They carry a huge selection of men's and women's clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Most of them are from the 1920's to the 90's. Also they carry vintage guitars. All these nice items are neatly organized in their 2000sq ft store; stuff can be found by era and size in a brightly lit spacious environment. I found a nice brown bomber jacket (see photo) that I dig a lot albeit out of my price range. Price ranges from $5 to over $200 bucks. Atmosphere was relaxing. Staff was affable. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and I recommend this vintage store. read more

Wow! What a find! So much inventory and very good hand picked items. It was a day where I was looking for a vintage large glass cigar ashtray. Low and behold they had one! It was my first stop thrifting and found what I was looking for. Proven that you never know what you'll find here. Have to return to check out clothing and accessories. Staff is friendly and helpful. This place was amazing with loads of fun vintage pieces. Right when you walk in, it's like you're transported back in time to where fashion was an art. The piece that they carried from all eras were amazing and beautiful. Quality was excellent. The fur selection on site was pretty great. They have an extensive hat collection dating back to years and years ago. Racks and racks of fun pieces each one as nice as the previous piece. Decors, homeware, shoes and so on. All were amazing. I am an avid vintage shopper and initially I was loving this store! The selection and the layout is carefully curated! However, as I was shopping around, I had a few questions about some items in a case and when I attempted to get the attention of the petite girl with the purple hair, she had earbuds in her ears and was not paying attention to her surroundings. I tried to get her attention several times to no avail, which struck me as odd. Thankfully, the manager (tall blonde guy with glasses) was able to help me out! I'm not sure about that girl, but I'll be back and be sure to ask the gentleman for help in the future. read more

I met Nicole and Christian yesterday. Wow what amazing people! Although I was on a time crunch as I tried to get to as many vintage shops as possible, in order to find a specific shirt, I still managed to have a great experience. I loved listening to them telling older and newer historic tales of L.A. (one of my passions -- and Nicole even likes the Dresden, such a perfect person to befriend! This discussion was part of her multitasking, as she also was looking for sunglasses for me. Neat store, cool inventory, knowledgeable employees... What is not to like? I say it's one of the best vintage stores I've ever been to! The owner, Nicole, was welcoming, friendly and fashionable. I felt a very genuine attitude from her. She has a very strong eye when it comes to visual merchandising. She organized her store in different eras of fashion. From vintage jewelry, sunglasses, apparel, oh gosh where do I begin!! This place is packed to the brim. It's worth checking out because it's a time capsule. I personally didn't find a whole lot, but it was worth checking out. The pricing is on the higher end for items that are in better condition but I would think there's something for everyone in here. read more

I sell vintage clothing and books for a living so I go into a ton of vintage , consignment, thrift... stores across the state and this was hands down one of my best experiences ever. I was looking for a tie to match a suit I had just bought super helpful he gave me a whole rundown on how to match a tie with different suits. Let me bring in my suit to compare. He was super educated but not overwhelming or condescending which can sometimes happen when you are in a particularly Niche store. Prices were super fair most were under market relative to (eBay,Etsy, curated brick and mortar vtg stores) top to bottom great experience I go into 20+ Vtg,thrift,resale,consignment shops a week and this experience ranked higher than anything I can recall. read more

I went in to go find frames and found one that's been in there for more than 2 years. I saw it from the last time I was in there 2 years ago. It was marked as 56. I ask to see it and she tells me it's 80... she brings it down and the price tag is still there for 56. She instantly grabs it and tears off the tag and tells me the name of the artist but doesn't let me see the price. I finally ask her for the price tag and she says the price tag was not her writing...it clearly was. I really liked this store but she was extremely sketchy with the whole process. Unfortunately I will no longer be coming back cause of this. If you see a good price be careful cause she might mark it up... read more

Killer selection of vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories in excellent condition. Great staff and gorgeous space. Prices are reasonable for quality. I found a pair of vintage Mondrian-style go go boots here that I had searched years for! I couldn't believe it when I saw them in the shelf, and was even more surprised when I saw they were my size! Not only does Starday have an incredible vintage inventory (especially for us 40's/50's/60's era vintage lovers) but they also have an incredible tailor! I brought in a 1950's era wedding dress for some pretty major alterations & Christian worked some serious magic!! A nice,new, light and bright curated vintage boutique. Lotsa neat threads, cutesey home accessories, and some tasty costume jewelry and rat-packesque cuff-links. Nice and Spring-FRESH-smelling, with a helpful salesman. They could give some of the other resale stores in this 'hood some lessons in customer service! Kinda pricey, but high-quality, super-clean, ready-to-wear. Two large store fronts of goodies, and very Hollyglam dressing rooms. Parking really SUCKS in this gentrified stretch of East Hollywood Blvd. Be careful with the meters or you WILL get a ticket. Don't miss the near-by Wacko/le Luz de jesus gallery and a very GOOD Goodwill store. Call in sick at work and make a retail therapy/mental health day out of it! read more

Holy moly what a treasure trove! I feel terrible that I spent FOREVER in this store looking at every single thing and didn't make a purchase. This is a true vintage lovers dream, it felt like a museum! If you're looking for a complete dish set from the 1940s or a party dress from the 1950s or a pillbox hat from the 1960s - this is your store. It is a very specific era in style (seemed heavy on 50s&60s) and prices range depending on the piece. Like I said, it's FILLED with items so not every clothing piece is pristinely mended or cleaned but perhaps you can find a deal because of that? I don't wear vintage clothes anymore but did and actually have worked at a few vintage shops over the years and I found their selection to be good and priced well. They also have a very nice selection of mid-century stuff that was all price very nice. The room of vintage guitars and music stuff is VERY cool! read more

Trust me when I say I *know* my vintage - and this place is a rare find... and having just opened 2 weeks ago, it's only going to get better. They carry a great selection for both men and women - and I love the awesome Art Deco dressing room dividers! This is the perfect place for both vintage aficionados & more casual vintage wearers - there's a *wide* range of eras represented - I saw items from the 1930s all the way thru the 1980s... from Old Hollywood 40s glam & classic 50s day dresses and 60s MOD minis to funky disco dresses & the perfect 80s/90s duds for any upcoming Saved by the Bell inspiration. Irony, thy name is Screech. Or maybe Kelly. Whatever works. When we visited, they'd only been open for 11 days, and were still filling up the shop & getting things priced & put out - especially on the men's side... but we still found an amazing selection. I can't wait to give this one another visit the next time I'm in the area - I know we'll find more great vintage to shove into our already overflowing closets. As for prices - considering how sourcing vintage (most especially the pre-80s stuff) gets harder and harder as the years go by, we found their prices to be very fair. Pricing for vintage isn't arbitrary, as some people seem to think, but based on supply & demand - so I expect certain things to be on the pricier side. Despite common misconceptions, it's EXTRAORDINARILY UNLIKELY that you're going to find *any* 50s dresses at Goodwill - much less in your size... in good condition... CLEAN... and in a style/print you like. I laugh when people act like that's an option! It wasn't even likely back when I *started* wearing vintage waaaay back in the 80s! Even back then, we relied on vintage shops when we actually wanted a selection to choose from.... but the vintage shops of yore were usually crazy, disorganized messes - no comparison to what you'll find at Starday: clean merchandise, great customer service, well organized & easy to shop.
