My quest to find edible food in Eschborn has been a hard and daunting task, where I even find my homemade pack lunches unable to live up to my low standards.
MoMos, it has to be said, is one of the best places to lunch, specialising in Korean (and Japanese) food. Located next to the Börse, it provides a place to lunch formally and informally. In summer, it has great outside seating with a spacious patio. It can get extremely busy during times of great weather, so I advise to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Momos has an affordable lunch time menu, my particular favourite being the bento box where you receive a nice array of sushi, sides of tempura or gyoza, a miso soup and some other little treats which change regularly.
On Fridays, there is an all you can eat buffet, which is very popular and a reservation is needed to stand a chance of getting a table typically. During the summer months, the buffet consists of an outside bbq and sides. During the winter, there is an array of dishes available for you to taste.
There are, however, a couple of downsides to Momos- the food service is slow if you order sushi, although this is because all the sushi is made by a little old lady who takes her time crafting each platter. The other downside is that they serve Fritz Cola which is some hipster cola from Hamburg which, in my opinion, is very poor. What's wrong with just serving Coca-Cola? Also, they served me my apfelschorle in a milk jar which was completely unnecessary.
Overall a good place to lunch and I highly recommend it. read more
