Shopping in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend, Cece, from Northern California, sent me a post about the new Hello Kitty print which was arriving in July 3, 2026. I didn't think anything until she explained that the fresh, green, exclusive design is only available in a backpack, laptop sleeve, pencil case, and lunch bag... plus, it will only be shipped to Hawaii addresses with a minimum purchase of $200 to avoid shipping charges. Uhg... I pondered about what to get. Cece said the pencil case ($32) was on the small side. She went to the store and snapped a few photos with her hand for size comparison. Hmm... I decided on the lunch bag because it included a crossbody strap as well as a handle on the top. Cece stood in line for me and said that the salespeople were super kind and organized. She was first in line and got my bag for me. Later, I went when there was no line. The cozy shop was clean and bright and stocked well! Cashiers were smiling and helpful! This is one of my favorite stores in Waikīkī!!!! They also have one at Alamoana Mall. But I like going here because when I stay in town it's near Dukes restaurant. This place carries ALOT of selections, great sales and the ladies are all so friendly. I always make a point to stop there and get something. Walked into this specific Aloha Collection store only to be met by the RUDEST customer service sales associate. There were signs inside the store for discounted rates if you're willing to spend $150 or more, and being a fan of the brand I was ready to do so. I only wanted to confirm which bags are included (also stated on signs inside store to ask sales associate) and this girl gave so much bad attitude when getting asked about this store promo. To the store manager of this specific location (next to Moana Surfrider) , please don't hire sales associates who don't enjoy helping your customers because I was so turned off by this that I walked out the store without purchasing due to the service I received. Really cute store! I stopped in to check out the new hello kitty collaboration collection, and the decor was kawaiiiiii! All of the bags were sold out but they still had some apparel left. As far as value- everything is on the pricier side for what it is. Like, I paid $40 for a simple trucker hat, but whatever it's cute! To start off, either park closer to the park or by the Zoo, or International Marketplace (need validation) and walk over, but the best way to arrive here is by foot or get dropped off. Forget about leather luxury goods, stop by Aloha Collection. As the first location on O'ahu, it's always nice to be able to check out a product or a print in person. I love these Aloha bags. They are waterproof, easy to clean, light and the tropical prints make me feel that I'm on vacation. I currently have one bag with accessories that I use almost everyday. This was my first visit to the shop in Waikiki. The clerks were super nice, one spent a long time with me, telling me about the seasonal bags. Aloha started a little over a decade ago with two women (Hawaiian residents) designing travel bags. This IS a local brand. I was on a mission to get a backpack. They carry several colorful backpacks and the fall seasonal ones were on display. The backpacks are made of a nylon-type material, not the same material as the bags. I liked the backpacks, which were reasonably priced, but I couldn't settle in on a pattern, today. They carry many of the popular patterns in the shop. It was nice to see all the patterns together. Has anyone else NOT received their Hello Kitty online order since October ?? I have been waiting patiently, emailing & checking my updates on shipping , it keeps telling me it's on its way ! BEWARE!! If you plan to order an item on-line. I ordered a bag for my wife 16 days ago. The first order was shipped to the incorrect address, and the incorrect address was used for my credit card and somehow, I was still charged for the order, although the address didn't match my card address? I emailed them the next day, and their AI bots were happy to help ship a replacement item. 15 days later, no bag, and the tracking info they AI bots sent me says 'Label Created'. Soooo, where is my bag? I have no idea. It is also impossible to speak or email with a human, it's all AI robot generated and there are no phone numbers I could find in order to reach a human, outside of a store that is, and they were no help at the store. Just beware if ordering online... I forgot to add, I called their shipping center and again, I could only "speak" with an AI bot, which was also no help at all. read more

Really cute store selling nylon and plastic-ish bags and some other wares branded with Aloha patch and some proceeds going back to a Hawaiian non- profit. It was crowded - it helped that everything was 40% off. I ended up with a cute purple print crossbody/hip bag. A lot of Hawaiian style prints, but black, camo and some other really nice options. Overall, happy with bag at 40% off, not sure I'd purchase at full price. read more

This business specializes in travel bags (pouches, totes, fanny packs, toiletry bags, and duffels) made from their "Splash-Proof" materials, and their Hawaiian flagship is conveniently located right in the heart of Waikiki. The boutique is cute, and well laid out, showcasing all their different designs and product types nicely on the shelves on the wall. I'm a huge fan of their pouches, and was thrilled to come across this store during my visit to Honolulu! The pouches are perfect for storing my wet swim suits on beach trips (they are so much cuter than a plastic bag), and for acting as an organizer for my luggage, and closet. I like to keep each swim set in their own pouch so that it's easy to just grab one and go without having to look for the matching top/bottom. The pouches come in many tropical designs, and in four sizes (Mini $24 USD, Small $34 USD, Mid $44 USD, and Max $48 USD). The staff at this shop were friendly, and provided just the right amount of service. The company also get brownie points for donating 5% of their profits to Hawaii-based conservation organizations. read more

When in Hawaii, Aloha Collection at Ala Moana Center is a shop to check out. Selling all sorts of different collection of products with unique designs and with bright beautiful colors and floral patterns, etc. The products include a variety of different sizes of pouches, totes, cross body, duffles, hip packs, back packs, accessories and so much more! The material of these items are very durable, easy to wipe down, cute and ready to use for any occasion like a day to day use or a beach day or an adventure day l, etc. that's what I like most about them. I stayed a good one hour in this shop looking and touching all kinds of items deciding what to buy. Haha! I did end up purchasing two keep it light hip packs in Black and Camo print also two different sizes of tropical bright colored pouches. So glad there's a Boutique like this! Those that really know me I'm a genuine bag lady. What I've also have taken a passion to is escaping adulting by going up north and search for sea treasures which I could just spend hours getting lost loving and staring out to the ocean. With that I've been gifted several Aloha Collection totes and pouches all with the island shell prints and was just amazed with it's incredibly thin and lightweight it was...and that it's splash proof! Am I gonna test that...heck no! I treasure all my gifts and love them to the moon and back but know that when I eventually used them my klutzy self can definitely tell you it certainly is waterproof lol!! Yup spilled my coffee omg, the fabric itself is waterproof but the zippers and seams aren't but let me tell you it's super easy to clean which is why I love it so much!! Service: I have been lucky enough to go to the new Maui store over the summer, as well as the new Newport Beach location. I first found their brick and mortar store on Oahu in August 2022. All of the workers are super friendly, make great suggestions, and conversational. The gal at NBeach, asked me where I was visiting from and I went their twice during our visit to Orange County in July. Ambiance: Such a huge variety of colors and patterns. So many different sizes, hats, T-shirts, and they do online points club and offer discounts over a certain purchase point. Value: I get the best deals online around the holidays, Black Friday and their birthday sales, the bags are durable and beautiful and I have quite the collection going between me and my two teen girls. read more

Happy NY! Came here with my MIL for my bday gift. Customer service was really good. They were quick to greet us as we entered and were super friendly. The store itself is small, but clean and well organized. Perfect for a quick buy. I love how they had many bags on display of the different styles. My sis-in-law and I were super excited to see their actual shop in person, rather than scrolling online. Sis-in-law introduced me to them and they're an amazing company. The shop's vibrant and definitely exudes aloha vibes! it was nice to be able to check out their products and compare the sizes in real life. The only downside was their online site still had far more products than in real life. We were hoping to buy a lot of products to save $ for shipping but eh, minor details. I've been buying these bags online and at various shops around Oahu for awhile. So when I heard they were opening a store in Waikiki, I was super excited. It's located in the Sheraton Moana Surfrider hotel right on Kalakaua. These bags are so useful and waterproof. There's a bunch of different bags and pouches to choose from in so many fun prints. They're lightweight, easy to clean and good quality so they last awhile. I love taking them to the beach or when I'm traveling. I have pouches in all sizes since they're so practical. They are on the pricier end but worth it in my opinion. What do I use the pouches for? I use them as a purse, packing cubes when I travel, to separate/organize things in my bag or to hold my wet clothes when I go to the beach. If you live here, make sure you let them know that you're kamaāina. Your shipping!!! I ordered this during your Black Friday days within the first few days of December, and still have not received the order. This was part of a bunch of items that were supposed to be for Christmas gifts. It's already the first week in January 2025! Very irresponsible of Aloha Collection. And when I sent an inquiry, you're on vacation???? Absolutely no response as of today. Only take the money, right? No aloha here. You guys are only concerned of your sales while not even delivering the purchase. And your employees at the Aloha Collection shop at Ala Moana only make excuses. Offered to give me credit for my products (at the discounted price) for replacements (at full price!) in the shop. Your shelves were empty with only the basic designs left! You need to shape up your business. Stop acting like a local operation with your fake smiles and hands out and taking advantage of fellow locals. Horrible! It was nice to see a lot of the all the different collections in person but was saddened that they didn't have anything exclusive to the store compared to online and/or retailer that may carry a handful of their products One bag that said HNL or Waikiki wording on it but nothing else. I ordered two bags as a gift on July 4th and they still have not shipped. I was unaware of any shipping delays at the time of order and ,had I known, I would not have, as I needed them within the timeframe their shipping information states. Growing increasingly frustrated at their apparent lack of customer service. It's clear they are too busy opening new stores, providing merchandise for other retailers and marketing (I get emails every day about purchasing more products) than taking care of their individual customers. I was excited about this purchase and I'm not happy to write this review. I regret not digging into this business and reading other reviews before blindly ordering.
