Jeff is hands down the best investment we made on our wedding day. Having the right music at our wedding was important to us, and we are so happy we entrusted Jeff with setting the perfect tone for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and (very) full night of dancing. We interviewed a number of 4.5/5-star rated DJs, and even among the very top DJs, Jeff easily stood out above the rest. I can't tell you how many DJs will tell you "all weddings are pretty much the same." If you ever hear that from a DJ, you need to run. Thankfully, Jeff is the complete opposite of that. He actually took the time to listen to our vision, not just for dancing, but also for our ceremony as well as our cocktail hour. One of my favorite things about Jeff is that he always clarifies when needed. He displays a quiet confidence that was much appreciated, and he doesn't pretend like he knows something when he doesn't. Jeff is as thorough as any vendor gets. We literally had ZERO surprises at our wedding from Jeff. (Not even one.) He did such a good job asking us questions up front -- from song choices, timing, various wedding scenarios that I would never have thought of, even down to the correct pronunciation of each member of our bridal party, which is really impressive given that most of our wedding party had foreign names. I love that Jeff has a "can do" attitude, and he is so easy to work with. He found some way to make just about everything work, and he was very upfront about things that couldn't be done or things that required additional charges. Again, there were NO surprises at our wedding (or after), and I really appreciate and respect that about Jeff. His online music portal was super easy to work with. We requested some obscure songs as well as cumbia music, and Jeff was able to find all of requested songs. The whole DJ process was super easy. We gave Jeff a short list of favorites along with a few "nice-to-haves", and he basically took it from there. From the amount of dancing that occurred at our wedding (it was pretty much a nonstop dance party), I can tell you for sure that Jeff knows how to keep your guests on the dance floor! In addition to music, we also hired Jeff for extra lighting -- uplighting in particular. We were pleasantly surprised by his solid selection of colors and settings, and his lighting costs were very reasonable. Last, but not least, my wife and I (unbeknownst to one another) had special "surprises" for each other. Poor Jeff had to work with us individually behind the scenes, and he pulled off both surprises flawlessly. (Thank you, Jeff!!) In closing, my wife and I wished that all of our vendors could be like Jeff. We had so much fun working with him, and on top of all of this, Jeff is a genuinely nice guy. The music was one of the most important things at our wedding. I was afraid I would approach DJs with my "list of demands" and would be turned away and called crazy! But Jeff was absolutely wonderful. Every request was simply met with, "We can do that." We had a blended destination wedding in San Antonio, where I grew up. Jeff is primarily based in Austin, but does NOT charge extra for coming to San Antonio, a HUGE bonus for us. He also provided romantic mood lighting for our very old venue, which really helped to set the mood. I wanted nothing but an elegant, incredibly classy event, but really wanted something fun as well. Jeff really responded to my every need. No strobe lights, no disco balls, no smoke machines. If you want it, Jeff can provide it, but he is class all the way...just what I was looking for in a DJ. He was wonderful about our music selection. We wanted some salsa (being from San Antonio, this was a must), some country (TEXAS!), a lot of New Orleans brass band/jazz (where we met), and just some downright jams, all of which Jeff could absolutely provide. Right before our entrance, all of the bridal party decided that we wanted to suddenly change our entrance song. We brought Jeff over, gave him our request of a "clean" version of "Bring 'em Out" by T.I. and within 30 seconds, he found the song, the change was made and the bridal party was getting down! It was wonderful. He was a dream come true in a wedding vendor. His answer was always "yes." Just what I was looking for, because wedding planning is the most stressful thing I have ever experienced and I have a really high-stress job in higher ed. My (soon to be) wife put me in charge of finding a DJ for our wedding. There might have been some confusion regarding when this was supposed to happen and I didn't start looking for a DJ until about 4 weeks before the wedding. We hired DJ Ryan for our wedding, and he did an awesome job! My fiance and I both have admittedly mediocre taste in music, so we really wanted to rely on the expertise of our DJ to get the party going. From the first time we met Ryan, we knew we would be in good hands. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and had a lot of great ideas about what music works well for a wedding. A couple of weeks before the wedding he checked in with us to clarify songs, timing, name pronunciations, etc. The online planning forms that Spacecraft provided were great, they captured a lot of the minute details that go into a big event. There were a few specific songs we wanted for our ceremony that weren't in their library, but DJ Ryan was able to download them for us easily. The day of the wedding Ryan showed up on time (early in fact!) to set up his indoor and outdoor equipment. He did a great job with volume control, speaker placement, microphone volume, and all the other nitty gritty things that matter in a DJ. He also did a great job reading the vibe of the crowd and playing appropriate music for the cocktail hour, dinner hour, and of course the dance music. Even my 80 year old grandmother was shaking her stuff on the dance floor! I was so impressed when my grandfather had an obscure song request late in the evening, and Ryan was able to get it and play it immediately. He covered all the genres and everyone heard something they liked, which made the event so much more fun. As a customer, I was very happy with the service I got from Spacecraft Entertainment. It's worth mentioning that DJ companies don't always allow you to book a specific DJ very far in advance - they often assign one as the date gets closer. When I explained to Spacecraft how important it was for us to know our DJ before the event (we wanted to be sure they were a good fit), they were more than willing to agree. I needed a full setup with turntables, mixer, monitor, laptop stand and table just in case. Jeff had multiple equipment options at great prices. His prices where competitive, and he provided setup and breakdown. He handled everything on site which allowed me to focus on my music and making sure my client was satisfied.
