We love Moms. Almost every time we come to Midland we have Sunday breakfast. It's friendly, clean and the food is good. But today my tea was lukewarm, and when I told the waitress she went and got me more lukewarm tea. She asked if it was better but didn't wait for my answer. We went to mom's restaurant for dinner while visiting midland with family. Overall, I'd say it was positive experience. Service: The service was fair. Seated fairly quickly and drinks came shortly after. They were missing two sets of utensils when we sat down which was odd but fixed after the meals came. We were checked on every so often though water not refilled. Food: Garden salad - iceberg lettuce, 3 slices of cucumber, some red onion and 3 wedges of tomatoes and a sweet salad dressing. Likely plates in advance and kept in fridge as they literally came out 10 seconds after we finished ordering. Still fresh-ish though. 3/5. All main dishes came with 3 slices of cooked carrot, 1 broccoli piece and 1-2 cauliflower pieces. Also comes with your choice of baked potato, mashed potato or fries. Fries are from frozen. The mashed seems to be from fresh potatoes. Salmon - pretty small piece of salmon. However, it was cooked really well with a crispy exterior but still moist. The seasoning added to the flavor without overpowering. 5/5 for flavor but have to ding it to 4/5 due to the small portion. Prime rib - surprisingly thick but likely to make up for the fact that it's not super wide. Both sides were seared well but still remained a nice medium rare inside. Some parts were more tender than others but overall pretty good. 4/5. Pork Ribs (full): Comes with 2 full racks of ribs - is a ton of food. It wasn't exactly fall off the bone as some parts did require effort. The flavor was pretty good with a sweet and garlic sauce. 4/5. Price: On the pricier side but not too bad. Looking at around 25-40$ per dish. read more

We have been coming here for years with our dad. Went tonight at 4:40 mostly elderly of course maybe at most ten people when we got there ordered fish and chips hot hamburger sandwich with a salad and chicken strips. Waited 25 minutes for meal. The food was definitely not the same as our last time, may 2025. Service from male waiter was not what we were used to. Food prices s have increased considerably. Wont return and we have gone there for over 12 years. read more

Service: Great, Elsa our server really took care of a group of 15 with such skill. Food: Best in the area. We understand why it was packed. I had the Half Rack and it fell off the bone. Complaint: The menu is flawed. I wanted to order fish and chips. Everything on the luncheon menu SHOULD come with coleslaw + potatoes or soup if you ordered fish and chips but got soup they said it will replace the "chips" basically: come here, its good. but dont get the fish and chips, it's not worth it read more

We walked up and we're excited for a small, local diner type place. Clearly family owned and locals worked there. Checkmark. That's about where things started to go downhill. The meals were between $19-$25 each and were skimpy (my husbands sandwich had like 2 pieces of shaved prime rib on it) and my food was over cooked. Server was older and I felt bad she was waiting on us, I wanted her bring HER a drink. Anyway - gotta keep looking. Don't recommend. read more

Great breakfast spot in midland. Had eggs Benedict. I really liked the potatoes. They were simple and very tastey. The eggs Benedict was well cooked and quite tastey. If I had to nit pick, I'd say the hollandaise was quite bland. Coming from America the ham wasn't what I thought it would be, think Canadian bacon ham. It was a little less smokey flavored and more salty than normal. Regardless the eggs were cooked perfectly and the coffee was great. Note there is no grape jelly. read more

Moms is a great place to come for a homemade breakfast or dinner. They serve all day breakfast! Great fast and friendly, and the restaurant always has a great atmosphere. I wouldn't try to come on a Sunday though as you will be waiting, they are super busy for breakfast on Sunday's! It must be a favourite place for a lot of locals and tourists because there always seems to be people here! read more

Stopped here for lunch. Reasonably priced, decent homestyle food, nice fresh salad bar, pleasent and efficient service. Would have normally rated 4 stars, but one of our party ordered the prime rib French dip sandwich but it came with plain old roast beef, not prime rib. Very disappointing. read more

Inviting, immaculate, parking lot, near Rte 12. We went for breakfast and both had the eggs Benedict. Very filling! Thick slices of back bacon, crisp English muffins, rich sauce (Knorr, we were told). Tasty potatoes and super sweet fresh fruit cup. We went here for a family breakfast and had the eggs Florentine, a cheese and mushroom omelette, and a waffle. The service was fast and attentive (old-fashioned diner style) with frequent coffee refills, but the food was mediocre at best. The home fries were incredibly greasy, worse than the ones you get in the frozen food section of your local supermarket. The omelette was OK, though made with fairly flavourless cheese. The waffle was rather dry. Overall, the food was unexciting. A decent option in Midland. read more

i had steak dinner the other day, i tell ya i wish i stayed home and my husband make my steak anyways steak wasn't great the salad was horrible they had a buffett salad bar i just wish they had more choices oh but the potatoes where good and veggies. for the price i paid i could have gone to the " THE LIBRARY RESTAURANT" and had the same meal and enjoyed my steak. They had the oddies playing which is fine i did enjoy that but i think next time i will go somewhere else cause i do enjoy my steak dinner. read more

Hi. Went to mom's for a wedding dinner waited for ever to get the food and had made reservations for 15 did not have it set up for 15 people had to sit a prt from the rest of the group. Good food but really expensive! Don't think I would ever be back!!! read more

We stopped in for lunch one day on a camping trip in Awenda. We arrived shortly after the lunch rush and the restaurant was empty except for one other table. We ordered 2 kids meals of chicken nuggets and pasta and my husband and myself both had the prime rib sandwiches on ciabatta bread with fries. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The dip that came with it tasted homemade and was the perfect balance of savoury and salty. The only critique that I have is the French fries. They were not very crispy and were a bit oily. My suggestion to Mom's would be to offer fresh cut fries like most other restaurants. The service was fantastic and friendly. Overall I highly recommend this place for a delicious and reasonably priced meal. We will definitely be returning. Well done Mom's. Can't wait to try your breakfast. read more

I went for fish and chips and it was pretty good. The salad could have been better, it was small, and it was just a chunk iceberg and a tomato I think. I'd definitely return, but I would get something besides the garden salad. I'd love to check it out for breakfast as I have heard great things! read more

It tastes nothing like what your mom makes - everything is bland with no taste , my daughter and I both had sandwiches but the toast was soggy our fries were cold and we had to ask for a refill on the coffee which tasted like it was sitting around for a while - the service was lousy our waitress barely spoke English - it is pretty bad when the gravy tastes like it came out of a can and the roast beef on a sandwich tastes like it came from the deli but a package - I don't know who runs the place but they need to get their act together because that isn't home made!!!!! read more

My first visit to Canada (midland, ON) and it was suggested I give MOM's a shot. It was great. The folks working there were very friendly. I had the chicken Parmesan and salad bar. The salad bar could have had more selection, but what they did have was great. The chicken Parmesan was delicious. I will certainly be coming back next time I travel to this area. :) read more
