coming around 12:30, but he actually came at 3:00 pm and when he looked at the job he said that it probably will take 1 1/2 hours. Well it turned out to be a simple job that should have taken no longer than 1 hour if he had everything he needed with him. But he had to go to his truck at least 3 times and he stayed out there for at least 10 minutes each time. He finally finished the job at 4:50 and then it took him 25 minutes to load the old toilet and boxes to his truck and to write up the receipt and in the end charged me $306 for an installation that should have only lasted at most 1 1/2 hours and so at least $100 less than what he ultimately charged me. The installation was done correctly, but consumers need to beware about these practices. If you decide to hire them at least insist on a written estimate prior to the job and then be aware of the time they take to be out on their trucks and cleaning up afterwards to add time to the job. They charge you by the minute, so beware. read more
