Super cute/kawaii, inviting shop with genuinely warm service and good vibes. They currently predominately have officially licensed items for characters like Rilakuma and Kewpie mayo baby. It's cool that some of the products are specially distributed through Moni. I was hoping they'd have Snoopy too but none at the moment at least. I was so happy that my husband mentioned this place and we ended up here during our last morning in Honolulu. Definitely worth a stop if you're into kawaii, Japanese goodies and stationery, but also could be worth being aware of which characters are currently featured. A lot of the items, such as their various stickers, are reasonably and fairly priced -- more so than other similar shops. Vivid print quality too. Other items were tad too pricey for me to justify (e.g. $8 for a very tiny thin canvas drawstring bag and other small pouches in the $30+ range). read more

***UPDATE*** I revisited this location when I came back to Honolulu and was so pleasantly surprised by their Hawaii Rilakkuma and Aloha Kewpie! The freaking sun tanned kewpie baby?!?! The florals with Rilakkuma?? I bought too much stuff bc it's Hawaii limited (how could I resist). My top favs are the kewpie tote and the my Rilakkuma plush!!! (And ofc a magnet, too cute to resist). Calling all Kewpie lovers! Yes, the best Japanese mayo with the cute baby mascot has its own store in Waikiki! My favorite part? The tanned kewpies!! Move aside tan Hello Kitty, it's tan Kewpie babies time to shine! They have everything from t-shirts, magnets, tote bags and even blind boxes! I wish the blind boxes had the tanned kewpies but it's still cool that they have different figurines that you can get. Located in the Waikiki strip nearby I think Lawson store the kawaii characters drew me to peep inside this store. Kewpie character (you know the mayonnaise LOL) is part of the character they sell here. They had cute little items from stationery to clothing and tote bags to plushies. Went to the sale / clearance section and found a little linen drawstring pouch with a hula kewpie girl on it. It was on the clearance bin and was priced at $5! They give you a free sticker if you make any purchases from the store so I opted a ramen bowl sticker. read more

This store is so gosh darn cute! I love Snoopy stuff and Peanuts stuff. I own so many things and love places like Cedar Point where it is all Snoopy, so Snoopy and the gang in Hawaii is next level adorable. If you are a fan they have so many shirts and bags and stickers. They even had a Peanuts movie going in the store when we were there. It was a bit pricey, but very unique. I am such a sucker for character itrms and if it is Hawaii only...well even more. I love snoopy and this tan-skined snoopy is way too cute!! But I gotta say they are soooo overpriced. The materials themselves for the goods are definitely made in China quality....T-shirt, towels, bags, and cellphone cases...just cheap looking. I understand the location, the copyright license fee and all gets pretty expensive but if I am paying this much, I expect at least better quality. I was lucky to find a cellphone case on sale for $10 because it is an older series. I am not sure if I am ever gonna buy something for full price but I know I will be tempted to. read more

Moni Hawaii has been expanding as this location is its THIRD location in Waikīkī. It is located at the Moana Surfrider Resort, across the street from Urban Outfitters. We were enjoying our pre-dinner walk through Waikīkī when I spotted this shop that sported a tan Charlie Brown and his pal, Snoopy. As I walked in, I found Charles Schulz' Peanuts Gang have all been sunbathing or enjoying the sun and surf. All of them were golden tan and wearing grass skirts, bikinis or swim trunks...no, I didn't see Snoopy doing the hula. Remember...I said "pre-dinner walk" so I hadn't started to drink, yet. Anyway, they were quite busy with lots of Japanese visitors so I didn't really get to talk to the salesman who did greet us with an "Aloha" when we entered. Everything seem neatly folded and nicely displayed. The t-shirts were printed with surf-inspired or Hawaiian phrases. So cute. I didn't buy anything on this trip but I'm pretty sure that I'd be back soon. Besides, who can resist these beloved characters like Snoopy or Charlie Brown? read more

My favorite hotel in the world. The waves are perfect for learning to surf and the atmosphere of the hotel is extremely relaxing. Do yourself a favor and sit outside on the rocking chairs in the front and back to watch the beautiful brides and all that Hawaii has to offer. read more
