This is the first review that I have written for all the spa services at various locations. The people here are unprofessional and rude and I need to let other people know about the situation. Avoid this place like a plague. I received a call out of the blue accusing me of cheating them by using a service twice without paying both. The lady on the phone kept calling me a liar until I told her to stop and check with her own people and let me tell talk. She went on and on until I had to yell at her to let me talk. What happened was that I came in but I was using hydroquinone for the last 7 days so they couldn't perform the procedure so they asked me to come back later. On the book, it showed that I came in twice but the procedure was performed only once. Why didn't she check with her team first before accusing me of being a liar and cheater? Who would talk to another person like that and particularly a customer? So rude and unprofessional. In terms of the service, the IPL has ZERO effect. I called them and they said that I need to do another session. I have had IPL done in the past and I understand that I need several sessions to get all the blemishes out. However, I would expect to see some redness and some dark spots crushed up. Nothing happened here. If you don't have the right intensity, you can have 100 sessions without seeing any effect. Other offices would ask me to come in and try a different setting at no additional cost to make sure that they have it right. Don't fall for the Groupon gimmicks. It's cheap but you are getting ZERO value so it ended up costing you more. Don't use this place! read more

Do not ever go there for laser hair removal treatments. Their machine is old without any cooling system. Their nurses completely inexperienced and unqualified. my first appointment was with a nurse on her first day , she did not know what to do at all ; their laser rooms are like torture room ,, I did 3 sessions with them and they burnt my skin badly with blisters and burns .and I ended up going to urgent care because of the pain and they even not bother themselves to refund me for my remaining balance. I will not go there anymore and will take legal actions against them. read more

I get treatments done pretty regularly. All kinds of treatments. I found Monique and Timeless from Groupon. I've been going back month after month ever cents. Rola, the owner, makes it very easy and convenient for me to make appointments with my very busy schedule. She gave me her personal cell phone number so that I could contact her directly and she always accommodates me whenever she can. I love to see Barbara. She's no holds bar and gives you the best and most effective treatment she can. Today I told her go hard Barbara on my micro needling and boy did she ever lol. I've had great results and people complement me on my skin all the time. You won't go wrong by going here. I have the monthly membership and appreciate what it has done for my skin. read more

Update- I am now downgrading my review to one star. It has been several month since my first laser treatment for spider veins in my legs, and more than a month since the second treatment. At first I thought the treatment had worked, since I noticed a temporary improvement. By the time I had my second treatment, (Which I had already pre-paid since I was optimistic after the first), any noticeable improvement was gone. When I went in for the second treatment, and mentioned to the technician that I initially thought I saw improvement but that was short lived and I was back to where I started, I was told that *MANY* treatments may be required to see a noticeable difference. Since the treatments are $200 each +, I am not looking to spend thousands of dollars and would have sought other options if I knew that going in. Since I already paid for the second treatment and could not get a refund, I went ahead with the second treatment. A month later - ZERO results. I have my own before and after pics and there is literally zero improvement. $400 wasted. Not happy. read more

This review relates to the Chemical peel (Perfect Peel) service I received. The skin care aesthetician applied the peel on me while I laid still and it went into my eyes and skin around my eyes. It was extremely scary and stressful as the aesthetician just kept saying this never happened before. It burned extremely strong. I had to wipe my eyes with tissue dipped in water for ten minutes and the pain subsided. I had told her that this was shocking and I do not expect to have to pay for the full price as a result of the mistake made and risk to my eye health. I had to ask her for goggles. She brought some eye covers and I put them on. She finished the treatment and then I continued to wipe my eyes and at the end she said she will have to call the manager. At this point I was told I have to face call with the manager who said I should put anti redness eye drops in my eyes. I asked the aesthetician if she has ever put drops in someone's eyes before. She said no. At that point I thought I might as well apply it myself, but at the insistence of the manager I allowed the aesthetician to apply the eye drops. The Manager on the phone told the aesthetician to give me a $30 discount on the $350 price and she hung up. The aesthetician came in the room and I told her to call her back and tell her it was rude she just hung up and did not discuss the discount with me as I was expecting at least a $50 discount (instead of $100 which would normally be provided at other Skin Care / Laser Salons). The aesthetician called the manager and I spoke with her telling her that I did not feel she cared about my eyes and the mistake that has happened and the upset this has caused me (the whole experience) and that I was expecting at least a $50-$100 discount. She said fine, $50. Unsurprisingly the drops did not go in my eye on both tries when the aesthetician tried. I highly recommend not going to this place for any work on your face or if you do not want to be burned or get more issues than what you came in with. This particular staff member had insufficient training and experience and should not have been left alone to perform the peel, let alone, left alone in the business location. I followed the after-care instructions to perfection. However, a week after my treatment I noticed burns along my mouth and eyes. It is 2 weeks on since the treatment and I have permanent marks and so I have more pigmentation on my Forehead, Cheeks, and some bruises (or new brown patches) along my mouth and eyes. I would say my skin looks four times bad now as it did before. Do not go here. I have been to La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic, and they provide excellent, safe and caring customer service. read more

First of all, this is under new ownership- so the low revIews are from the previous owner. I've been doing Botox and Juvederm for over 8 years. I love this place! The prices are low - $9 Botox! They do not dilute the serum. They constantly have monthly specials. I have used a spa in Del Sur, but she was getting too expensive. This spa provides the same results! The RN is very knowledgeable and only suggests the amount you need- no up-sell! This is the first time I do not have bruising around my lip area, only a small shadow. Yes! Ek! I'm one of the last people to leave a bad review but if you want to get a Brazilian wax, stay FAR away from this place. My appointment was at 11:15, we didn't walk back to the room until after 11:45, I was walking out of there by 12. The wax was f a r from complete but the pain and blood were enough for me to walk away, go home, and take Tylenol. I had to make an appointment at a different salon to have the job completed pain, tears, and blood-free. Monique, the owner, seemed nice enough but the experience was terrible. Though she did seem upset with me for purchasing my wax via Groupon... Also, slightly inappropriate at times. Won't be back... Though someone did mention she gives wonderful facials... Where is the actual Groupon discount? I feel ripped off (no pun intended as I got a Brazilian). I got a Groupon deal for $39 for one Brazilian and told the person who made my appointment about my Groupon and that I also wanted a full leg wax for whatever that costs. Yet, the total was still $110 (not including tip). So including what I paid for my Groupon that's $149 for a full leg and Brazilian which is more than I have ever paid in about 20 years of me getting waxes. WHERE IS THE ACTUAL GROUPON DISCOUNT? They did take the Groupon voucher, so it was applied. By the way, I tip well for waxes because that is not a fun job AND because I usually pay less for waxes, so if you add my $25 tip in that's seriously $174. WTF!? I added a star because they gave me a generous glass of wine when I arrived (didn't know I would be paying for it!) Oddly, two girls did the leg wax (Shay and Sarah) and then Sarah did the Brazilian. That has never happened before and my legs were no more or less hairy than any other time I've been waxed. It was awkward that there was no tip line when using a card to pay, so it's cash only for a tip, and since there were two of them I gave Sarah $15 and Shay $10. Both girls were VERY VERY nice!! 100% No complaints about them. It's not their fault about the pricing as they specifically told me they were told by Monique to charge that way. read more

really sweet staff who always are very talkative and make me feel very at home! went in for tattoo removal from a groupon maybe a year ago, and I bought a package of 6 sessions and they matched the original groupon price! still working on removing my wrist tattoo, but after 4 sessions it has reduced the tattoo in most places and removed about a quarter of the tattoo. very clean facility as well. I will say that the procedure rooms aren't very decorated, but the waiting area / lobby is and it's cute as can be! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I visited back in October for a laser hair removal. My skin is darker, but I was assured that this wouldn't be an issue. Instead, I received harsh burns in the area that made movement very uncomfortable for weeks, and the hair never actually left. Months later, I still have burn marks. I tried to get a refund from the center but was repeatedly refused. I have gotten treatments in the area before from another business and it has been effective, so I know the issue is with Monique's itself. Save yourself the hassle and forget them. read more

I cannot even begin to thank Yelp for having this kind of service. It's extremely important for me to let everyone know that this salon has the worst service ever. I purchased a groupon for here and I ran out of there fuming. It was the most painful and dreadful Brazilian wax I've ever had. She was extremely rude to me once I told her I had a groupon. She said I'll never take in another groupon person again because I don't make any money on them. She also mentioned her time was worth more than I paid for the Groupon. Then her ignorance flew over the top while she was doing the wax. She kept going in different directions.
