Chicken teriyaki.
Gary G.

It was ok. My wife and I were visiting her brother and family in the area and this is one of the decent restaurants that was open apparently. They had never been to this place but it seemed steady with customers. I had the chicken teriyaki that was about the same as any other place I've visited except that it came on a bed of onions that was massive. I don't know how many onions made up that bed but wow...was I supposed to eat that? My family had sushi, fried ice cream, and other dishes which they seemed to enjoy. All in all a decent visit but nothing spectacular.

Wow this place was yummy, I had the Mongolian grill and it was yummy! Vonda had the Hibachi scallops and it was perfect. The waitress was very positive and explained the way the place works. It was very clean and our food came out very fast and was cooked as we requested. My only complaint was that it was very dark inside. Other than that it was great and we will be back.

Food was pretty good!

Been here a few times .. service is usually good .. but they close at 9:30pm .. so don't even bother coming here after 8:30pm because the service sucks close to closing time! Pretty much nonexistent!

These people never seem to disappoint with food. My parents leave near this restaurant and always send me pictures of their food! It is routine now, every time I go to see them; we have to eat here. It's like a lunch line if you get the red bowl. You stack your items that you'd like in it and drop it off for them the cook. Your even pick your carb as in noodles, rice, or even cabbage. You even get to choose your own sauce! I brought a best friend there and she fell in love with it as well. Our service this time was the best, he was very slow which you could tell he was fairly new. I always hate to ask for a refill of drinks. Almost a pet peeve. If you are ever in town, it's worth the wait!

The food at the Mongolian grill &a sushi bar was really good. At first I didn't know how to order because I had never been there before, but the staff was really friendly and showed me how to order. Basically you can either order off of the menu like a normal restaurant, or you can get a bowl and put the ingredients inside and they will cook it for you. Cool idea! I was so tired of eating at chilies and boring places like that. If you need some food that tastes delicious and is fun to eat this is a great place to go. I ordered sushi (California roll). It tasted good and was a good size for the price (I think it was $4.95) also I ordered a bowl with beef, pepper steak, crab, shrimp, and octopus legs and got teriyaki sauce. Very good flavor and great service. I highly recommend this place to people who want good food and a good environment. The lights are low which is nice! Also they have most of the windows closed so you can't see the ugly streets outside which is perfect. Only thing I would change is make the music Chinese or Asian music instead of American music because well most American music these days sucks! Beyoncé and Justin beiber sucks! Asian music while eating Asian food makes food taste better. I have a feeling the people of orange may have requested American music. I'm not from orange so who knows. Thank you staff for the great service and thank you cooks for the great food!

Although the reviews were mixed, the majority were positive, and seeing that they offered pho, we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, the host was warm and welcoming. The restaurant itself features pleasant décor and a comfortable atmosphere. There were a few families dining at the time, which created a relaxed and inviting environment. The host took our drink order promptly and brought the beverages out before our server came to take our food order. We ordered the special vermicelli plate, fresh spring rolls, and the ribeye pho. All of the dishes arrived at the same time. The vermicelli bowl, unfortunately, was not as flavorful as we had hoped; the sauce could have benefited from a bit more depth and seasoning. The pho was satisfactory, though we may simply be accustomed to a more robust, authentic flavor profile. During the meal, our server checked on us several times. We did need to mention an issue with the shrimp in the vermicelli plate, and he handled it professionally by removing the item from our bill, which we appreciated. The service overall was attentive and courteous. It's possible that because we visited closer to closing time, the broth and proteins may not have been at their peak freshness. Despite our mixed feelings about the food, the quality of service and welcoming atmosphere left a positive impression. We would consider returning, hopeful for a stronger culinary experience next time. So we can revise our review.

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

Even so, we didn't have to wait for a table for two. The meal was filling. The portion sizes are enough to feed two people. I made some alterations to my order and they were happy to oblige. Our service was great. I could tell the waitress was new and still learning so I worked with her. She now knows that they do have serve a salmon dish that comes with jumbo shrimp, steamed vegetables and the rice of your choice. This dish was pretty good. I could have done without the jumbo jalapeño though. I enjoyed the seaweed salad. It came with a bed of lettuce and a creamy dressing. Not the typical seaweed salad, but enjoyable nonetheless.
