Finally had a chance to try Molly Tea after seeing so much hype on Instagram! It was a little busy when we got there but not too bad. They have garage parking nearby that was free for the first 2 hours just an fyi! There's not much seating in the shop so it's more of a to go place. There's 2 screens to order from or you can place an order via the QR code and then wait for your number to pop up on the screen or a text. I think one thing that could have been better is that when you order, there's a sign that displays your order number as either a drink they're working on or a drink that's ready. But when we saw our number flashing in the ready area, the drink wasn't ready yet. If they could provide some signs that mention this so people weren't confused that would be great. We were waiting in line for our drink but people kept on asking us to move since their drink was "ready" but so was ours according to the sign. Otherwise, I enjoyed our drinks! I got the Jasmine milk tea with oat milk & boba at 50% sugar and it was delicious. The Jasmine flavor def came through and I would go here again!

Jasmine milk tea with boba and oat milk was very good. The Jasmine definitely jumps out at you. First sip was soooo flavorful. Every sip after was good but not as good as that first sip. Service was fine - you order on a kiosk. It's super cute inside. This location is connected to a restaurant. They have a rewards club. I think they should offer an "extra sweet" option. I also think The cups are a bit small for the price.

This place had a lot of hype so I decided to finally go in when it wasn't so busy. Even though there was still a little bit of a line they worked really quickly. The inside is cute, but small and there is no seating outside. I would suggest ordering online and coming to pick it up. In terms of the tea itself, I was surprised at the lack of customization. I expected to be able to choose lactose free milk and the descriptions often talked about freshness so I expected fresh ingredients. It's seems to be a powder mixed with either juice or tea. The flavor was just ok, I think with the level of competition in the area I expected more. Some of the flavors were more unique for example I got the apple milk tea, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the combo. The tapioca bubbles were small and kind of disintegrate in your mouth, maybe thats just how they are, I wouldn't say it was a bad thing it was just different. If I was shopping at the Wegmans I would go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place.

So I've probably been here about 3x since they first opened...once the line died down ofc..lol. There was a line inside still but was moving pretty fast. This time I came for the matcha jasmine. I LOVE Jasmine tea, just love the smell and taste. You can order in the ready kiosk or at the counter. I think I liked all of them with fav being the snowy jasmine & pistachios coconut! Heard they have brown sugar boba available now, so I will definitely to be back!

Everyone was all hyped up when this opened so we had to try it! We went on the 2nd or 3rd day after it opened so there wasn't too bad of a line. They seem to be more efficient compared to other tea places during their soft/grand opening. The place is really small but no surprises there. I think most people just buy to go. I tried all of the popular drinks on the menu and have to say, they are a bit underwhelming. They taste very similar to hey tea which is down the street. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but nothing really stands out. I do love the packaging, really cute. Staff are nice, not overly friendly or anything.

There is a parking garage and some street parking. However, a decent amount of people like to idle in the back instead of parking, which can jam the traffic flow. They do have a restroom for customers, but there is not a lot of seating. They have a rewards program, so I recommend downloading the app and joining. I ended up ordering the Gardenia Oolong Milk Tea (sugar 7%, no ice) - medium was the only size option. Since I ordered no ice, my drink was served in a hot beverage cup. I liked their straw design. It took me a while to realize that I needed the straw to puncture the lid for my drink. They were busy during a weekend night. The gardenia floral taste/scent wasn't that strong, but I enjoyed the drink regardless. The caffeine was strong and led to me staying up way late. I had a taste of my friend's matcha drink and will definitely order that next time.

Molly Tea is the newest addition to Rockville offering a variety of premium iced and hot teas. It is located in the same area as the wegmans and has two hour free parking. You can order at the kiosk or at the front with the staff. The staff were very helpful in picking drinks and providing recommendations. I went with the Pistachio Jasmine Coconut drink with less ice and 70% sugar per the recommendation of the staff and it did not disappoint at all! The tea was very light and refreshing with a floral Jasmine flavor. The pistachio and coconut were a perfect combination, and I enjoyed the pistachio crumble on top. I really enjoyed my drink at Molly Tea and will definitely be back to try their other offerings.

Newly opened tea shop in Rockville. It is so popular that the waiting line snarled around the block. It was impossible to get in on weekends, so I went there first thing on Monday morning. The long line thinned, I finally got my drinks. There's no street parking, but there's garage parking available, free for 2 hours. The store looked small and really packed. Yet it wasn't too noisy even with many people waiting for their drinks. The app didn't link the store yet, I was told. So I ordered at the machine by the entrance. I couldn't specify the ice or sugar level, so I ended up getting my drinks with too much sugar and ice. Hopefully next time I visit, I can use the app to customize my drinks. I ordered Premium Jasmine Apple Milk Tea and Snowy Jasmine. Both are ok, not perfect. Too sweet and too much ice for me.

Great tea! So happy they are in the DMV. Lines were long but moved quickly.I recommend the Tongmu Lapsang tea for its bold flavor and aromatics when mixed with matcha or the Jasmine cloud. For safer transport in the cute insulated pink bags. The paper cups have the plastic cover over them. When you want to drink just tear off the plastic over the cup. The straws help release the flavor of the tea. I recommend using it unless you are really thirsty. Staff were very helpful. Easy 5 stars.

Came here on their second day open and the line was wrapped around to the entrance of Wegmans. Not a ton of seating but quite a simple and open design for their store front. As part of their promotions, they had a trolly cart and if you showed your receipt you could get a scented bag of jasmine tea and a Maryland crab molly tea magnetic pin. With the deal they had going on, you could get a bogo tea! I ordered the premium jasmine matcha and got the white champaca oolong milk tea. Both were delicious. I've never had champaca, but it tastes good gave nice subtle flavor to the oolong. The premium jasmine was definitely premium tea. It was so tasty and had such a nice floral flavor. The straws were interesting as they were like three coffee stirrer sizes wholes adhered together. It was sleek and thin. One of my friends ordered the pistachio jasmine coconut. Overall lovely teas and great time with friends, would come back and try a lot of their other flavors.

Clean and beautiful location. Few tables so easier to grab a quick drink (you can order by the touchscreen menus or online). They're quick to fill your drink orders. So since it's busy, order on your phone and you can easily monitor your drink order on the screens they have (they'll announce it once it's ready). I loved my matcha jasmine salted cheese drink. It's got a very nice subtle flavor. Will definitely come again to try more.

Am super excited for another tea place in the area! I've heard great things about Molly tea and the quality of the tea itself. I think their best quality is how fragrant their tea is and the strongest items on the menu are the ones with jasmine tea etc. we went on the opening week and the staff were really organized and efficient even with the amount of people. The storefront itself is small and very cutely decorated. It's more of a stop by and skedaddle type of place as opposed to a sit down cafe. All the items are not too sweet and they have the recommended sweetness automatically set to 70% so you can add more if you'd like. I think the 70% is perfect though. It's unlike other drink/boba shops since the tea is such a focus here, definitely not a place for you if you don't like tea and prefer the flavor more hidden.

Tables not cleaned and most uneven and wonky. Just one sad front of house employee working that I saw just getting through the orders that are self order. This place has zero ambiance. I went to the bathroom and toilet tissue was nearly out and there was no way to even get anyone's attention to attend to that. Employee just kept their head down working. Food- drinks were great. My favorite is the watermelon coconut jelly. We had the pork chop pineapple bun. This is still a good sandwich. Tastes like they used to make it. Juicy pork chop, sweet pineapple bun. The construction of the sandwich leaves much to be desired because all the wet veggie ingredients slide the entire sandwich. Once you start eating, you should not put this sandwich down or it will come apart. They should put the sandwich in a sleeve. We ordered the fried chicken bento box. This bento has changed a bit from their previous version. With the new paper packaging, there are less compartments for goodies. The fried chicken recipe is different as all the batter fell off the chicken and was just a mess. There was close to zero pickles greens. With the dish which I feel brings this kind of bento together. Conclusion is food is decent, ambiance sucks. Would order to go from here but any fried food from here will be a disaster after you get it home. Had high hopes as I loved the previous location's food. Now being able to "look behind the curtain" and see how everything is made, I kind of feel question the cleanliness of this place.

My wife ordered a taro milk tea with a cheese foam cap and I went with a Vietnamese iced coffee with an ube cream topping. Both of our drinks were well prepared and had a ton of flavor. My wife liked that you can choose what kind of tea (black, green, or Oolong) for the taro drink, and we both found the cheese foam to be perfectly creamy and savory. Similarly, my strong iced coffee was prepared according to my taste with 0% sugar, and the cream topping had a discernible ube flavor without excessive sweetness. We both opted for grass jelly mixed into our potables and appreciated the soft, slurpable texture which indicated freshness. Our drinks averaged around $8 per, which is pretty standard. The interior of Ding was clean and bright, certainly pleasant enough in which to pass some time. We are glad we tried this place and can easily foresee returning when in the area.
