They could've easily ripped me off for an oil change the other day when an unexpected oil warning sensor came on in my car and instead he explained it was a very common thing and it just needed a quart. After putting the oil in, which he didn't charge me for, the sensor almost immediately went off and car was back to normal. You don't get the type of people in the world to take the time to explain something and not beat you in the head for a few quick bucks, I really appreciate the honesty and help they provided me! As long as I've been living in Wayne. I've been coming to Wayne Tire for all of my mechanic needs. The staff at the front counter are always nice, Mike is the guy I usually deal with with since I usually go on Saturdays. They're very honest and are never pushy. I thought my car needed a wheel alignment and it was low air from a tire leak, they had the opportunity to rip me off and charge me for a wheel alignment that I didn't need, but instead were honest. They're prices for regular maintenance are very reasonable and I always get coupons in the mail for oil changes and regular maintenance. One time, I didn't have to coupon but they gave it to me anyway because I was a regular customer. They're very honest mechanics and they will always have my returned business. read more

I have never trusted a mechanic as must as I trust this place (not including my all time favorite brother who is also a mechanic :-) ) Mike, who works the service desk (he's not the only one but he is the one we usually always deal with), is one of the most honest and trustworthy people I know when it comes to mechanical work. He is also super friendly and knows exactly who we are and what car we have when I tell him who is calling. Mike won't suggest work to be done to your call unless it is needed. He has made recommendations of things we might need sooner than later to give us a heads up. But he says it's not required at the moment. When we need parts, he doesn't order us the most expensive ones out there. He tells us that so and so brand is just as good for your particular car but not as expensive. He has never tried to screw us over like many other places do. We bring our car here most often for oil changes. We at first would always bring the car in the morning and then walk home (we only live a couple blocks away) and Mike would call us when our car was ready. Now, we will drop it off the night before, put the keys in the drop box, and pick it up when ready. For those that choose to wait, there is a waiting area with a TV and magazines too. If we need the car ready by a certain time, Mike will make sure it's done on time. Otherwise, we tell him no rush. read more

This place is as good as it gets. I have been using Wayne tire and auto center for more than 10 years now. This is my only go to place when I need any type of work done in my vehicles. Charlie is very good to me and very honest with pricing. They look to help you. Mike works there As well and does a good job. They will call you before performing any work and get the best pricing possible. The mechanics are top notch. They troubleshoot your issues quickly and usually almost finish any project quicker than expected. Quick oil changes, tire repair, rotation, diagnostics! This is my choice when I want the work done correctly and at a reasonable price. Stop in and speak to Charlie or Mike. Going thru car wash my battery decided to die. Luckily they had a jump pack. Got it going and went up the road to Goodyear-Wayne tire. Walked in and spoke to one of the guys there. He looked up battery and checked to see if he had it in stock. Yes they had it. Was gonna leave truck and come back but he said give me 15 and I will have you ready to go. This place sucks for service, got two in for flat tire, they installed the spare and told me that they had to order a new tire and they mounted and balance it will call me to put it on the car. They never call me I had to reach and they mention its gonna take couple hours before they installed or I can take it do it myself. Lets say that I am not coming back to this shop anymore. read more

I have been a customer here for more than 10 years, and I have always appreciated their interest in working with me to keep repair costs down. On one occasion they prepared an extensive estimate for an older car I had, and laid out a range of options, not just a big, painful number. Recently I was in for a flat tire and they removed it from my car, and when they realized it was unfixable they put the doughnut on, and suggested that I visit a competitor for a replacement tire that matches the brand of the other three. No charge for their trouble. Lately I have been doing my scheduled maintenance here, as I find the experience more pleasant the treatment more personable than that of the dealership. Superb service, excellent and friendly staff, and quite hassle free. I recently bought brand new tires from this shop and no sooner than two months later I had a flat in one of them from a nail. I took it in the next day and they replaced the tire free of charge within an hour. I will be going back. read more

Decent Honest Business that does its best to diagnose a problem and give you a fair price. I heard about them from a member of the Wayne Lions Club who brought his car in and told me they did great work and do not over charge. He would not trust another mechanic the way he trust them. I can verify that in spades. Last year prior to selling my 14 year old car I noticed that it had a slight oil leak. I asked them to check it out and tell me what I should do. They inspected it, came back and told me that the leak was minor and not unusual for my car and its mileage. Also, that it really did not have to be done as long as I disclosed it. When I asked what I owed them, the man at the counter said "no charge". Wow. Any other place would have taken full advantage and would have hit me with a bill. My daughter's windshield wiper fluid system was not working in the recent severe weather. She brought her car into Wayne Tire & Auto. They checked out the problem and determined that the fluid froze. They warmed up the car and the fluid and everything worked fine again. She called to ask them how much she owed them so that she could write out a check to me since I was picking up her car. She was told "no charge". When I picked up her car I thanked the man at the counter. I told him how much I appreciated their honesty. His response was "It doesn't cost anything to be honest." That says it all. They deserve our business. read more

1/22/18 What happened on this date could've ended very bad even people getting hurt. Before I share my experience I want to let everyone knows that I'm not trying to stop people from coming here, if you feel comfortable and you like the way they work there is no reason why you wouldn't come here. So I came here to get new tires, the guy that gave me all the options I'm assuming the manager of the place was very kind. They put my tires on, and I was happy I got new tires. However I pulled off into Hamburg Tpke and right before the Preakness library which is almost right next to GoodYear I heard something loud in the back of my car, then immediately my back left tire comes off in the middle of the street, gladly I wasn't going fast and very few cars were around, someone got off his car and helped me get the tire onto the side. A police officer came and a mechanic from GoodYear came and put my tire back on and we went back to GoodYear to see the damage. They take the car back in to try to fix a piece of metal that came out. Of course now I'm doubting everything they've done to my car, I'm just glad this happened here and not in the highway where I might be going above 40mph and that other people including my self could've got hurt. So I was being very calm I wasn't getting angry at them, I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the gun they used to put my tire on wasn't properly working and this could've happened to anyone. So what made me put a ONE star review wasn't actually this, it was the way they acted after the incident. They put the metal part back in, checked the tires once again and got my car ready outside. They didnt say anything, I had to ask what had just happened, and why, they didn't have an answer, the last thing the manager say was "ok just let me know if you need anything else" as if nothing happened, I did not even get an apology, they didn't even say sorry once. Of course if there is anything that need to be done because of this is not going to be there and they are going to have to pay for it as the police officer said to me. I understand that many people would've acted differently, and actually complain and get mad at them right away no matter if there were other customers present, because this could've happened to me in the highway, but it didn't happened this way so I'm just keeping things as they occurred. This was a first time for me so I didn't know how to act on it or to do next, one thing I know is that I'm never going back to this place. Please comment what you think and what you would've done it would really help me as an experience if something like this happens again. read more

I agree with 3 out of the 4 reviews below (I have the feeling Al's wife might have been at a different place). I've been taking my cars here for over 5 years. As a woman, we all know how the stereotypical mechanic's treatment is (~~we have no clue what they are talking about because we are too busy getting our nails and hair done~~) - however, I am like Marisa Tomei's character in My Cousin Vinny. I pretty much know what I'm talking about when it comes to the mechanics of a car. As another reviewer stated, I thought I needed an alignment on a new (used) car I had purchased in 2012. Almost always dealing with Mike, he asked me why I thought I needed an alignment. I told him because there was a vibration when driving on the highway - he said I may just need a wheel balance, which was all it was (that, and the rims were bent, thank you Wayne Acura for NOT performing the 120 point inspection -how the he!! could they have missed rims so bent they caused a huge vibration - I may double think going to Wayne Acura for my next car!!) anyway - Mike and Charlie have always been wonderful and helpful and HONEST!!!! My husband and I have been going here for a few years now, and we will not go anywhere else while these guys are in charge! They have recommended service that may be needed in the future, but they don't do the 'scare tactic' ("OMG - your brakes are so bad, they will fail you if you drive out of the lot!!")- they'll let you know 'hey, next time you come in for regular maintenance, you will probably want to get new tires, etc...'. Great service. Didn't have an appointment but took me right away for an oil change and tire rotation. And they were very honest.

First off, I'm not one to write bad reviews ever. I generally give people the benefit of the doubt. But in this case I feel this needs to be written. We have been going to Wayne Tire for a while and have generally dealt with Mike, who I believe is a service tech. We had no issues with tire and oil change services and he was always very accommodating. When we were told we needed new brakes and rotors we trusted them and told them to go ahead. The day after this service was performed a loud knocking sound was coming from the brakes. We immediately called and brought the car back. They told us it was a clip that was the wrong size and they fixed it and sent us on our way. The problem was not fixed. So we brought the car back, a few more adjustments and still the problem persisted. I understand these things can happen. So again for third time we brought the car back and they told us they had installed the wrong brake pads and they needed to order them and it would take a week for them to get. One week later we could not attend our Saturday appointment and called on Tuesday to reschedule. The brake issue had become much worse and possibly dangerous. Charlie who I believe is the owner told my wife that they had sent the brake pads back and could not do the service and they are "Done with this car". Clearly this was unacceptable because the car was now seemingly dangerous to drive and the problem Wayne Tire had caused now needed to be fixed by someone else. We disputed our charges with the credit card company and will never go back to Wayne Tire. Charlie is a condescending crook who need to learn how to treat customers and do his job correctly. I hope this review deters anyone from going to this establishment. read more

Never will we go back to this store after manager said we scammed him. My step daughter bought four tires there last year on her own. When she returned from college I was checking her air and noticed one of the tires was a different brand. She decided to get her tires rotated before going back to school and mentioned it to the manager Michael. He said they would take care of it. Today he calls to let us know the Goodyear tire that did not match the others could not have possibly been put on by them since it is only available at Walmart. Since I would have had to pay for her to get a different tire I am pretty confident I would know if she got a new tire. None of us even knew Walmart sold tires and I have never been to a Walmart that had a tire installation department. His simple minded brain could not fathom that just perhaps since all the tires were manufactured by Good Year that just maybe it got mixed in the wrong batch. They did replace the tire at no charge but asked us not to come back because he thinks we scammed him. I guess I feel a little scammed in their incompetence in installing the wrong tire in the first place. read more
