Everything I contacted them about, they just dismissed. Our review was not the only one to state that their listing was misleading. They state it's beachfront but it's not. You have to walk across the street and once you get to the beach there is no place to sit , there's too many logs on the beach and the two chairs they do have out there actually propped up on the logs so there's no safe way to crawl up there unless you're Spiderman. The house we stayed at on Whidbey Island was dirty. We felt it was important to share that with them because if they're paying a cleaning service and assuming it was clean, it was not and I think it was important to let them know that. The main place to sit in the house is on the couch in front of the TV and it was so dirty that they had tried to cover it with a big blue blanket. It wasn't a sofa cover that could've covered the sofa it was a blanket that kept falling off. It just didn't seem very professional for a rental house. And for what they charge daily they should provide a nice clean couch or perhaps cover the couch with a fitting couch cover that's not going to fall off like a blanket every time you sit down on it. They did say that the previous tenant had messed up the couch, but you think they would have replaced it before renting it again or lowered the price of the rental and showed a picture of the couch so you know what you were going to have to sit on while staying there. They didn't apologize for this, they didn't change their listing or their photos for true representation of this property. We did appreciate that it was dog friendly, and that the kitchen and laundry facilities worked. The neighborhood was nice for the most part with beautiful flowers everywhere and bunnies. One of the neighbors was really rude to us but we tried to make the best of our stay. The most breathtaking view is not from their house nor from the beach but when you pull into the neighborhood onto the street at the top of the hill. It is gorgeous. The pet fee they charge is $65. And we paid that. We left the house in the same condition we arrived. Now they're trying to charge us another $65 pet fee a month later because we left a honest review of our experience.

I love summer in the north west with its long nights (doesn't even get dark til about 10 30 pm), beautiful sunsets and gorgeous summer weather. The Sunset Cottage makes it even better! It's right on the water overlooking Puget Sounds Useless Bay. In low tide you can even go clam digging! It's a private beach so you can build a bonfire with drift wood and enjoy the beach even at night when it can get chilly. The cottage itself is beautiful. It has one main bedroom and a smaller kids room as well as a fold out couch in the living room. The bed is super comfy with soft, high thread count sheets. There's extra Blankets and pillows in the closet if you want them. You don't need to bring anything except your clothes (bring a coat) and some food if you want to cook. The little kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and plates and utensils. It's also really close to Langley, a quaint artist town with a cute movie theater and lots of glass blowers and restaurants and bakeries. I recommend checking it out when when you're there. About a 15 minute drive. Overall my experience was very pleasant and I can't wait to go back. 2 thumbs up from me.

Everything from start to finish with this place was just absolutely magical. The owners were in constant communication with us - email at first and then via text to answer any questions we could have possibly had. They were prompt, courteous, and worked with us to make sure that our reservation was perfect. We stayed in the cottage. Let me tell you, it was a miniature paradise for the two of us. The Cottage: The cottage is extremely cozy. There are large windows in the main area offering spectacular views of the property and the island. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've found myself in in a very long time. There is a fireplace heater in the living room, a provided space heater for the bedroom, and a very efficient wall heater for the bathroom. Our whole stay was warm and cozy. Beyond that, the kitchen is fully equipped, there's a washer/dryer in unit, a tub, shower, and plenty of extra bedding/blankets/towels/etc. The small things: Awaiting us upon our arrival was a sign welcoming us with our names on it as well as champagne glasses and sparkling cider (it was new years). Additionally there was some granola and 2 gallons of fresh water provided just in case you're not comfortable drinking/using the double filtered well water. The owners also gave us their number should we need anything extra (including additional water/etc.). They were even kind enough to leave us some handpicked flowers from Pike Place during our stay. The Island/Property: WOW! The property itself sprawls behind and in front of the cottage offering ample opportunity to explore. Beyond that, it's only a nice 30 minute walk to Maxwelton Beach which offers spectacular views. There's still a ton more to do on the island that we hope to get to next trip. However, rather than accepting responsibility, Joy claimed that I brought the ants into her home. Additionally the smoke detector was out of batteries and went off all night. When she came to the airbnb after my complains, she offered to give us traps for the ants or vinegar to resolve the issue. She also advised that the pipes were old and would likely be a problem during our stay. It really is a disgusting property. I would not trust staying at any of her properties.

I wanted to set up a romantic weekend away for my brother and his new fiancé. I wrote Joy about this idea to see if she'd work with me. Not only was Joy on board, she made the weekend even better than I'd ever hoped it would be for them. Joy was fantastic to work with in this scheme and provided the most charming lodgings for my brother & soon-to-be sister-in-law. - long wait,stay in right lane -…read more Came here around 9:50 am on a Sunday and stayed in the ferry waiting line at the right lane. Got in the waiting-to-board area around 10:45 am and boarded the 11 am ferry. The decision to skip Langley is right since many shops weren't open at this time and the ferry wait will only get worse when time progresses. It costs $13.30 for our car with two passengers, but I'm not sure if the number of passengers matter here or not for the price. My guess is that they charge per car. The ferry ride from Clinton to Mukilteo only takes about 20 min, and there was a broadcast to make everyone return to their car at 11:14 am. There is a cafeteria on board but it's tiny. They do have warm options like pretzels with cheese dip or clam chowder. The bathrooms on board have like 15 toilets. Pro tip: the ferry on the hour (or 5 min after) fits 144 cars whereas the other one fits 90 cars. It might help with estimating whether you can make a certain ferry or not lol.

There's a total of 6 zip lines. They start at shorter and easier and increase in difficulty. I wouldn't say it's a very extreme zip line, there were plenty of young children doing it as well. Fun fact: the longest zip line is slightly longer than the Space Needle in length! There were about 8 people on the tour with my husband and I (not including guides). I think the only con is having to wait for everyone at every canopy which is understandable for a safety point of view but can take some time and I'm a bit impatient. But you're quite high up so I took the time to enjoy the views, peace and quiet of being in the forest! Also, a good opportunity to strike up some conversation with everyone else. The staff helped us get into our gear, get in and out of every zip line and gave us a velocity push when we wanted extra speed very kindly. Halfway through the tour, you even get freshly made lavender lemonade which was delicious. I would try to book this in advance if you're trying to go on a weekend. I went on a Friday afternoon and was lucky enough to book same day. All in all, if you're looking for a fun day trip activity nearby Seattle - this was an hour and a half drive and just a lovely day! To salvage our vacation we were lucky to find a company that came to our rescue. NW Adventures and could rent us a motorhome replacement last minute. They were quick to respond and Julie was a model of proficiency to help us on our way. We rented a 24FT Four Winds. It had everything we needed and a great layout. The entire staff was great, and no trick gotcha hidden fees in that fine print you don't catch. During our trip Julie was readily available for any questions we had while in the far north. While all components worked, this motorhome was built during Covid and it was clear quality and workmanship had taken a hit. Regardless, that's not anything to do with NW Adventures and they have quite a variety of equipment to choose from. I would rent from them again in an instant.
