This restaurant has been in Grand Island a long time. I moved back here almost two years ago and finally realized I needed to try this place out. My only other experience with Mongolian grill have been chain restaurants such as HuHot and Genghis Grill. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly/professional. There's a good selection of meat/seafood, vegetables, and tofu to build your bowl with. Then there's the signature Mongolian sauce along with ginger, sesame oil, lemon juice and so forth to season the bowl before handing off to be placed on the grill. The cooks take their time and I've never seen them cook more than two bowls at a time unlike the chain restaurants. The meal comes off the grill steaming hot and delicious. When going through Grand Island, we stopped here for lunch. I'm not sure how long they've been there, but it used to be a pizza place. The buffet had a nice selection of fresh veggies, meats, and noodles and a few options for sizes. We never saw the prices for the various sizes, but we went ahead and got the large bowl. After adding our desired sauces, two people were walking around the round grill, cooking our food and moving it around the grill. They had some kind of soup, maybe sweet and sour, which I didn't care for. You could also get white rice out of an electric rice maker, if you wanted it. The food was cooked appropriately, it was flavorful, the workers were all nice, everything looked clean and replenished regularly. This is a hometown favorite of mine. They recently remodeled on the inside and it looks great! They have a lot of vegetable, noodle, and meat options to fill your bowl and they cook it in front of you on a grill. A great experience! My wife is Gluten free. We searched the website and it stated that all foods and sauces were designated GF. When we arrived we looked at the sauces and there was no GF designation anywhere. We asked 2 employees and neither of them knew which sauces were GF. They acted as if they had absolutely no clue what we were asking. One employee looked at the sauces and pointed to the sweet and sour and said, " Maybe this one?" Maybe? MAYBE? My wife's health is worth more than a stinking maybe!!!! Please train your employees. Yall this place! The food is amazing! We ate here for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was so good. The kids thought it was pretty cool watching their food get cooked. The service was good and they made sure to check for refills and anything else we needed. The establishment was clean and the food was always stocked and they made sure to keep it stocked. This was my first time at a place like this so I didn't know what to expect. But it was great, and very fast, and cheep as well. If you haven't been to a wok style restaurant before, it is basically when you put all the raw materials in a bowl, and then give it to the chef, and they make it and give it back to you. My favorite spot in Grand Island! I literally eat here twice a week. Amazing selection of food on the buffet, choices for any diet: Keto, gluten-free, vegetarian, pescatarian, and more. You are charged by the bowl so pile it high! It shrinks when it cooks. Best advice I can give is to use the sauce chart above the line at the end. I can tell you the times I've been to Mongolian Grill places. 1st was in 1991 in Seattle, I didn't quite grasp the concept (I was drinkin those Seattle beers) you think me mates woulda told me don't just put MEAT in yer bowl. I had to go back and get the other stuff...Thanks. They ain't my friends anymore, they are all computer geeks. Who don't know how to interact with people. 2d time in West Hartford, CT 1993 this lady I worked with kept screaming "we should go to the Mongolian Grill for lunch!!!" so 10 of us went and did the Mongolian Grill, and she ordered off the menu. She is currently a psychologist giving bad advice to people. Once again, another person who can't deal with people in a normal way. I saw a trend. As they say on Fleet Street in London, 2 is a trend, 3 is a scare you should watch out for. 3d time in GI 2005, this place, it was good but had I not been back in all these years. Was it still fashionable? It's always been open, it still must be good, right? Beats eating the Runza next door. There are lots of regulars, they pile their stuff HIGH in the big bowls. Nebraskans eat a lot of food, they ain't foolin anybody here. Really good asian change of pace. Do you like flavorless food AND having an epic blowout a half hour after eating? Then this is the place for you! This was the worst Mongolain food I've ever eaten. The only reason it gets a star is because zero starts isn't an option. In in town for work with 4 other guys. We all ate here for lunch today and every single one of us had shit explosions shortly after returning to work. So SO good! It is all create your own bowl and they cook it for you right in front of your eyes on an open grill. A variety of veggies, meats, tofu, noodles and sauces. Good for meat eaters, veggies, vegans, gluten free. The decor and exterior look like a normal buffet place, but don't be fooled! It's delicious here! read more

I went there with my wife and kids and when they sat us down there was ants crawling allover the table, walls chairs and even on my 5 year old girl. This place is pretty good. No shortage of fresh ingredients to pile high in the bowl. I like being able to add my own ingredients instead of just getting whatever is on the menu. The soup that they serve is very good, and the sticky rice that comes with the meal is very good also. My two complaints: 1. Lack of sauce selection. They need more choices so that you can get more than one or two tastes out of your dish. 2. It's not all you can eat. So if you wind up with the wrong combination of sauce, you're stuck with it. Given the chance, I'd MUCH prefer Hu-Hot in Lincoln. Tons of sauces, and you can go back as many times as you want. I get several very small bowls there so I can experiment with the sauces. But for Grand Island, it's pretty good, and thats about all we can expect here. read more

First Time going there was great! Wasn't too busy at all. My friends had went with me and one of them recommended to go to this restaurant. Had a great variety of food to choose from to make my own bowl of noodles, they even give a guide on how to make the mongolian sauce for the noodles. They have two chefs that make the noodles and they show it right in front of you as you wait for them to make it, they also even give you a bowl of rice to eat along with your noodles. They also had great service they asked us if everything was fine 2 times. Only had to pay about $9.80 for my bowl of noodles and a drink. Overall had a great experience for the very first time visiting the restaurant and next time i'll be bringing my family along. read more
