Most importantly, Ms. Sheela and her team of teachers were all great. Our daughter started there at a young age and grew tremendously in her time at Future Kids. All the teachers from Ms. Eshani, to Ms. Paula and Ms. Patty were all extremely kind and patient. They always took time to discuss how the day went and how our daughter was doing. My personal experience has been one only God could orchestrate. I'm a single mother with a lot on her plate and my baby girls have been to four different preschools over the last two years. Going through a divorce has us moving around a lot trying to figure out our next moves. I loved Kindercare Cerritos but when we moved with family it became too far and too expensive. Finding Greenwood Avenue Kindercare was a miracle. They are much smaller which is why it was hard to get both my girls in but it was God's timing when they could take them both. Derrick (the director), Ms. Jasmine (assistant director), and my girls teacher Mrs. Gina, (and frankly every single teacher at that school) have been angels to my girls!!! It rips my heart knowing it will end soon and I wish I found this school earlier but I know they came when I needed them most! Derrick has helped me far beyond what one is called to do. He has worked blessings that I tend to question instead of allowing God to work through wonderful people. All this to say, they are humans, they will make mistakes but I know good people when I meet them, and the staff here are good, kind, loving people that my girls adore. I am so thankful for them all!

As I walked over to the restrooms they were locked. Evidently they run this "Kinder Care" program and informed me that I could not use the restroom because it was connected to their "Kinder Care". Mind you I'm disabled and 69 years old. I just needed to pee. Finally after almost begging to pee, the unsympathetic gentleman now walked over with some children and informed me I could not be in the restroom with them to wait. I then proceeded to ask him to open the men's room, again, I just needed to pee! He finally allowed me to pee with such an awkward attitude. It's a shame people don't treat the elderly with more respect. I would not want that kind of empathy around my children. He needs better social skills! Especially being a person who manages kids. The program director, Savi, told me that the information could not be provided until after paying a fee. After paying $125, I later learned from the funding agency that there is a waiting list over a year long, and we are currently #49. The agency also stated that providers are fully aware of these waitlists and should be disclosing this before collecting any fees. To make things worse, I was later told there was an assumption that I was already approved for assistance--which is completely untrue and contradicts the email chain. On April 9th, I was told we would need to be approved first before selecting a school, by the program director confirming we were starting the process from scratch. Because of the lack of transparency, my child still cannot attend daycare, and we were put in an unnecessary financial and childcare bind. Please, if you are a parent searching for childcare, make sure you: * Ask about funding, grant programs, and waitlists BEFORE paying any fees * Request all terms and information in writing * Verify timelines and eligibility directly with the funding agency * Confirm that the daycare is being fully transparent I'm sharing this so other families can be informed and avoid unnecessary stress during an already challenging process. I chose this site due to the location and other parents recommendations. I was not disappointed. When my child was a toddler the teachers were wonderful helping my son transition in and cry every time I left. They helped him with his feelings and lovingly distracted him. When the vocabulary was lagging they very gently told me and I was able to get him evaluated. Long story short, he impressed everyone with his verbal abilities now. I could have moved him to preK at a public school at age 4 but I am glad I did not. He is now in kindergarten and doing great. I must comment on price and the number of adults per child. I thought the price was reasonable. Education has to be invested in for our children. If you want additional education for your children then you are going to pay a little bit extra. If you don't like it, well sorry to be the first to tell you that our society doesn't value children or women much. If it did, then our teachers would be paid more and our schools would not be dealing with a ratio of 1 teacher to 25 students. I think the job done at the center is completely worth the cost when I was there and now. They got us through very tough times without extra pay. I am grateful for the teachers and staff. I have to say they taught me some techniques as a parent. I will try to get my second child into this center as well.

As a parent, I believe it is important to know how my child is doing, how he is interacting with other children, and whether there are any concerns that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, that level of communication was largely absent throughout our experience. There were multiple occasions when I arrived to pick up my son from his assigned classroom, only to discover that he was in a different classroom. When I asked why he had been moved, I was often unable to get a clear answer. As a parent, it is concerning not to know where your child is throughout the day or the reasons for changes in their routine. When we first enrolled our son, we were informed that the center was in the process of implementing the Procare app as a communication tool between parents and staff. We were told that parents would receive updates, photos, messages from teachers, and notifications regarding supplies such as diapers, wipes, extra clothing, or any other classroom needs. As a mother of six, I appreciated the convenience and reassurance that this system was supposed to provide. However, in practice, communication through the app was nonexistent. There were very few updates about my child's day, limited photos, and little to no information about his progress, activities, or interactions. If supplies were running low, I often found out at the last minute rather than through advance notification. There was also very little proactive communication regarding behavioral concerns, developmental milestones, classroom changes, or incidents that occurred during the day. On several occasions, I learned about issues only after they had become ongoing concerns rather than being addressed collaboratively from the beginning. Most of the time, I had to initiate conversations myself to get information about how my child was doing. Another disappointment was the lack of classroom work and artwork coming home. I expected to see more age-appropriate projects and creative activities that reflected what the children were learning. Artwork was sent home very infrequently, and when it was, it often appeared to be largely teacher-prepared rather than work that my child had independently created. As a parent, I enjoy seeing my child's creativity and developmental progress through the projects they bring home, and that opportunity was limited. My son is an energetic and active child who loves to run, jump, and explore. While I understand that children learn from one another and that no childcare environment is perfect, I began noticing behaviors and language that were not being modeled at home. In addition, I personally observed instances of children hitting one another and using inappropriate language. While occasional behavioral challenges are expected among young children, I was concerned by what I witnessed and by the lack of communication regarding how these situations were being addressed. As time went on, my son began coming home using words and phrases that are not used in our household and displaying behaviors that raised concerns for us as parents. Whenever concerns arose, I took the opportunity to talk with my son about making positive choices, treating others with kindness and respect, and using appropriate language. However, I would have appreciated more communication and partnership from the staff regarding behavioral expectations and incidents occurring during the day. Over the last four months of his enrollment, my concerns continued to increase. Rather than feeling like I was partnering with the staff in my child's care and development, I often felt disconnected from what was happening throughout his day. Open and consistent communication is one of the most important aspects of a quality childcare experience, and unfortunately, that was something I found lacking. Every parent deserves to feel informed, respected, and confident that their questions and concerns will be addressed. My experience left me feeling uncertain and frustrated due to the lack of communication, limited transparency, and difficulty obtaining answers when concerns were raised. While every family's experience may be different, these were significant factors in my decision to reevaluate whether this center was the right environment for my child.

Many of the baby and day care staff have worked there for many years, which shows how dedicated and experienced they are and that it is a place they enjoy working. The children are fed, learn to use the potty, wash their hands, learn a lot and play well with others. All state rules are followed and it is a very clean facility. My oldest granddaughter is 12, my middle granddaughter is 8 and my youngest is 4, so you can see how many years I have had the pleasure to get to know Ms. Zora and the staff. I have fond memories of all the things that my granddaughters have accomplished and learned at the Learning Garden and we will miss all the events they have for the children throughout the year. My youngest granddaughter will be leaving to attend school with her older sister, but we will go back and visit, as other families we have met have done also.
