He will usually matches (sometimes discounts) online prices or advertised prices - BUT you gotta be honest because he will call you out if you try to scam him. He is an honest guy who is very talented. After a couple of weeks where we tried to do it by ourselves, we finally called Mike. He personally took time to help and teach us how to work our purchases. Yes, purchases. Not much to do right now so we have found a new pastime. I highly recommend this local business. This place is legit. Mike and Brad are both stand up dudes, and as far as value goes this place is unparalleled. Mike will work with you to find the right gear for you and your sound and you'll be baffled by the price when it's all said and done. I walked in with the intention of renting some lighting equipment and Mike not only set me up solid for next to nothing, he helped me find the sound I've been looking for in under 20 minutes. I had 2 guitar amps that needed repair. One, the effects were on by default, the other had a buzz when it was on. The one with the effects, we chose to simply put a two-button switch with one for each channel. The other was a lot more difficult. Michael Mark's (the owner of Momar) took it completely apart after finding a broken solder joint on a capacitor. He resoldered both of them, and put it back together. Total labor, forty dollars. I want to give Mr. Michael Marx (owner of MoMar Music) a huge shout out, BKS has an RCF Line Array that was caught in the sudden Downpour during the Barbacoa and Big Red Festival on the 20th of May, Even though the line array is suppose to be water resistant, after contacting RCF, RCF stated that the line array was water resistant but not water proof however if water found its way into the mother board and inside components, the line array should be ok after the water dries up, however With such a heavy investment on the line, BKS didn't want to take any chances so after several recommendations from my contacts, I contacted Mr. Marx (MoMar Music) I messaged him through the facebook messenger not expecting a reply since it was after hours and to my surprise, Mr. Marx replied and offered recommendations and asked me to take them in the next day. The following day, I took in two tops just to have them looked at to decide if there was anything I should do to ensure the RCF's stayed in perfect working condition. and Mr. Marx immediately stopped what he was doing and immediately took them to his work shop and started to work on them. (Sorta felt like a Trauma patient entering the E.R. Where everyone stopped what they where doing to focus on the trauma that came in) lol... Mr. Marx had me stand there and had me see exactly what he was doing and explained step by step what he was doing. After Mr. Marx opened one of the tops, he showed me some of the moisture and water that still remained in the speaker. He then proceeded to do what he does (MoMarize it) and after about 20 mins, Mr. Marx, Recorded and time stamped each speaker just to keep it organized. When Mr. Marx finished with the first speaker, he played it for me and of course, it sounded just as it had before. Mr. Marx, not only dried the moister that remained, but he cleaned the mother boards, cleaned the all the contacts on the mother board and cleaned the the entire speaker in an out, it literally looked brand new. (they sorta are since they are less than a year old) however they took a beating during that storm and those that where there know exactly how bad it was, however after getting MoMarized, they looked and sounded brand new. The following day i took in the bottoms even though they where not beat up as bad as the tops because of the placement vs the tops. I did not want to take any chances, so I took those in, needless to say, when i picked them up, i was pleasantly surprised, not only did they look like new, but all the small nicks and scratches both on the Tops and on the bottoms had all retouched and refinished... I must say that I was very pleased with the work that MoMars Music had done. I honestly don't know anyone who was as passionate about taking care and fixing a customers piece of equipment, and not to mention the great customer care, Mr. Marx even had me put some of my speakers back together, which i enjoyed because i personally was afraid to tinker with my speakers because of the cost. It gave me more confidence with handling of my equipment. Mr. Marx had my speakers isolated away from the areas where his customers usually roam around and look at stuff and he told me he did that because he knows the my Line Array is a High End Line Array and didn't want to take the chance of anyone messing or touching them. Musicians, Sound guys, or anyone who has something to do with the Music industry... YOU NEED TO GO CHECK MoMars Music out...... this true for any repairs on any type of equipment, the purchase of equipment, or anything related to music or Dj industries...
