Wow what a surprise! We came just to shop and look around, no clue this Tea Room existed. I ordered the LoneStar plate enjoyed the chicken/zucchini quiche, soup of the day was asparagus lemon pepper , very rich and creamy, quite a surprise since I have never had this soup. Our table also ordered a Ham Sandwich on pretzel bread ! The sandwich was good. We were full but once we saw desserts at other tables we had to try one .... Maybe 2 . We had the bread pudding. I am a bread pudding snob so this was average for me. We also ordered the Italian Cream cake ! The cake was amazing ! Great service and a very nice place! read more

I have been going here for lunch for about ten years I think. I always get the chicken salad plate with fruit. It's a small place with good food most of the time. However in the last few months there is something going on with the chicken salad and I'm posting this because I'm just getting tired of paying $15 for lunch and being served what I "suspect" is left over chicken salad. I know this chicken salad like I know the back of my hand because I've had it a hundred times. I know when it's fresh and I know when it's not. Possibly with rising food cost we've been hearing about they are not making it fresh every day and using what was left over from a previous day. The texture is very mushy and it has very little taste. I have had this happen several times and I also suspect the same with the Poppy Seed Dressing as both of these things are off from time to time. I hope that management will look into this and see why this is happening because as I said before I am tired of paying $15 and only enjoying fruit and crackers on the plate. Real, fresh food. I've been coming here for years and it is consistently great! Hot or cold drinks or food, you won't be disappointed. If you are not familiar with going to a tea room, you might think their prices are high. Remember the food is prepared fresh and served on real plates and tea cups. I like going to this little tea room inside Lonestar antique mall. It's very cute and have an European setting. The servers are nice and warm people. Menu is not huge but nice quick sandwich and soup kinda items with some nice deserts. You have to go pay at register to don't forget to note your table number that is v clearly written on the table so they pull your check out. A nice walk in antique mall after our brunch is our New Year's Eve Day tradition.. read more

SimpliciTea's is a great little cafe sort of place inside of a very cool antique mall! The service was very good and friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable! I had half of a fairly typical but good club sandwich and a cup of excellent jalapeno potato soup! The chocolate cake and ice cream dessert was excellent! Definitely a fun place and if you come you should make sure you also have time to shop around... the antique mall is a little pricey but not too unusual and has lots of cool stuff! read more

During my mother's closing years at an "Independent" living and later "assisted" living home, SimpliciTea's Tea Room was her absolute favorite for a getaway lunch treat. She has been gone for one year now and my wife and I decided to go back as a nice way to remember her and enjoy, once again, this special treasure. SimpliciTea's offers simple homemade food like their signature chicken salad sandwich on pretzel bread and perfectly balanced turkey meatball soup in a broth that is like grandma's (if she was a really good cook). Or you can choose their wonderful quiche or gourmet salads. Chase that with their fruit flavored tea of the day......I had peach tea and it was really refreshing. Save room for dessert though cause they have good ones. SimpliciTea's would stand all on its own just fine, but it is tucked into the right back corner of Lonestar Antiques....a huge warehouse sized antiques mall, packed with treasures which are displayed in nicely staged "rooms" throughout. We found a vintage wash bowl and matching pitcher we had been looking for to complete our antique marble topped wash stand. It was only $39 so we scored big. All in all it was a wonderful way to have a lunch date with my wife. Try it, you won't be sorry. There aren't many places where you can enjoy delightful piano background music presented live by Nancy C. Cute tea room tucked inside the lone star antique mall. Try their spinach feta salad with raspberry vinigrette. So yummy and filling if you aren't that hungry. I had reserved a private room at another cafe for a baby shower with 26 attendees. Less than a week prior to our event I heard it had closed - permanently. No warning and no notice. We contacted the manager, Judy, at Simplicities who accommodated us on very short notice. The menu was fabulous - with three different choices available to each guest. I was concerned about whether the food would all come out at the same time. But it did - seamlessly. It was delicious, with generous portions. The setting is lovely, and there is lovely live piano music that adds so much to the atmosphere without overpowering it. All of the servers were attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this setting for an even, or just lunch. You won't be sorry! read more

We spent the afternoon at the antique mall and had a lovely lunch at the tea room. Because we were a large group of over 10 people they gave us a special menu choices were a half-and-half lunch or a three salad plate or the Quiche the day plate. I chose the half-and-half plate and had a 1/2 of a BLT with a cup of tortilla soup. I added a avocado to my sandwich for $.50. And choose a pretzel roll as my bread for additional $.50. The meal also came with a side of potato chips and I had unsweet iced tea to round off my meal. The sandwich was very good the bread was fresh in the bacon was tasty and the soup came out hot with a little bit of spice to it and was very filling. I chose a slice of buttermilk pie for my dessert and it was excellent however it was served warm which I've never had it that way but still very good. Others at the table tried the chicken salad and said it was excellent and the Quiche Of the day was very good however the crust was a bit tough. I look forward to returning again for lunch and windowshopping throughout the antique mall. read more

Well the food was amazing and our server was as sweet as the peach tea, but I was very frustrated with this tea room today. It was my mother-in-law's birthday and I had called close to two weeks in advance to see if I needed to make a reservation for seven people. The lady on the phone kind of sounded confused and said, " you don't need reservations on a Saturday for seven people here". When we arrived at 11:30 this morning they asked if we had reservations. I explained about the conversation I had had (checked my phone records; it was 7/25 @11:04am) and the lady proceeded to tell me that we needed to call in advance for parties of six or more. She had an attitude but said she would take care of us. The remainder of the lunch I kept looking over at her whispering to other employees and looking at our table. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but it really seemed like she was discussing what had happened with everyone in the restaurant and making me feel very uncomfortable. I believe she was probably the manager or the owner. I also believe that she is probably the person I talk to you on the phone because she sounded like an older lady on the phone and everyone else that works there looked to be in their 20s. This is a nice hidden treasure located near 820 & 377 in Haltom City , Texas. I discovered this Tea Room by accident while shopping for antiques with my daughters and niece. If you are looking for a quiet, welcoming place to take Mom or Grandma & Grandpa for an outing indoors on a hot day this is it! You can spend hours walking through the incredible antique collections, then kick back, relax, listen to the lovely pianist play contemporary and classic music and enjoy their refreshing Mango iced tea, lunch, and if you are still hungry, you can't go wrong with any of their desserts. The menu is simple - soup, salads, and sandwiches, oh and of course desserts. If you like pecan pie, they have the BEST Bourbon pecan pie I've ever eaten. The prices are very affordable. You cannot judge this little gem by first impression. When you pull into the parking lot and note your basic industrial style steel builiding, you would never imagine what's inside. We had a Women's event here and reserved the back area. At time of reservation we were told there was a deposit of $100.00. I inquired that this would go towards final bill of which I was prepared for. The attendant told me yes. However, at time of check out, our bill was almost $300.00. I showed them our receipt for $100.00 deposit and the lady rudely informed me, oh no, that's a separate charge. I said, no, a deposit is a partial payment. Therefore this should come off bill as I was promised at time of reservation. We would have never ever paid $100.00 for a hot corner. She absolutely refused very rudely. So I went to the front where the nice young clerks affirmed they understood the way I did and in fact when they worked in tea room, that's the way it was. But the tearoom woman would not budge. Therefore, I left my number with the front for the owner to call, nothing! I wrote him a letter asking for our $100.00 back, nothing! I was super disappointed with their actions. Needless to say myself and approximately 25 women will not be back. Sad sad sad! read more

Food and servers are fantastic but the manager is very, very rude. My mother and I were there today and we both left feeling very embarrassed about how she spoke to us at checkout. We ordered and received a side salad but she charged us for a full-sized salad. It really wasn't a big deal but after discussing it with her she got very rude. I have been coming to Simpliciteas for a little over a year. As a previous reviewer posted, this place is a hidden gem. The food is light and fresh and the service, until recently, A+. The service staff, from the hostess, waitresses, bussers, and kitchen are usually friendly and accommodating. I've bragged to my husband about this place and have been waiting for a moment when he and I could come together to enjoy an early Saturday afternoon lunch together. Our opportunity came yesterday, and I was sorely disappointed for him and for me. Our experience yesterday was not typical of my normal visit to Simpliciteas. I warned my husband that large parties were not unusual, but despite that, the staff was always attentive and friendly. Again, our experience yesterday left much to be desired. However; I was astute enough to see what was amiss. The servers did not have the usual team support that I observe when I've been there before. Everyone seemed to be on edge, almost fearful. Absent was the harmonious team play. Tables were left waiting for long periods of time; glasses were not refreshed; customers were not provided with menus after being seated and those of us that ordered were left waiting for a long without so much as an update or at least an apology or explanation. Two ladies that were seated behind us who came in shortly after we had come in, left. My husband and I considered leaving as well but decided to stick it out. When our food did finally arrive, almost 25 minutes later, we weren't disappointed; still, such a long wait and such unusually poor service was not the fault of the servers themselves. I would suggest to the owners to revisit their management practices and whom they leave in charge. Their attitude was less than friendly to us and several other customers. If this persists, I will take my business to another tearoom in Fort Worth. Nevertheless, as we had no complaints about our food once it finally arrived, but due to the mismanagement and atypical service from a poorly managed weight staff, I have to give Simpliciteas 3 stars today. read more

We had a birthday luncheon at this wonderful tea room (26 guests) and they serviced us very well!! Upon all being seated we had our ice glasses and there were pitchers of water, tea and their delicious flavored tea on each table. Our orders were taken in a reasonable amount of time and within a very short time the food orders were coming our way. Everyone's order was correct and we heard many compliments on their delicious salads, soup, quiche, sandwiches and fruit dip. The service was excellent!!!! Many ladies were so impressed with this tea room and plan to go back to have lunch with friends. I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking for a place to have a birthday luncheon. They were very easy to work with and very reasonable on their requirements of us. We are very grateful to SimpliciTea's for helping us host a 75th birthday party for our special Mom, Grandmother, Mother-In-Law , relative and friend!! read more
