I've seen advertisement for 5-6 ft or 6-7 ft and the quality/fullness of the trees seem to varies on the landscapers. This season was also apparently tough on inventory and some of the landscapers I spoke with had trouble getting the trees at the right height we wanted. (I know construction supplies are low too, we've been looking into other home reno projects) Jack was very responsive from the beginning when I first reached out and when I asked, sent me photos, video and even face timed me to show me examples of the trees I would be getting. His brother also paid an in person visit and chatted with my neighbor and I about what they can do and the location for planting. I spoke with a few other landscapers but ultimately went with J&R because they were responsive, straightforward and the price was competitive! The trees ended up looking great, fat and tall and gave me instant privacy!!

I've tried to reach and out and call him since the job has been completed to see what we could do to remedy this and he doesn't answer my calls or texts. I had my boyfriend call on an unknown number and he answered and said we would have to pay to have it fixed. I texted him saying I explained the situation to a friend that was planning to use him which then got his attention. He texted back saying to call that he doesn't respond to texts, which I did but his mailbox was full and he wasn't returning calls. I called him and he said I could pay him for a drainage system and that it was a difficult driveway. If I would have known it was "too difficult" for him I would have never hired him. This is no way to conduct business or to back your work. Very disappointed.

We were very disappointed in the way we were treated by this company. They were referred to us by a…read morevery reputable company, and so we felt we were in good hands. We were mistaken. We had a very large spruce tree that had died located near the curb and close to PSEG electrical wires. We called La May for an estimate to remove the tree, cart away the debris, and grind the stump. We were given an estimate. We discussed with LaMay the possibility of PSEG cutting the tree to below the wire line, and LaMay completing the job. Well, PSEG did come, spent two hours cutting the tree below the power line and left the debris on our lawn and that of our neighbor. I notified LaMay that PSEG had cut the tree and left the debris and requested they come to complete the job - cut the trunk of the tree, cart the debris, and grind the stump. I was assured that the original estimate would be modified because PSEG did a big part of the job. Well, it wasn't! LaMay did not like the way PSEG left the debris! They were hoping to sell part of our tree as a telephone pole and now they couldn't! They claimed they sent me a new estimate, which I never received. LaMay did come and competently removed the debris and cut the remainder of the tree trunk. BUT they wanted us to pay the original estimate even though 1/3 of the job was completed by PSEG. After arguing with La May repeatedly, we reluctantly agreed on a price. Rather than accept 2/3 of the original estimate, they wanted more. Will never do business with this company again.
