It's difficult to find a good barber shop these days. Everywhere you turn, the business has a…read moregimmick or some skeevy people hanging around. Music way too loud, way too inappropriate when children are around, smells like weed and costs way too much. I want to come to a barber shop, not a night club. The last place I'd gotten cuts at even showed nudity on the tv when a kid was in there. No class, so I never went back. I've hopped around for a few years trying to find a new regular shop and I'm glad to have discovered The Barber Shop. The parking can be a little tricky, but once you're inside, you're immediately greeted by a professional and kind barber. The shop is spotless, clean, and open. The signage on the walls are a very nice touch to let you know this is a safe and professional space. I've only worked with one barber in particular and I keep coming back because of the quality of his cuts and again, his courteous demeanor and professionalism. That man is Jay! The first time I came in for a cut, I didn't have an appointment, but he was able to fit me in pretty immediately and a young man came in selling aguas and fruit and Jay asked if I liked horchata. I said who doesn't? how much is it? And he told me "don't worry about it. I got you." What? that was the nicest thing. I need to make it more of a point to go regularly instead of once every few months so I stop looking like a monchichi lol. John spent a lot of time listening to my son, exploring the picture he brought, and asking clarification questions. I loved that I was not asked what he wanted. This spot is a true "gentleman's" barber shop, authentic chairs, after shave, powder, all of it. I really respect that they treated my young man to all of it. Blind Tiger does take a bit more time than a typical boys' haircut, but I promise it's worth it if you're trying to teach your teen boy how to take care of himself to look and feel his best. Other locations in the area seem to charge a lot for fades/ tappers, and I'm not usually satisfied with the cuts. Came in as a walk in with my 6 YO son. Eddie was available and did great working with my son; even striking small conversations to make my son feel comfortable. Eddie did a wonderful job getting the fade and cut. I liked that he informed me about certain cuts may not come out as pictured because it's based on the the texture of the hair; but he got it really close and I was happy with it. They are going to ask you what kind of cut you want then proceed to put all your hair on one side of your head and cut it like a comb over. I'd put two side by side photos but I don't have a recent photo of my hair before. I went from having long curtains/ middle part to a pineapple
