The food at the Mongolian grill &a sushi bar was really good. At first I didn't know how to order because I had never been there before, but the staff was really friendly and showed me how to order. Basically you can either order off of the menu like a normal restaurant, or you can get a bowl and put the ingredients inside and they will cook it for you. Cool idea! I was so tired of eating at chilies and boring places like that. If you need some food that tastes delicious and is fun to eat this is a great place to go. I ordered sushi (California roll). It tasted good and was a good size for the price (I think it was $4.95) also I ordered a bowl with beef, pepper steak, crab, shrimp, and octopus legs and got teriyaki sauce. Very good flavor and great service. I highly recommend this place to people who want good food and a good environment. The lights are low which is nice! Also they have most of the windows closed so you can't see the ugly streets outside which is perfect. Only thing I would change is make the music Chinese or Asian music instead of American music because well most American music these days sucks! Beyoncé and Justin beiber sucks! Less than one star, I was eating lunch and saw a roach crawl under my table. The taste of the food was mid Safeway sushi is better and the boxed yakisoba is better than any noodles they have but to each their own. And the way they treat their staff is foul so I don't recommend. Not a relaxing place to unwind and eat. read more

Your 93 year old grandfather would love to eat here because he can leave his teeth at home. The stir-fry bar was terrible. Everything was overcooked and you have the pleasure of trying to stick your meal in a small bowl that wouldn't feed a hamster and get it fully overcooked by a lovely person who doesn't speak your language. It was ok. My wife and I were visiting her brother and family in the area and this is one of the decent restaurants that was open apparently. They had never been to this place but it seemed steady with customers. I had the chicken teriyaki that was about the same as any other place I've visited except that it came on a bed of onions that was massive. I don't know how many onions made up that bed but wow...was I supposed to eat that? My family had sushi, fried ice cream, and other dishes which they seemed to enjoy. This place is pretty cool. It's sort of your typical sushi place but with a kick. You can order a bowl and customize your food to your exact liking. They give you a metal bowl and a card where you choose your kind of rice or noodles and you carry both to a bar. It's filled with veggies and meats, sauces and spices. For example, I picked broccoli and than piled in chicken, beef, pork and a few shrimp. Got a decent bowl of food. Another in our party put meat in their bowl and went back to veggies and put them on last in order to pile it on. They got a HUGE bowl of food. All the same price. You hand your bowl off to a cook, they give you a number and your server brings the food when it's done. Food is amazing, however I have serious concerns about contamination issues for those with celiac. It's like a lunch line if you get the red bowl. You stack your items that you'd like in it and drop it off for them the cook. Your even pick your carb as in noodles, rice, or even cabbage. Great place to eat. We recently ate at the Ghengis Grille in Port Arthur and found it good, but with signs on the podium giving us the indication that they do not serve shrimp due to the "high cost". Then we went to the Mongolican Grille in Orange and guess what, they have "in-expensive shrimp" on the table and I can put as much as I want to (as long as it fits in the bowl". I've stopped going back (I was a longtime customer, going for YEARS since I lived here).
