No taking photos inside (there are a bunch of different signs telling you this) so it's hard to describe what's for sale. Fun to take a gander inside if you happen to be in the area and find a parking spot but probably not the most exciting place to go for specifically since you'd have to fight traffic and very confusing parking rules to get here.

I feel like yelp has created an unhealthy dynamic of people expecting 5 star treatment everywhere they go and for workers to act as slaves. Personally... the grumpier, more eccentric, or offbeat a shopkeeper is the more I love it. It's what us LA natives grew up with and it gives a place character and authenticity. If people have issues with character other than "hello how may I serve your pretentious entitled self today?" They should be shopping in a different neighborhood such as Beverly Hills. Regardless of what anyone says, this shop has the most beautifully curated collection of fine Japanese treasures and I will be a lifelong customer. I asked two of the sales associates who were chatting to one another if they could please take it down for me so I could take a look at it. They looked at each other weirdly for a moment, and then proceeded to tell me awkwardly "No, sorry. That's just a really special piece..." Like, WHAT?! I had already experienced questionable customer service at this location before, but this was SO weird and embarrassing - especially since I had serious intentions of purchasing and a lot of knowledge about the product. I will take my business to SSENSE or DSM, or pick from the plethora of other niche designer retailers who have a better selection for much better prices anyways.
