F/U to 1st review. Jesse repaired an upstairs bathroom that leaked to the family room downstairs of our home. I questioned Jesse about finding the issue so quickly. He assured me that shower leaks are common and the solution was to replace the cartridge. He said I have a part in the trunk if you want I could do it now. I inquired if he was sure of the problem because I don't want a problem later. He said yes, if you have a problem you can give me a call. He was very trusting. But, we did not use the shower due to the tiles being off, and I did not want water to continue flowing inside the wall. I had the tiles repaired and mold treatment done in the bathroom. In addition, I had the family room leak area treated for mold, the ceiling repaired, and the wall retextured and painted. All of this took time, and I did not use the shower during the repairs. Thanksgiving holiday, I had family in from out of town. They traveled 10 hours and when the first person went upstairs to use the shower the water started leaking in the exact same place onto my TV and furniture. 9 of us shared the other bathroom for their stay. Monday, I called Jesse said it's my birthday text me your info I will call this week. The next day I texted, I received no response. I called the office and a woman took a message. Two days later, I called again left a voicemail and texted. Jesse phoned stating he was busy, but he will come by Thursday with the camera to view behind the tile. I took off from work to meet him. When he got there he seemed to be in a hurry and did not use a camera. He said I am going to change the water spout because someone put sealant on this one and this must be where the leak is from. I asked if this is the cause of the leak what did you fix before. Jesse said I don't remember. I reminded him of the issue and what he did. He continued to make comments that someone else caused the leak meaning the person who retiled. I said the faucet is the original hardware when the house was built. He became upset and seemed agitated and rushed. I said okay let's say you replace the wrong part I will try the water spout. What happens if that doesn't work. He stated, I am doing this for free I should be charging you. I said I am double paying for repairs because you did not fix the leak properly. But to give him the opportunity to rectify the issue I agreed to try the water spout replacement. He left without testing the shower. I live in a quiet community and I heard a loud aggressive male voice in front of my house I opened the door. It was Jessie yelling about me and my house repairs to his coworker that I did not know was waiting for him. Now, I understood why he was rushing and did not take the time to properly diagnose my issue. I said you are too loud in front of my house please leave. He continued to make comments as he drove off. I was shocked because he was so pleasant during the first service visit. I called the office for the owner. A young lady answered and said I am one of the owners. I recognized her as the office personnel who also make the appointments. I explained the ordeal and Jesse's repairs. I told her Jesse still did not properly diagnose the problem. In fact, he told me I am trying to trick him when I asked if he knows the real problem or not. Then he said I am leaving because I am getting nowhere with you and preceded outside with a ruckus. His attitude was total opposite than our first meeting. I expressed the conversation did not go well, but I am willing to work pass it. I only want my home repaired correctly. The young lady who spoke as the owner said it could be the entire faucet is bad and Jesse tried replacing the part that normally wears out and causes leaks. I said appreciate the information, but if this was explained to me I would have opt to replace the entire faucet than chance another leak. Further, I said if I had been made aware of the risk and choose to use the quick method I would not be calling your office. She asked me to try the water spout repair and to call back if the leak continues. I asked if the company would be covering any of the cost that I have to pay again for tiling, mold, and the expense of painting. She said to call back with a total we can work something out. Monday 12/7/15, I spoke with the owner again to advise the leak is still happening. She was hesitating to speak. I said if Jesse is not willing to return then send someone else. She said let me call the guys I will get back to you. Thursday 12/10/15, I have not received a call back. They no longer answer my calls. The company is on call. I am sure they have received my messages. To avoid the headache I will only use a reputable company. Also, I will be getting an estimate for all additional cost out of pocket and seeking advice. read more

Like Lis D. my experience started out nice but since I had hired them for a larger job I had more interaction than Lucille D., Nataly D and M.C. (the previous reviewers) and they proved to be one of the MOST unprofessional companies I have ever worked with. To list a few things and be straight to the point (if not I would write a BOOK with all my experiences). Basically they are Liars (rarely ever do anything they say and are always full of excuses), poor plumbers - the quality of workmanship I received (for a job that they NEVER finished & I had to end up hiring another contractor at the end) was awful: pipes were not properly attached to the walls, pipes were leaking, the washing machine drain line was connected to an abandoned well, drywall screws were used to attach outside piping to the wall, the toilet flange was not repaired and the fridge water line was not installed...list goes on,They are Criminals - Bernardo actually pulled out a knife on my husband when confronted about the poor quality of work he did (CRAZY), illegal - come to find out they do not have worker's compensation insurance for ANY of their employees and the person who holds the license is Bernardo's wife who NEVER is at the job site....which makes me wonder why his wife had to get the license- he must not be able to pass the background check required by Florida...he is NOT even on the corporation on sunbiz (huge flags right there), our house was FULL of beer cans from the workers - they'd drink beer all day and throw the cans in the house and yard, when they did not fulfill what our contract had specified I was told, and I quote "I wipe my a** with the Contract" and was threatened that if I didn't deal with poor quality of work they would just not come back to do anymore work and I would loose all the money I already paid them (which was $3800 by the way which $1030 was actually STOLEN from my credit card). Which at the end I had to get new contractors to finish the job and ended up paying these clowns all but $500 (which was suppose to be due after the job was done) on a $4300 contract. THEN the best part is they actually sent me an "Intent to Lien" my property if I did not pay them the remaining $500 that was due when the job was finished EVEN THOUGH they did not complete the job but another contractor did and I had to pay that contractor more to fix all of Cutler Bay Plumbing's mistake. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND CAUSE YOU NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. I have done tons of construction projects and NEVER have dealt with people like them!! I wish I could give negative stars. I just hope that this helps someone out there from making the same mistake I did. read more

First off there are no adequate words to describe the exemplary service we received today. Words will be meager in trying to convey to you all how great the service was. Jess, our plumber was stellar. He did things no other plumber we have ever had had not done or even mentioned were possible. He also took the time to explain every single thing we was doing. Very appreciated and empowering too. If you don't take the time to or can't explain what you're doing that is a disservice to the consumer and you basically suck at customer service, which is part of your job, just fyi. Also goes a long way in instilling faith in what you're doing for your customer. Basic facets to good service that is very much overlooked, yet so simple. He also kept at it till he was resolute and satisfied that the problem was taken care and took additional steps I have not witnessed till today to make certain. He was also forthcoming and honest. Very rare and also speaks volumes of him. He cares about the customer and actually not only does his job right, but loves it and it shows in his work and devotion to get it done no matter what. Six months ago we had a plumber here for the same issues, the main sewer line and the bad drainage in the kitchen sink. We were charged astronomical prices, insane freaking prices and they did not do any damn thing close to what this young man did. To anyone who has actually written a bad review about this company may I suggest you wait till you have recovered from your horrendous day, just like drinking and driving, don't write pissed and if that was not the motivation or case for your bad review, then blow it out your ass. We will never call upon ANYONE ELSE. Oh, and to all you plumbing companies I spoke with in trying to schedule this, F off, you were each full of it. Seriously, you all are. And very unprofessional to talk smack about your competitors. You will not win me over, that only serves to prove what schemers you all are and what you will say to TRY and get my or any other consumer's money. Very low of you, unprofessional and fyi, nothing you say will justify it nor your insane pricing, NOTHING. This company will whip your ass, and they charge fair and reasonable prices. We are over the moon with the service we received and the pricing. You are high if you think otherwise of this company or aren't pragmatic enough to give them a try. I had an issue with my bathrooms backing up. I called 2 different plumbers before contacting Bernie. The first plumber said it was a city issue. The second plumber said i had a broken pipe and was going to be very expensive to fix. I decided to contact Cutler Bay Plumbing after being referred by some friends and family. I spoke with the lady at the main number and told me one of the plumbers would contact me shortly. Bernie called within 20 minutes to discuss my issue and came out the next day for an estimate. He offered to camera my line for free just to see what the real cause of the backup was. He instantly saw (which was very clear on his camera) that the original pipe was pipe lined and the lining was just peeling back causing everything to get stuck at that point. He gave me several options on how to fix the problem and how much each option would cost. The prices were very reasonable, but I knew after 5 minutes of talking with Bernie, that I was going to hire him to fix my problem. I called him the next day to set an appointment and he was able to come out the next morning. He had to break tile and dig about 4 feet in my house to get to the pipe to replace the pipe with the lining was peeling. He (and his partner, I don't remember his name but he was awesome) finished the job the same day and cleaned up all the dirt. I will definitely be calling Bernie from now on with any plumbing issues. Jessie saved my day, last night I decided I to swap out a light fixture over my vanity, not a big deal right? Boy was I wrong, little did I know right next to the box was a pipe, I screwed right into the darn thing. Water started gushing everywhere right out of the electric box. I turned off the water main and thought this is a huge problem, my boyfriend is going to me sooo mad at me.So I cleaned up the mess and like any girl would do I got into bed and started googling, then I thought maybe Yelp will be good to check out. That is where I found Cutler Bay Plumbing, I read all the awesome reviews and knew these were my guys. I emailed them late at night and woke up the next morning at 7:30 and called them because I have had horrible experiences with other plumbers and I never messaged a business on yelp before so I was worried, surprise surprise someone answered Jessie was a great communicator, he ran a little later that he originally said but no big deal because I knew he was on his way, he called and texted me to keep me updated on his arrival, he even confirmed my address with google driving directions. Jessie was very professional gave me a very reasonable quote and by lunch time my leak was fixed. Now I am going to take a shower because I have water again but had to write this review first. I had a clog and backup in my pipes on a Saturday night. The next morning I called my regular plumber. He never replied. I looked online and found Cutler Bay Plumbing. I called them at 8am on Sunday morning. Bernardo the owner answered the phone. He was most pleasent for early Sunday morning. He said he was on a job but would try to see me later in the morning. Shortly after one of his plumbers called me and Bernardo was tied up and he would be at my house shortly. He quickly snaked the line and released the clog. However, he said he thought there might be a problem and that Bernardo could check it out during the week. We agreed and Bernardo set up an appointment for Thursday. My system was working so Thursday was great. When he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem. He could see that my pipes were full of water and not draining. He also saw that my pipes seem to be ok. He diagnosed my problem as something with the septic tank. He located the system and determined that the connection from the tank and the drain field had collapsed and need to be repaired. He set to work and repaired the system in two hours. Fantastic job. His work is excellent. He is fast efficient and thorough. I highly recommend him and his company. Martin T read more

Bernardo is awesome. We had a blockage in our kitchen drain line. Our house was built in 1967 and has cast iron drains. Many neighbors have had to jackhammer up their slab to replace drain lines so we feared the worst. But Bernardo snaked the line to clear the blockage, hydro-jetted to clean it out, and then ran a camera through to inspect and map out all of the drain lines. He told me the lines are intact and should be good for a while longer. He could easily have convinced me we needed an expensive repair, as I had no idea what I was seeing with the camera. He stayed around while we ran a load of laundry to make sure all was fine. Then he noticed a small leak in the drain for the washing machine, which he replaced while he was here. When he gave me the bill it was for a little bit LESS than he had quoted me for just the drain work. Bernardo told us what to do to maximize the life of our old cast iron drains and showed us how he would do the repair if we ever did need to repipe the kitchen drain. I couldn't be happier and will call Cutler Bay Plumbing whenever I need a plumber in the future. read more

Had an outdoor hose spigot break on me last night. Had no way to stop the water from gushing out. Had no option but to shut the water off to the whole house. I called cutler bay plumbing from my office the next morning. The lady on the phone roof my contact info and said she would have the technician call me. Within 10 minutes the gentleman called me asking about my problem. I told him the situation and said that I should be home about 3pm. The gentleman called me at 3 on the dot to see if I had gotten home. Within 10 minutes from that call he was at my door. He did a fantastic job repairing the Spigot and even re plastered the area where the pipe came out of the wall. He did such a great job that I asked him to replace another Spigot on the other side of the house that was damaged. He happily agreed. He even gave me a great price to repair both faucets. The gentleman's name was Bernardo. He is great at what he does. I would highly recommend using Cutler Bay plumbing for all of my future plumbing needs. I called Cutler Bay Plumbing after seeing such good reviews and they did not disappoint. I called and spoke to Jesse, the owner and he gave me a quote and a run down of what a house call for my issue would intel and set me up for an appt 2 days later. My issue was the washer would back-up into my kitchen skin when it drained and I was having a terrible roach problem in that area. Jesse sent his crew out, snaked my pipes (found & cleared a clog in the kitchen area) , ran a camera and showed me all the footage to show me the condition of all ~50ft of my pipes running to the bathrooms, etc. I have old cast iron pipes and was concerned of any protentional issues but the gentlemen showed me they are still in good conditions which gave me a piece of mind. I'm happy to report, no backing up issues and no roaches! Also, the final price was lower than originally quoted and that was with them replacing a pipe under the sink for me. While I did not price compare to other companies, I thought what I paid was fair and I while definitely use them again. read more
