Truly an experience found easily on W. Victory Blvd. in Fort Worth, the Swiss pastry shop is unique. There is something for everyone to be found here from cookies to amazing pies and cheesecake slathered with cherry topping. Helper chose cherry pop over. The pastry was not as normally expected flaky, it was a beautiful delicious bite, filled with cherry filling, nearly like a jelly filled doughnut. The greatest compliment I can pay a pastry shop is that I might go in for one bear claw and come out satisfied. Today we went in for oatmeal cookies and came out with two boxes because we couldn't decide which one we wanted more. I just see from the attached photos. We came out with two boxes one filled with cookies and one filled with pastries because one box was not going to be enough. We are not a family of eight, so we're going to have to fill ourselves up or find some really sweet friends to share with soon. You will not be disappointed, and we saw they also are offering coffee. I was so happy to find the Swiss Pastry Shop so close to my hotel while visiting Fort Worth. The bakery case had so many options it took me awhile to decide. The person behind the counter was happy to tell me all about their pastries and what is popular. She also took time to explain their gluten free products when I asked. I ended up with a cinnamon roll, a cream cheese pocket, a cream cheese croissant, Black Forest cookie and a little almond cake that I can't remember the name! Too good to go review: store seemed closed when I arrived for pick up. Another lady was knocking on the door and they came and answered. Then the woman inside gave us both cheesecakes- it was nice to get a whole cheesecake. The cheesecake I got had whipped topping on top which was goopy and didn't taste very good at all. The cheesecake was dense and had a slight film to it like it had been sitting for some time as well. It just didn't seem fresh which makes sense considering they didn't seem to be expecting us today. The dining area was torn apart like they were remodeling. This is my first time trying them and I'm not sure that I'd revisit this one. read more

I have heard great things about Swiss Pastry Shop and they did not disappoint. The pastry cases were stocked with so many different types of sweet and savory pastries that it was hard to choose what was going to come home with me. Thankfully, the employees were super friendly and happy to give recommendations. The pricing is very reasonable and I left with 4 pastries for under $10. Everything I've sampled so far has been delicious and I'm looking forward to trying the other items. Parking is super easy with plenty of spots out front. I'll be back again for sure! read more

There is plenty of parking in this little strip mall. There are an overwhelming amount of pastry choices! I went with the choice that put them on the map and that they have available in pre-cut slices: the German Black Forest Cake. It is surprisingly gluten-free. It was tasty but missing the moist cake texture that I love (hence the gluten-free). Most of their cakes are sold as cakes and not slices. If you're in the area, this is a fun pastry shop to visit. I am definitely glad I checked their menu before decided where to have breakfast. As the staff mentioned to a couple looking to have breakfast, their kitchen has closed. The only breakfast option was a breakfast pastry. When I typing the caption for the photo I uploaded, the site was suggesting menu items no longer available. As such, I stopped to have a pastry and coffee before heading back East. I did not see anything tempting until I caught the Chocolate Rouladen at the bottom of the display case. I ordered that and a coffee. Unfortunately, the employee did not hear when I mentioned I planned to dine here; otherwise, she would have not forgotten to provide utensils. Now that the kitchen is closed, the interior did not feel appealing to dine inside. The interior was not brightly lit and a section was closed off. When I had my first bite, the pastry was too cold to taste. It needed to be left at room temperature before being served. Some parts of the pastry did warm a bit. As for the coffee, folks in line ahead and behind me definitely were not here ordering it. Other than the couple who wanted to have breakfast, I was the only customer dining inside. Today, my coworker and I was on the look for banana pudding and she saw that this establishment had some available. The customer service was HORRIBLE. Their King Cakes are not fit for a King. I ordered 2 King Cakes over the phone and specifically asked if the cream cheese filled cake would have cinnamon in it as well. The person on the phone said yes. I dropped off one of the cakes for athletic staff at my daughter's school and the other was for my family. We were all very disappointed to discover the cream cheese filling that was promised was no where to be found. An occasional bite would have a tiny hint of cream cheese flavor but there was visibly no filling. There was also no cinnamon anywhere in the cake like they told me there would be. It was basically dry bread with a pretty iced top. So if you want a pretty cake to display and don't care how it tastes then it's a $17 table centerpiece.
