What a gem! I've always meant to try this place out and glad I finally did. Growing up in South Texas, I love panaderias and so happy I found this place. The selection is much bigger than I expected we tried a few things like conchas, empanadas, and some Mexican wedding cookies. Todos delicioso! You grab a platter and tongs when you get inside and put everything you want on the platter and then a lady will check out at the front. Next time I'll take some pictures. Idk what else to say about this place that hasn't already been said. They are simply the best local bakery period. The breads are soft and fresh daily. Sweet breads and cookies are delicious and always plentiful with a wide arrangement of typical Mexican and surprisingly some Italian style pastry too. But the thing they are most known for are the delicious cakes. They do not use butter cream rather whip cream which is always rich and velvety soft. This place is about a 10 min drive from me but it's a great place to get fresh pan dulce in the mornings. They have cake, flan slices, and whole cakes for sale in their display cases. I haven't had a chance to try any but will purchase soon! The sausage rolls are really good too. read more

I could have gone to a grocery store and get a less expensive cake but it was a special day and was willing to pay for (I thought) higher quality . I was disappointed. The cake cost me $70 for a 1/4 sheet. It had 3 common decorations on top (I understand they were limited with selection). I was expecting soft moist cake with fresh strawberries in the middle. The only thing they got right was the frosting. The cake was hard as if it was over cooked and the filling was a very thin layer. As if the strawberries were razor thin. It is a smaller bakery which is fine. Their pan dulce and sweets are so yummy. Options for grab and go cakes. Took a tres leches and all my co workers loved it. Star is friendly. They also take orders as well. Only down side is it isn't clear how fresh the cakes are. read more

OMG! So many goodies! We came in for a rosca de reyes and were blown away! All of their pastries are fresh. Cakes look amazing and I plan on ordering one for my daughters third birthday. We've found our new pastry place! Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme...you name it, they don't have anything on this joint (well, besides donuts :p)! They have a large variety and everything I tasted was delicious. Previously, the only time I bought pan dulce was in San Antonio. I've lived in the area for 5 years and have never been able to find a bakery that had pan dulce comparable to what I grew up eating. The variety here is impressive and it has easily become a family favorite. The pan dulce is delicious with my morning cup of coffee. I'd definitely recommend anyone with a sweet tooth to give this place a shot. Did I mention it's affordable?!? The price makes it even better! Be very careful ordering these layered cakes in the summer time as our top layer fell off within 12 min of leaving the bakery on our way to the event .
