Maybe, but Shake No.8 was not a ghost town. When we pushed open the doors there were at least a dozen other people bundled up in their winter parkas, enjoying shakes and sundaes. Proof that the ice cream is so good, you'll even walk through a blizzard for it. It was our first visit and the guy working the counter walked us through the menu and showed us photos of the menu items. We decided to keep it simple with a strawberry milkshake and a limited edition Dubai chocolate shake. His hospitality and service is top-notch. You can tell he loves what he does and takes pride in it. The pictures don't even do these shakes justice, they tasted even better than they looked! The pistachio ice cream in the Dubai shake was world-class; creamy, rich with chunks of toasted pistachios mixed in. And a strawberry milkshake with A SIDE OF CHEESECAKE?! I mean, come on. It is, however, still rich because the sweetness is close to an Indian malai sweet. In December, they had a buy 1 get 1 special, which was a great deal and I got 4 pints. I chose guava, lychee, and Reese's oreo for my son. Guava is not my favorite, it is a tangy more fruity flavor. I really enjoyed the honey ginger milkshake here also. They also had a 12 days of Christmas special to try different scoops daily, which I thought was fun. One thing to note about this shop is that it closes on after December 31st all the way to March, so if you need to get any flavors in, it's best to get the buy 1 get 1 deal before they close.
