I contacted them via e-mail to find out pricing, which was very competitive and once agreed upon, I was given a set date with a time window. (3pm-7pm) Miguel, my installer, arrived @ 6:15PM and was polite and courteous. He phoned prior twice and informed me he was running late and would arrive closer to the end of the appointment window. Once here, the mobile setup was quite awesome to see. Unfortunately, it seems the van needs a bit more power or room for the installer to operate but Miquel was able to mount tires on 2 sets of wheels and balance them in under 2 hours. He took time to do things right, and along the way made every attempt to avoid damaging any of the wheels. I think the entire process would have taken an hour or less in a traditional shop, but the fact they came to me and I didn't have to leave home was worth every penny. read more

I've received service from Momentum today for 4 tire replacement, install and balance, and tire recycling - all from the comfort of my home. The customized truck was very cool because it had everything for the technician to do this job. I didn't have to pay the outrageous prices you get from your car dealer; I didn't have to waste time by buying from an online tire store, wait 3 weeks for when they get it in stock, and then have to find my own installer. Ordered new tires for my van directly and had Momentum Tire and Wheel come and do the install. They arrived on time and the installer was very courteous. He explained the whole operation to me and completed the work in a short amount of time. I had one issue the next morning when I found one tire very low. I called them and they sent someone out immediately to fix the problem which was a valve stem. Again they were very courteous and apologetic. I would use them again. read more

They arrived reasonably on time, did a nice job mounting and balancing my Dunlop Signature HPs from TireRack and were finished in around 70 min. I've used Momentum three times now for new tires add/or repairs. The most recent trip was last minute without an appointment after I drove over a huge bolt coming home. I was in and out in about twenty minutes and the cost of the patch was so cheap. They're very honest in my experience too. DO NOT USE THIS CORRUPT COMPANY!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. My sole encounter with Momentum Tire and Wheel took place in May of this year when a delivery drive who was lost in NYC drove into the side of my vehicle that was not in motion. After the accident while we waited for police to arrive, the crackhead that was driving the motor vehicle continuously complained that she was late for a delivery and that this (car accidents) keep happening to her. Fast forward and after the cops not arriving for 3 hours, we went our separate ways and then Marisol Martinez-Andujar lied to their insurance company and arbitration committee. These people are liars, cheaters, immoral, and unethical. I can't imagine what other scams they are pulling on their customers behind closed doors. read more

Second time using Momentum. My mechanic told to try them out and I'm glad did. Saved money on tires and the service was outstanding.

Mobile tech installation was a breeze and mounting/balancing was fine. However, they did not honor their road hazard warranty 1.5 years later so buyer beware. Tire developed a bubble and they measured a hair under 8/10 left on them which is more than enough under standard road hazard contracts (usually 2 years and 3/32nd or some reasonable pro-ration). Could not produce a copy of their policy and unhelpful both in-store and on the phone. Would suggest buying tires directly from TireRack to get the free warranty and having Momentum install, rather than having them source for you (they have a wholesale account with TireRack but do not purchase wholesale road hazard contracts). read more

Very easy to schedule with, service was prompt and quick to install all 4 tires that were ordered from Tire Rack. TPMS sensors were also not damaged at all during the installation process. Super convenient to have installation completed at workplace or home. You do need to make sure there is sufficient space for their work vehicle to fit, considering how large it is. I am most disappointed with this service. After two attempts to correctly balance my wheels, I still experience vibration problems with the wheels. It appears that the weights kept falling off after a period of driving due to poor surface preparation prior to applying the stick on weights. This is unacceptable. read more

Scheduled to have them install 4 new tires from TireRack at my job site, called in the morning to make sure I was scheduled for 2pm time came and went and they never showed up, thankfully I work close by their shop went there to have the work done. Best service! Very courteous service and you get constant text reminders on your appointment (which is plus if you run around). The installer came 5 min early than the two hour range given. I went to this location to have my personal wheels and personal used tires mounted and balanced. When making an appointment, I found out that this location can mobile mounting and balancing but if you go to their store location, you save money on mounting and balancing so that's what I did. I met with Jeremy inside the location. The store is small and next to the meineke on bloomfield ave but the garage area where they have tires is large. Jeremy was very kind and easy to talk to. He delivered exceptional customer service. I brought my vehicle around to the side of the building next to the garage opening and him and his coworker, Aaron, took my wheels and tires from my vehicle and brought it inside the shop to mount and balance. The entire process took no more than 30 minutes to do all 4 wheels and tires. When all was finished they put the wheels and tires in the bags I had and placed them in my car for me. Jeremy even let me know if any of my wheels were bent but thankfully all of them were perfect. Aaron was very kind and also provided excellent customer service. If you're looking to have your wheels mounted and balanced by a professional shop with great service and very nice employees, this is the place to go. Incredible customer service. If you need new tires and/or wheels, you've got to give these guys a call. If you feel that buying tires (from those branded franchise stores - you know who they are) is on par with dealing with used car salesmen, getting a root canal from a crappy dentist or getting a colonoscopy (I've never bought a used car nor have I reached the age of the mandated colonoscopy - but I've heard both are not fun), then you DEFINITELY need to call these guys. The problem with those national chain is that they do tires and ... oil changes, and ... coolant flushes ... and brakes ... anddd they will always try and hit you up for the up sell. So ladies (ok, lets not stereotype: and certain incredibly gullible guys), if you are over being told you need to have your blinker fluid changed, just another reason to call these guys. They do tires and wheels. I stopped by their West Caldwell location today and couldn't have been more impressed. Free Wifi and I was offered ice cold bottled water. These guys go the extra mile ... literally. They will drive to your house or office and change your tires, all while you couch surf and mindlessly graze/binge watch or work on finishing up yet another excel spreadsheet for the boss man. These guys are to tires what zappos are to shoes or warby parker are to eye glasses. Taking a tired (see what I did there?!) business model and completely reinventing it. read more

I used Momentum a year or two ago to replace the tires on my car. I was pleased with the service and I even recommended them at the time to my friends and business associates. So when my wife's car needed new tires a few weeks ago I set up an appointment with them again. I wish I didn't. The tire installer, although a very nice guy, damaged my car. He tried to jack up a 6,000lb car using a five foot 1/2" aluminum rail mounted to the body of the car as a jack point and destroyed it and bent the body of the car. It was a stupid mistake, he should have known better. And this aluminum rails only purpose is to protect the gas tank. Fortunately, he didn't put the jack through the gas tank. Over the next week I left at least a dozen messages with various people at Momentum to speak with the manager to see how they were going to pay for the damage. It was obvious he was avoiding me. Out of the blue, the tire installer shows up at my business. Apparently Frank, the manager, sent him to confirm the damage which he did. I asked the installer now what? He said I'd have to speak to Frank. I decided to try a different approach and tried to get a hold of the owners by submitting a form page on their website. Frank called the next day. Unfortunately I wasn't sitting at my desk and missed the call so I immediately began leaving messages again. I left at least another 4-6 messages. That was a week ago. I still haven't heard back from him. This is unacceptable. Extremely poor service from a manager and the company. Now, a couple red flags from the tire installation. Their equipment looks extremely old and not maintained. I have to wonder if the calibration is ever checked on the wheel balance machine. They are NOT gentle with your wheels or center caps. I even experienced this when I had my car done a few years ago and mentioned it to the company. Be VERY concerned if they try to jack up half your car rather then one wheel at a time. Many newer cars don't have frames anymore to support that kind of weight. He used stick on wheel weights which is great but only cleaned a couple of the wheels prior to sticking them on. Now I'm concerned they will fall off the uncleaned wheels. All four air valve caps were loose and would have fallen off. I had to tighten them all. The installer started putting everything away without torquing the lug nuts. When I asked him about it he said "oh yeah, I forgot" then he asked ME what I wanted the torque wrench to be set at! I don't blame the installer for damaging my car. It was a mistake. Although he should have known a skinny aluminum rail attached to sheet metal isn't a sufficient jack point for a 6,000lb car. I do however blame management and the company as a whole for not fixing it immediately and causing me all this aggravation. I will not recommend Momentum anymore and will continue to voice my experience with them. read more
