This is a walk in treasure chest - found some very cute gems here a few years ago and I adore the owner Nina so very much. She's smart and has a great eye.

cutest store front i've seen in LA - looks like a little chalet!

I get that it's a recession, but should my wardrobe have to suffer?! Some of my cutest outfits and accessories are from Cherry Pick - it's the stuff I get comments about, with props to the pink leather clutch I grabbed this summer. There's a pretty broad selection for women, with lots of fun and throwback accessories. I was impressed with how much they had on the men's side too. Cute location (and store), perfect area for the shopping-coffee-peoplewat ching combo. LA is a trek for me, so I was glad to find out they have an active Etsy store too.

    Miss you Mr. Williams

but the nice lady working there was extremely sweet and offered help but was not at all pushy.

Treehaus, on the other hand, had a ton of pieces that I've never seen before, either in Los Angeles or elsewhere. This shop carries a couple lines of interesting jewelry collections (I particularly liked the more industrial/brutalist of them), a range of adult and baby clothes and an interesting and eclectic line of eye wear. While the adult clothing skews toward femme, I would describe many of them as unisex, which fits the cool queer/feminist vibe of the shop. There were a lot of cool housewares that, again, I've never seen before. These range from the practical (metal soap dishes) to the purely aesthetic (fun art prints of famous spots in LA.) Lots of retro designs can be found to decorate your living space. Other things I really enjoyed: a human bone and organ ink stamp collection, fun notebooks and adorable stuffed animals. And of course, they had a great collection of books and cards. Prices were on par for quality. It's very middle of the road for a gift shop or boutique. The clerks on duty were friendly and personable. I would definitely have felt comfortable going to them with questions. I will definitely return the next time I'm shopping for a friend.

Fantastic store, little gem. Very courteous and professional staff as well. Will return!read more
