They told me that their store policy is no returns if the shoe was worn outside. They are brand new shoes and they refused an even exchange for another pair. As you can see on the receipt, it clearly states 14-day return policy. Needless to say, I will never buy from this place again. I've never visited a shoe store with a 1-day no-return policy. I will be shopping in Carbondale's Independence Run and Hike store from now on. They have a reasonable return policy. I should have gone there in the first place. Lesson learned.

There were no visible signs or notices anywhere in the store indicating their no-refund policy, so I asked if they could make an exception since I was from out of town. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee called the business owner while I was standing there and proceeded to discuss me in front of my face, saying things like, "Why didn't she try them on in the store?" First of all, I've never heard of trying on earrings before purchasing--not only is this unsanitary, but it's also incredibly unhygienic and unreasonable. The entire experience was beyond disappointing. The staff's attitude was rude and unprofessional. I would strongly advise thinking twice before shopping here!!

I always feel weird when shops like this take advantage of that heritage and capitalize on a culture that they are not a part of. I could be wrong-maybe it's owned by indigenous people, but the woman behind the counter certainly did not appear to be. That aside, this is a very eclectic place with a wide variety of souvenirs, gifts and goodies that may appeal to many people.
