Terrific way to spend an afternoon. As zip lines go it's not extreme by any measure ... I'd highly recommend this experience for first-timers. Their course is very well laid out, the infrastructure is top notch (safe), and the guides are awesome. Had a blast! What an amazing day! We throughly enjoyed our zip line experience with Andrew and Elijah as our guides. The group was small so there wasn't a lot of standing around. The guides were helpful, informative and efficient. The forest scenery was absolutely gorgeous with a light drizzle of rain. I have done several zip line tours and this one definitely had safety locked down. It required no athletic ability so it was easy for someone in their sixties and a child who barely weighed enough to be included. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Absolutely amazing experience!! The staff were 10/10 every single moment. Full of jokes, positive energy and awesome at teaching us about zip lining safely and helping us have a fun time out there. Paddy and Josh were our guides and we loved them. There's a total of 6 zip lines. They start at shorter and easier and increase in difficulty. I wouldn't say it's a very extreme zip line, there were plenty of young children doing it as well. Fun fact: the longest zip line is slightly longer than the Space Needle in length! There were about 8 people on the tour with my husband and I (not including guides). I think the only con is having to wait for everyone at every canopy which is understandable for a safety point of view but can take some time and I'm a bit impatient. But you're quite high up so I took the time to enjoy the views, peace and quiet of being in the forest! Also, a good opportunity to strike up some conversation with everyone else. The staff helped us get into our gear, get in and out of every zip line and gave us a velocity push when we wanted extra speed very kindly. Halfway through the tour, you even get freshly made lavender lemonade which was delicious. I would try to book this in advance if you're trying to go on a weekend. I went on a Friday afternoon and was lucky enough to book same day. All in all, if you're looking for a fun day trip activity nearby Seattle - this was an hour and a half drive and just a lovely day! So. Much. Fun! Zip lining has been on the bucket list for a while. A recent trip to Camano Island proved to be the opportunity to knock that out. Canopy Tours was great - safe and fun at the same time. I'd definitely recommend making reservations in advance. Our session had been sold out for a while and we tried to add a person to our group but no luck. Our guides Chris and Josh were knowledgeable and kept everything on gliding along smoothly. Sorry 'bout the bad pun. . You get the gist. Safety was a strong emphasis and the gear looked more than adequate for the task although there's a weight limit for riders that I believe is 300lbs. I was so impressed with the gear that I'm posting a crotch shot which I can guarantee you would not be happening in any other context. :D There are some bonus features that I won't divulge so as not to spoil the fun but they were very enjoyable too. One quick comment - We paid for the pictures package for both of us, which is a go-pro attached to your helmet, this does get heavy by the end of the tour. Also, if it is a new person zipping, most of their view will be of their hands unless they look around while ziplining. In hindsight I would have only had one of us do the camera. We did take a lot of pictures and the go-pro camera movie they made for us was an interesting introduction to our photos. Just take lots of phone pics and you will end up with a great picture show, the environment is so beautiful you cannot take a bad shot. Would have been great to get the group shot taken by the guides before we started. Last comment, the kids were brave and had a blast, but I think the grownups had more fun. Ok really the last comment - TIP THE GUIDES - Out of the ten people only my wife and I tipped. These people take your safety seriously and they are soooo patient. Cudo's to them. read more

This ziplining experience will never be forgotten because it was Elizabeth's first time ever ziplining and something like that is remembered and celebrated forever. I've done a canopy tour before so this experience was more fun and exciting than scary for me. Canopy Tours NW was a type of experience we have never experienced when it comes to zip lines. The zip lining itself is similar to how it usually is but the journey was what was very different. The thing is after every 2 times we zipped we walk to zip more. There is also a snack that is complimentary along the way. When we came they had lavender tea and s'mores. Roasting s'mores on a cold day was such a treat. Eve was not able to join us because she was under 65 pounds so my husband stayed with Eve. What makes canopy tours unique is that your not just ziplining anywhere but here you go platform to platform, from tree to tree. read more

6 zip lines and 2 amazing guides! Patrick "Patty" & Noah were full of humor and made this adventure even better! We learned about the area and different kinds of plants on the way to the zip lines. There is a selfie booth at one the bottom of one of the lines as well as water and their homemade lavender lemonade. A couple of the zip lines have a camera set up to take pictures so you can purchase pictures of yourself and your group after you are done. I recently attended Canopy Tours NW with a work group. Overall we had a fantastic time! The two guides we had were knowledgeable and funny. They did a great job at easing any tension or fear any of us had. They handled everything from fitting us into our harnesses to getting us on each line quickly and braking safely at the end. The tour lasted about three hours for the 8 of us to do six lines and a bridge. We took a break for tea and water (if you get a chance to try the Douglas fir tip tea, do it!). Overall, all 8 of us would thoroughly recommend this experience, even though it was a soggy Washington day! Tip: wear dark-colored outdoor clothes and shoes as it can get muddy if it's rained. Bring sunglasses because whipping through the trees can make some high winds uncomfortable. read more

My brother came for a visit to Seattle so three of us went here. It was a fun and the two guys who took us through the course were both great. One thing that was less than ideal was you go up in a group of 10, so have to wait for everyone to go before you can go to the next line. Apparently at some other places (MX in particular) there are workers at each line and you can go at your own pace which would have saved a lot of time. Also, when you finish a line, they have you land on a very small wooden step that is always right on the edge of the platform (which is usually a small deck built around a tree that is very high up. This isn't easy to land on even though the guide is pulling you. You sort of struggle for a bit until you regain balance and grab a hold of something so you don't go flying back. Its especially hard if you don't have good core strength or are bigger. If they had more space for you to regain your balance and stand up it would have been much better. Overall it was fun if you've never done it before. read more

The 1st time we came was to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday and the this time when we arrived it was to celebrate my nephews 14th birthday. For $100 the tour was just OK. If you haven't done zip lining before then it might worth trying once, but I don't recommend this place for any one that has tried before. The tour itself takes 2.5 hours, plus you need to arrive half hour earlier. And it takes 1 hour to drive from Seattle or Bellevue. So I had to spend 5+ hours for a visit here. Basically there're 6 zip lines, one log bridge, and one rapple. It took 2.5 hours because we went as a group of 10 people, and between zips we had to wait for the whole group to finish before moving on. It takes 10~30 seconds to zip on a line then followed by a 10-minute waiting. Basically here's a break down of the 2.5 hours: 20 minutes for listening to instruction and putting the gears on 5 minutes on the shuttle 15 minutes trail walking 2-3 minutes actually riding on the zip line 80+ minutes waiting From their point of view it's more economic to put more people into one group, but the waiting isn't fun at all. read more

My friend and I visited on the 15th and had an amazing time! I had been ziplining in HI before, and it was my friend's first time. There were 6 runs, all fairly short until the last 2. The 5th being the longest, though the 6th is the tallest (I hope I'm remembering that correctly). The entire tour was about 2 hours. Both of our guides were extremely friendly, funny and helpful! I apologize that I can't remember both names, one was Dave. I really appreciated Dave since my friend was a bit nervous before the tour, since this is out of her comfort bubble. Dave made sure to talk her through everything and adjust her experience for the first few runs. By run 3, she was zipping down with no hesitation! They aren't pushy about the extras (photos, go pro, gear). The entire experience was extremely easy and organized. The parking was a bit iffy, but otherwise no complaints! read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday and being a first time zipper, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. Well, I was blown away at how fun it was on top of this company being well-run, safety conscious, and clean. I know clean sounds weird, but they make sure the community helmets and gloves are cleaned prior to the next person wearing them. Very thoughtful of them. Our guides, James and Taylor, were awesome and truly enhanced the experience. Their energy was steady throughout the adventure, and they made sure everyone was having a great time. I went here with my coworker for my birthday on Memorial Day. Our tour guides were Ricky and Nick. Both of them were amazing and kept things fun and interesting. There are six zip lines and all of them were exciting. They are focused on safety and gave detailed instructions. The only downside is it takes awhile to get through. You have to wait for the entire group to finish before moving on. We had a group of 13 counting our guides. Thankfully everyone in our group was nice, but there is a lot of waiting. I'm sure it wouldn't feel that way if you knew everyone in your group. Thanks for a great experience. :-) I hope to come back again with a larger group of friends. read more

I've zipped before at other places so this was not as exciting to me as it could be for a first timer. Its a long drive out to Camano, but thankfully this place is on the main road. Lots of parking and an inside area, but strangely only porta potties. Complimentary cookies and apples were a nice touch. Plus they gave a bday gift to people zipping on their bdays. Guides were great, energetic and fun. There are 6 zips, only 1 was especially good. I did like the belay system for getting down off the course which was new to me. One stop had some delicious tea awaiting us. You also get to go in a short van trip up the hill, the rest of the tour does involve some light hiking. They provided some brief history during this part but van noise made if very difficult to hear. Many people rented head cameras to videotape their ziping, but this does seem like a lot of effort and might not always work as well as it could. Its pretty mellow so you could hold your regular camera or video camera in your hand and record if you were confident you wouldn't drop it. I do find it unusual that this place makes you hold onto your rope with one hand so no hands free zipping or leaning back like you can do at some other places. My friend enjoyed it and even ended up going twice. I would love it if they added a ropes course someday. read more

Went zip lining yesterday with my husband and two other friends and it was so much fun! I had never been zip lining before and I started out a bit nervous but Jacob and Tyler were wonderful (hope I spelled their names correctly) and made me feel safe! They were a good team as guides as Tyler was really funny (at least I thought so lol) and Jacob had a calming effect and was the nicest! Canopy Tours is an amazing way to have a work outing! It is set up in a beautiful forest on Camano Island, and all of the staff are just wonderful! Your guides (we had Ken & Gunner) will be a delight to be with and much more informative than I could have imagined and really help you enjoy yourself up in the trees. Their professionalism and positive attitude can really make your day there. We even had a lesson about treating nettles after I rubbed my leg into some. Did you know you can treat nettle stings with their own leaves? Safety is Canopy Tours' top priority but they don't make it boring, and you can really get going fast on the last few lines! Zip On! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! I booked this trip for my boyfriend's birthday as a surprise and it was the most fun experience EVER. We were both first time zippers, and the staff did an amazing job at making us feel welcome, safe, and secure. Everyone we came in contact with was so friendly and genuine. I would absolutely recommend renting the GoPro to take on your adventure, as it was WELL worth the extra money spent. Initially, I thought it was unnecessary, but I am SO GLAD we decided to do it. The video we got to watch that night when we got back home was priceless (with special messages added in from my boyfriend and the guide! So special!). The memories will last forever.
