I had never heard of Toft's until this past spring, when my son's baseball team informed us about Toft's running a promo for little leaguers. Apparently they're a popular ice cream place up near Sandusky, and this location in Grandview is their first shop in Central Ohio! So the biggest impression I've gotten from this location is that they have the nicest people working here. They're always really cheerful, helpful, and patient. My kids sometimes take forever to decide what ice cream flavor they want... Their prices seem kind of high at first glance, but it's actually reasonable considering their standard order is a large scoop each of 2 different flavors. They have a large assortment of classic and specialty flavors. I haven't tried it yet, but their made to order ice cream cookie sandwiches sounds amazing too-- we are definitely getting that on our next visit. Writing this review has gotten me craving Toft's actually... I may have to go again this weekend! read more

I really liked my ice cream flavor which was coffee with some chocolate like pieces. It was delicious. Service was quick except the cash register broke down and there was a line of people who were waiting to pay. There is some outside seating but it is rather limited inside. There were some funky flavors. Very ice cream parlor like atmosphere. read more

The woman helping us was knowledgeable and patient with us since it was our first time. My husband wanted a super thick shake that's almost like blizzard, and she was able to make it for him. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back some time read more

Brought my nephews as we're doing a tour of ice cream places in Columbus. Small interior but friendly staff who let us have samples. One got a strawberry shake, another got the cotton candy and some other kid flavor ice cream and I got a flurry (like a blizzard- vanilla ice cream with Reese peanut butter cup pieces). I wish there was more than one size because it was huge but it was really tasty. We all enjoyed what we had, they didn't haven't bottles of water when we visited but they did give us cups. read more

The hubs and I decided to have dessert before dinner one evening, and we found Toft's. They have all kinds of different sweet treats cups cones sundaes I think possibly shakes can't remember. Everything that I sampled was fantastic. It was hard to choose. Just wanted to two scoops. The staff was super nice and friendly. Even put up with my indecision on what flavor I wanted. Took my son and nephew in for ice cream after a day at the main Columbus Library. The interior is very small. A few tables and some chairs. It was hard to see the flavors through their case, as it had become frosted. It was nice to be able to try a flavor though before ordering. We enjoyed the peanut butter tilly tracks and birthday cake flavors on a chocolate waffle bowl. I liked that they had a waffle bowl option. You can add toppings for extra. The ice cream was good, but nothing I found that was very unique from other shops. read more

A nice addition to the 5xNW area. Upon walking in, you're sure to be greeted by a smiling face offering you ample samples. I tried several...enough to say that some were good and some were great (because can ice cream really be bad...?) My favorite: the brown butter bourbon truffle. A small cup contains two scoops, so I paired my favorite with a butter pecan scoop which was a good choice. I love the service there. During my scoop samples, I gravitated toward their two cheesecake flavors. So then they let me try a small sample of the off menu strawberry cheesecake sundae. Toft'a will be a hard temptation to resist during the warmer summer months. read more

A sweet new addition to Grandview. Staff was very personable and gave great customer service. Space is small but cheerful. I could see it being very tight inside when it gets crowded, as the ordering area is narrow and there are only a few tables. Parking is challenging in the strip mall, as it is shared with lots of other businesses. I got a sundae. It was mostly all ice cream with hardly any sauces, but it was a very generous amount of ice cream. The chocolate peanut butter was rich, creamy and had great pb flavor. It was some of the best ice cream I have had locally. They had about 20 different flavors and they also sell cartons of pre scooped ice cream to take home. read more

I love this place! I got two scoops of the Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle and Brownie Bandit and they were so delicious. I didn't even know this place existed since it's relatively small in a busy plaza, but I'm so glad I happened upon it! I know Jeni's and Graeter's are hard to beat, but this might be one of my go-to ice cream places now. I would highly suggest everyone tries it out! read more

I grew up with Tofts and having it available locally again is so amazing! The scoop shop is cute and clean with a little seating area and a big selection of flavors. (Note: dole whip will be on offer soon, but isn't available as of mid January.) I've been in twice and always am greeted and given great customer service. First visit I got a pre-packed pint to go (strawberry cheesecake - so good!) Today I got a small cup (2 scoops and you can pick 2 flavors.) I got moose tracks and chocolate peanut butter - such s good combo! It was hard to pick!! The eyes on top made my inner child so happy! Service was top-notch. There was only one person working on a busy Friday night. The young gentleman behind the counter was very courteous. He asked if we had been in before and when we said it was a out first time, took a moment to explain things. He was really nice. We ordered the fluffernutter sundea and a small cup. The small cup comes with two decent siz scoops. It was a lot of ice cream for me. I tried the peanut butter cup and the brown butter bourbon truffle. The ice cream was okay. I liked the bourbon truffle but it was a bit gritty in texture and the peanut butter cup didn't taste like much. The sundea with the plain vanilla ice cream was pretty good though. I did love the little candy eyeball surprise on the top of my ice cream cup! It was cute! There are a few seats inside but it got crowded and loud fast. We took our ice cream to go. The ice cream was mediocre. I went for the butter pecan but they didn't have it. Big disappointment. I had strawberry cheesecake and cookies and cream. There were NO strawberries in the strawberry and cheesecake. Would not go again. It is also card only. Service was A1. You can sit and enjoy your ice cream but I had mine to go.
