There is always just 1 person working which is a nice black lady or an Asian man. But they never have enough people to accommodate their customers. Sometimes you'll be standing in line for like 30 minutes because the person in front of you doesn't know what they want. I've also gotten a payday small loan here before. Never any issues about that portion. I just feel like the customer service needs to improve a lot better! Overall they have nice staff and seats inside! So I guess it's not too bad! read more

I've been a client of this store for a long time. They used to be easier to work with. They advertize 14 day loans in writing in their office then administrate loans due in 11 days. On my last loan I wrote down that my payday was on Wednesday and they still wrote the loan for Monday. They're in it for themselves. In the past if you wanted to extend your loan you could do that by paying the finance charge and they'd write a new loan. They won't do that now. Sometimes good places go bad and bad places go bankrupt. I think that their profit margin is obscene and their citizenship as a financial institution has transcended way down. Stay away from Money Mart!!!! Especially in Westminster, California... STAY AWAY FROM MONEY MART!!!! read more

I transferred to this location about 2 years ago when I moved from Norwalk. Shame too, because there was a cute employee that worked there. MoneyMart let me down this last week when I attempted to do a payday advance. They constantly bug me providing a new paycheck stub and back statement. Well guess what? Theres no internet where I live, nor do I even have a printer if I even had internet, nor is it convenient for me to obtain printed statements. I've been at the same job, for 2+ years, I have a car payment, rent, bills etc. Nothings changed since last week idiots. So anyway they agree to print my bank statement right from their computer and were suppose to update my records. Apparently they didnt, because I went in unexpectedly to do a cash advance, guess what? They required yet another printed check stub or bank statement because, the loan from the previous week had not cleared yet because they lagged on depositing it. Too bad for them. They lost out on a transaction. I simply went somewhere else. I wont be doing business here anymore. Sayonara. Did I mention parking here sucks, and is pain to get in and out. I found a place closer to my house that is more convenient. It's also alot nicer in appearance and doesnt look like a friggen welfare office. read more

I asked to pay the fees of money transfer by debit card which was around 11.99 and they told me u r going to be charged $2.00 which is fine...I just found out that they process it as ATM withdrawal which my bank charge for it $3.50...thats too much and I was not told its ATM withdrawal because I swiped at thier POS.. read more

I live in Huntington beach and make the 10 min drive to this location even though there are plenty of closer options. I've never had an issue here and i am always impressed with their western union services. They are quick, efficient, professional, and friendly. Im usually in and out in less than five minutes. The man who i assume is the manager is personable and always remembers me and why I'm there. Ive witnessed him engaging with a less than happy customer, and still he kept it professional and was apologetic. I imagine that line of work can be challenging so i appreciate the good attitudes from the whole staff. read more

I wish I had read the previous review before I made the mistake of going to this store. I needed a payday loan, and I'm on Social Security, so I get paid once per month, on the third Wednesday of every month. When opened the account there and spoke with the manager she said no problem, they do loans for folks on SS and she understood that I get paid on the third Wednesday....which is not necessarily the SAME EXACT DATE EVERY MONTH. First two times I did a loan there, no problem. The third time was in October, which I would then pay in on the third Wednesday, November 21st. The employee behind the counter tried to tell me my loan would be due on the 14th, which she said was the third Wednesday of November. Nooooo, I said, look on the big calendar hanging on the wall right behind you... the third Wednesday is the 21st, not the 14th...I don't get paid until the 21st. Well, this clerk just didn't get it.... She kept saying the third Wednesday is the 14th. Look at any calendar and you can see she is wrong. I told her she was wrong and tried to reason with her. She kept counting the first three days of the month -- Thurs, Fri and Sat, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, as a the first week.. Noooooo, I said (trying to keep calm) that's not a whole week...there isn't even any WEDNESDAY in it! She just didn't get it, and the guy behind me was laughing and shaking his head.....he couldn't believe she didn't get this either. So I asked for the manager (who had originally set up the account with me), and she said there was no manager there today, she was the "acting manager." But she did call the manager...and the manager evidently explained to her how a calendar works and how many days there are in a week, etc..... She hung up and turned around and said okay, I must have misunderstood....it was the way you said it, i just didn't understand. (Even though it says I pay on the third Wednesday of every month in my file right in front of her..... ) So she finally agreed, but then says that because their computer will only date me up for 30 days (and there are 31 days in October which throws it off one day), I would now have to pay on the 20th. I told her no.....once again, I can't pay until the 21st. She said I would have to because she can't date it out more than 30 days, I said I had been told by the manager that they do loans to folks on SS, no problem, but according to what this clerk was telling me, they can only do it on months that have a maximum of 30 days.....so they can't serve people on SS except on certain months, is that it? She still didn't get it....and I gave up. I'll pay it earlier from my husband's payday and then I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER go back there again. After I logged on here and saw the last review, I get it now....it looks like .they use any means possible to "extend" your loan so they can charge you yet another outrageous fee. And any company that deals with customers or anything having to do with finance or money, or calendars, should have someone who understands at least how to read a calendar. read more

I received a call from an Alexis today about a check not clearing. I explained that there must be a mistake. She gave me the employee name and I checked our system and I explained we have no one by that name. She argued that we did and she had already spoke with my managers in the other location. I called my other store and they informed me that Alexis called but did not know how to pronounce the last name so they only informed her that we have a employee with the name Alfredo. I got back on the phone with Alexis and explained the situation. She kept mentioning Huntington Beach which was a franchise not connected to us years ago and is no longer open. So I again explained that this was not an employee of ours. She then said ok I'll just call you again. I told her that would not be necessary as this is not our employee nor our location. She then said that I was rude and hung up on me. I tried calling the location to speak with her manager and she answered the phone so I hung up in hopes to speak with someone else. She then called my location 2 more times harassing me. I asked to speak with her manager she said she was the manager and told me good luck getting a hold of any one else. This is unbelievable behavior. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional. read more
