She viewed our past bills and came up with a couple systems that would work for us. Her presentation was very informative and really explained the system as well as system expectations. We did talk with other solar companies but came back to MB Solar. Patty really put in effort to get us the system that would do the job for us. We were also provided references and we talked to a few. They really eased our mind as they were so helpful and willing to tell us their experience and expressed so much satisfaction with their system. We have only had our system a few weeks so we are still learning but we are impressed. The guys that installed our system did a great job and our system seems to be doing a great job for us as well. We are glad we opted to get 2 franklin batteries in the event of an outage which thankfully is rare where we live and for use during late evening and overnight hours. Of course we do not have our first bill using solar the whole month but it looks like solar and the franklin batteries will make a big difference in our usage and especially peak charges. The system gives us a little more peace on those really cold (and in the coming summer really hot) days where one hour of high peak usage really makes a big impact on your bill. If you are considering solar talking with Patty at Myrtle Beach Solar is a great place to start.

While the proposal from Myrtle Beach Solar did include top-of-the-line technology (which is what I want), the price point was $1000 per panel more than other companies. I am usually willing to pay more for quality material and service and workmanship, but this was egregious. They claimed that was due to building in the costs of financing the project... but the *cash price* of 18 panels was *115% higher* than the *exact same panels* from two competitors. Salesman Scott has been professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time and preferences as a customer. However, somebody in the background of my last call from him was pushy, dismissive, and honestly outright wrong about some things. (No, the IRS doesn't let you claim a new roof as part of the solar purchase price: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/residential-clean-energy-credit#expenses -- don't let these folks sell you a new roof, too!) Do your legwork. Solar is the way of the future, but I didn't feel respected here and neither did my wallet.

If you want a company that will happily take your money, do a shoddy job, and then vanish when…read morethings go wrong, Brazen Roofing is the one for you. The name fits because it takes a brazen level of audacity to treat customers this poorly. From the start, Chris and Austin were quick to take our money but not so quick to completely fix our roof or even communicate like professionals. The very same day they "repaired" it, it rained, and our roof leaked again. They returned, claimed to have fixed it again, and yet more leaking. We spent three months following up with them, being fed constant excuses and empty promises about "sending someone to check it out." No one ever came back. The lack of accountability was staggering. To make matters worse, they made a demeaning, misogynistic comment suggesting my husband was only contacting them because his wife was "on his case." News flash: regardless of gender, we want to live in a home that doesn't leak every time it rains. They were also made aware that I am pregnant and that the recent leak is directly over our first baby's nursery, with my due date approaching this November. They clearly did not care, no urgency, no compassion, no follow through. To add insult to injury, they've completely contradicted themselves. When they first came out, Chris and Austin said our roof was in good shape. Now, three months later, they're claiming it needs to be replaced. So which is it? Be upfront. They were supposed to arrive between 9AM and 11AM on 10/21/2025. Unsurprisingly, no one showed up, no calls, no updates and no accountability. For reference, I used to work at a local roofing company in GA and I understand that repairs can be challenging but they are not impossible. The issue is that Brazen Roofing handled this so poorly, left us in a terrible position, and showed zero accountability. This is inexcusable and makes me question if this is how they plan to operate with every customer going forward. So save yourself the stress and money. Brazen Roofing lives up to its name: brazenly careless, brazenly dishonest, and brazenly unprofessional. If you're looking for a company that takes your money and leaves you with a roof that leaks and a headache that won't go away, look no further. We are owed a full refund for the poor quality work, broken promises, and stress caused by this company.

The entire process was very straight forward no hidden surprises and were extremely efficient getting the job done once things got going. Even though I had done A LOT of research on both the technology and several companies they took time to thoroughly explain the whole process from installation to working with utilities company, which can be a real chore depending on who your power company is, they handled everything. We got a 6.4k system that has been putting out around 750 kw a month since installation in June, thanks to several cloudy days, but this is right on target for the production point I was looking for. A couple things to keep in mind is the North Carolina killed the state solar incentive so there is no longer a state tax credit for instalation costs, but the 30% federal tax credit is still there for a limited time, it helps take the bit out of the upfront cost and there are several options to help reduce the out of pocket costs. Also Cape fear solar offers several options for rebates, one of which is for providing testimonials on thier site, others include posting lawn signs and have a ribbon cutting ceremony. I have not done the testimonial on their site yet so as of writing this have not received any money for posting a review for them, but something to keep in mind when reading customer testimonials. As I mentioned in the beginning compared to other contractors that I have dealt with so far in the area Cape Fear Solar has been the best to deal with. If solar is something you are thinking about it is at least worth it to have a free on site evaluation done, they were very quick to point out ways to save money doing the install without making any shady cuts, just a few extra panels and batteries that for our situation didn't make sense in the long run. Do your own due diligence, but in the end if you are in the Carolinas definitely consider these guys, even though they are based in Wilmington gton their crews travel all over to handle a very large service area and they do it quickly and professionally.

I had a works solar system that consistently produced 6.3KW peak power, but needed to set up zero export to comply with my insurance. Cape fear sold me a dual battery (EnPhase 5p) with special EnPhase controllers over a year and a half ago and it still doesn't work. We get maybe 3 kw peak production and it's very uneven and unpredictable. One of the two batteries stopped working 6 weeks ago and nobody has even looked at it yet. The salesperson and install teams were very nice, but the support team has said the problem is with the manufacturer and has taken the '10 foot pole approach' they are going nothing to progress the resolution, things keep getting worse So buyer beware on all the talk about service and warranty, I'm not seeing it. My big mistake was paying (in good faith) before everything worked correctly

We used Angi's to find a contractor and unfortunately for us All About Energy was the only option presented to us. At first, All About Energy was great. The receptionist or scheduler was so nice and friendly and we were contacted quickly to set up a visit from one of their inspectors to come out and give us a quote. That's about where the positives end. On the day they were scheduled to come out I get a call from the inspector letting me know that I had to be bumped until later in the day. I had an appointment at 1 so he said he'd be by at 2. I agreed. He doesn't get here until 2:20. When he arrives I lead him up to the attic space where he notices he needs a ladder. He asks if I had one because he didn't want to go out to his car to get his. So I grab him a ladder and he does the inspection. After coming down he is repeatedly telling me that this is a small job and they don't typically do these jobs but he's do us a favor by doing it this time. We tentatively agree on the time and date that the work is going to happen and he informs me that he's get the quote out to me that night. That night I never got the quote so the next day I text him. He says that he sent it and that it must be in my spam. It wasn't. An hour later I call him and he is insistent that he sent the he quote. I send over my email address again and that's when he notices he had the wrong email address. No big deal. He sends me the quote and I tell him at that time that we were in the process of getting a second quote from a mother company that k had found that day and I'd be in touch once we made a decision. A week later the other company comes by to give us their quote. An hour after they leave All About Energy arrives to do the work. We never got a confirmed date or time of when the work was going to be done. We never paid a deposit or signed a contract. The driver was super nice and apologetic though and left without any issues. I get a phone call from the inspector just a few minutes later aggravated that I had turned away the driver. He said we had agreed to the work. When I told him no one sent me a confirmation of date and time he reached out to the home office and that's when they found out home office had my wrong email address. The inspector was very rude the entire time and told him we were going in another direction. I called All About Energy's home office and spoke with the receptionist again (again super nice!) and told her how unprofessional this inspector was. I informed her of why we weren't going with their company and she said she understood and we got off the phone politely and professionally. Enter Chris, the owner of All About Energy. He calls me up within minutes of speaking with the receptionist and at first Chris is nice and apologetic for what we have had to deal with. He offered to come back out to our home and redo the quote since our last quote was missing information. I agreed and he came out that afternoon. The first part of the inspection was totally fine. He explained to us some things more thoroughly and took his time answering questions. Then towards the end he asked my husband to test our thermostats in our house and to send him the information and Chris said that he would follow up with advice as to what we should do about that. Then at the very end Chris started getting political. And as he was leaving he told us that he was firing the guy who came to our house as well as one or two more guys who were just as bad as him. This seemed pretty unprofessional to let potential clients know that you have several employees who are about to lose their jobs. That night my husband sent Chris an email agreeing to the work and answering the questions about the thermostat Chris had asked about. My husband gave Chris a date of today to have the work done and asked that Chris let us know when they were expecting to come out to do the work. Chris never responded to that email. So fast forward to today and we still don't have a confirmed date or time for the installation so I call the main office and I'm told it was sometime today. When I ask when I'm not given any time and am told that they sent me an email about, which again I never got. I told them I do not want to work done due to the unprofessional service we had recieved up to that point and asked to receive no further contact. 3 minutes later Chris texts me going off on me about us agreeing to the work. When I called he immediately cuts me off before I can get a word in saying that he's not going to deal with a customer yelling at him and he was going to do the work for free but not anymore and that he hopes I enjoy paying more for the same service he was going to offer us. I was floored at this response by the "owner" of the company. He continued texting me after I hung up on him telling me to stop c
