Probably my new favorite ice cream spot! It's a small local ice cream spot with hard or soft serve ice cream, some snacks like hot dogs, sandwiches, corn dogs, and a little patio. In the summer it gets pretty backed up because there is a drive thru. If it's backed up we typically park on the lot next to Mona's instead of at Mona's. I love their artic swirls (similar to a Blizzard at DQ). They have sundaes, banana splits, milkshakes, and good ol cones with soft serve or a hard serve flavored ice cream. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill since the ownership changed early this season. I can handle the slower service, but what I can't handle is the lack of care and general housekeeping any place that prepares food should have. Constantly greeted with an extremely messy prep area, disgusting inside area, and a smell of bad milk spilling throughout the restaurant. I can't blame the teens that work there, but I can blame the complete absence of management every night and during their busiest times each day. I am a massive ice cream fanatic but I always have a soft spot (get it ;)) for the community ice cream shacks. I was raised on this type of ice cream! Mona's is one of those classic community hang outs and they do not disappoint! Call me boring but my favorite go-to here is the classic twist cone. Their portion sizes are generous (the typical "small" cone here would be a "medium" elsewhere). The ice cream is so smooth and creamy. Mona's also has the best of both worlds in that they serve the traditional soft-serve but also have an array of Johnson's flavors as well! I love the Johnson's in Bexley and my favorite flavor is the Salted Caramel Choco Pretzel Trap. They have it here at Mona's and sometimes I will opt for that instead of (or sometimes in addition to--no shame!) my normal order. The girls that work here are also SUPER friendly and nice every time we go through the drive through. Couldn't ask for friendlier service. All told, I'm glad that the Grove City area has a classic ice cream shack like this one. Can't wait to be back soon! read more

The staff always has a smile as you roll through the drive-thru and even if the wait looks a little long it's worth every moment. You can get a variety of things here, from hot dogs and sandwiches to ice artic swirls and slushies. When getting sundaes, you have the choice between hard or soft ice cream, my opinion is always get the soft. When it comes to the Arctic swirls I'm down for the Reese's peanut butter cup swirls and always remember to add extra peanut butter cups. If it's a nice day (you know, once this quarantine is over) don't forget the gazebo to sit and have a nice ice cream break with your family. Super cute ice cream shop on 62. They're back open for the season so stop by! They serve Johnsons ice cream as their "hard" ice cream option and soft serve otherwise. Prices are right in line with what you'd expect and they don't skimp on portions. My husband had a strawberry cone and I had a chocolate malt shake. $7.25 total. Great bang for the buck! The ice cream and food is all reasonably priced and delicious! Since the original Eats and Treats closed, the new owners have really improved this Grove City establishment. The food and treats are better, the inside got a face lift, the new patio is colorful and comfortable, the gazebos going in out back are a nice touch, and the hours are longer.
