I also got a nice pair of green khaki shorts I can wear hiking or as every day casual digs. The sweater is so beautiful and warm with high quality wool that doesn't itch. I think it's my new favorite item in my wardrobe. The lady working there was very friendly and there to help if needed.

In our chatting we discovered that the owner is a lovely woman who is married to a fellow Chicagoan and owner of the store next door to this one. We couldn't resist stopping into his store for a chat. He was equally lovely and we had a great time with him. I immediately went back to the boutique to request a refund, only to be told that they don't offer refunds--just exchanges. I did look around and there was nothing else that I really wanted. There were no visible signs or notices anywhere in the store indicating their no-refund policy, so I asked if they could make an exception since I was from out of town. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee called the business owner while I was standing there and proceeded to discuss me in front of my face, saying things like, "Why didn't she try them on in the store?" First of all, I've never heard of trying on earrings before purchasing--not only is this unsanitary, but it's also incredibly unhygienic and unreasonable. The entire experience was beyond disappointing. The staff's attitude was rude and unprofessional. I would strongly advise thinking twice before shopping here!!

They told me that their store policy is no returns if the shoe was worn outside. They are brand new shoes and they refused an even exchange for another pair. As you can see on the receipt, it clearly states 14-day return policy. Needless to say, I will never buy from this place again. I've never visited a shoe store with a 1-day no-return policy. I will be shopping in Carbondale's Independence Run and Hike store from now on. They have a reasonable return policy. I should have gone there in the first place. Lesson learned.
