What really surprised me was how satisfying everything tasted without feeling heavy or overly sweetened--and even better, it didn't spike my blood sugar the way most desserts do. You can tell there's intention behind the ingredients and how everything is made. I was visiting with the person behind the counter and I started to pick up real quick that this person had skin in the game and a passion for baking cakes, cupcakes, pies, and she added that she could make any dessert that a person could want. She told me that she will be making a lot of pies for Thanksgiving, pretty much any flavor that you could want. Custom cakes are the specialty. I wound up walking out with three different flavors of cookies. I just wanted to make sure that they were good if I was going to write about the place. They were!
