I kid you not, she got this twisted look on her face, confused, and upset. She told me that since I had alot of hair that it was going to take an hour and 30 for her to complete. She asked me like five times if I really needed my hair washed. I looked at her and told her that's what I was scheduled for and that's what I will be getting. Also, I got ripped off. I asked the receptionist how much they charged for a wash and style and she said between $25-30...She charged me 57.50. FOR CURLS. I was pissed. I will NEVER, EVER return to this place.

Brenda's services are great, she knows what I want, she always LISTENS to me and gets the color and cut right every time. I have also had my nails done here and been satisfied. And use the esthetician to wax my brows. Its nice to be able to get everything done in one place. They have about 5 hairdressers who keep their own schedules. Brenda is always in high demand, but I can usually get in within a few weeks. I have appts set up in advanced as do most of her regular customers.

I was doing my own hair, pretty much keeping up with my roots until I could find someone. No big deal, but I'd rather pay a professional. I was recommended to Hello Gorgeous and called to see if I could get in. The stylist I wanted was booked solid so she recommended me to Kristin. Fast forward to the day of my appointment. I am a blonde, by choice, but have naturally mousy brown/dirty blonde hair, and it's long... like to my bra strap long. I take good care of my hair and spend 5 years growing it long, but it can easily get fried and I was very up front about this with Kristin. I told her that I like highlights but she needed to be careful and I could not go platinum blonde at all. My hair would just break off. She seemed to listen and was pretty positive that she could do what I wanted and so began our journey. The light my first hair appointment she never faced me toward the mirror which I though was odd, but I know every stylist is different. I could see her using bleach and I assumed she was just updating my roots and maybe adding a few highlights. She was very confident and made me feel very at ease and comfortable throughout the few hours of work she out in on my hair. Then the reveal... IT WAS PLATINUM! I was immediately worried. I had literally told her before we started that my hair could not handle platinum blonde! She didn't listen, but it looked beautiful and so I tried to be happy with it and cross my fingers that it wasn't fried. So, I naturally didn't wash my hair for 2 days after my appointment and right off the bat I could see a little breakage when I styled it in the mornings. Then, I washed it. Please note that I use high end products for damaged hair and deep conditioning items, etc. Well, my hair immediately broke off. By the time I went to dry it, I was missing a lot of the sides. As I brushed it gently, it continued to melt off my head. I tried not to panic, got through it and did the best I could to curl it and make it look ok. That night I went to sleep and woke up with hair on my pillow and a mullet. A LITERAL MULLET! All of the side of my hair was mostly gone except for a few strands and the back was choppy with a long bottom. Y'all, it was terrible! Within a week or so of steadily loosing my hair and having to pin it back I reached out to Kristin and told her my dilemma. We decided to order extensions to try and fix it. It wasn't fixable. She was super helpful and gave me her time for free at first, but then she got DONE with the situation after a few months of extension maintenance and just simply started to be rude to me. One time she was washing my hair and the water was splashing on my face and I told her what was happening so she THREW a towel on my face. I knew at that moment I was done with her. I got through that appointment and never went back. Since then, I found an amazing stylist who is helping me grow my hair back and not over bleaching it! It's been almost 2 years since Kristin burnt my hair off and it almost shoulder length and I have just a few tape in until the front is long enough to do something with. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. This is a warning to be super careful about who touches your hair.

Also, she gives you her opinion of what looks good & what does not. I love that she knows my hair & does amazing things with it. Every time I go, I get something new, & each time, I love it. I cannot complain at all. You can also see Ginger or Nicole, who do amazing work as well. I use to go to Ginger & she does amazing work as well. Nicole never cut my hair, but I seen pictures & the work she does while I am there, it is pretty awesome. If you need a new salon, go here. Try any of them & I promise, you will NOT be disappointed.. Our bigger issue was with their new make up artist if you can even call her that. First I hired my own because they told me they didn't have one then last minute they told me I couldn't bring my own because they just hired one so I lost my deposit on my original makeup artist. Anyway their makeup artist said she wasn't a professional, didn't know how to do fake eyelashes, and didn't listen to my makeup wants because I said I didn't want eyeliner but she did it anyway. Mike cut (parts of it) with a straight razor. Had never seen that done before. But that isn't even the best part, he cut my hair and then asked what I thought, it looked great but just slightly longer than I was expecting. I did not give him clear instructions, so it was on me. But with a smile, Mike wet my hair down again and cut it to the perfect length. Mike is freakishly good at his craft.
