Owner Jason was simply AWESOME, taking my very small custom job on a walk-in basis, designing on the spot from a sample photo I brought with me minutes before closing on a Friday afternoon. We then walked into the shop to pick out the perfect fabric for my project. My small embroidery job was completed first thing Monday morning. I brought it home and stitched it on my ball cap. I was able to make an appointment for the following day on monday and Jason was super cool about showing me all my options and letting me lead with what I had in mind. My stole was done THE NEXT DAY which is crazy because a lot of places said it would take several days or even weeks to complete and I needed it fast because I was taking my grad photos that following saturday. This next part is kind of embarrassing but it must be mentioned...I mixed up their hours and went to pick it up on friday at 5:03pm but they had just closed at 5pm. I panicked because I was literally having people come down to help me with my photoshoot the next day and the shop is closed on the weekends. I called and messaged them on yelp explaining the mistake I made. Karen found my phone number and called me asking if I would be able to come back to their shop later that evening because they would be out all morning the next day. Owner said it will be ready "midweek", he will call me when done. Thursday the following week no phone call so I called at 10:30. Owner said he was not at work (they open at 11) but he would call me when he got in with status of job. At 4:30, still no call, so I called again. He was a little put out that I had called and said he would take care of it immediately as it wasn't done. I told him I was running out of time and I needed it. He said come in tomorrow after 11. I went in at 3 PM on Friday, the charm was engraved, "48" on the front and "26" on the back not "2026" as the order stipulated. He also didn't give me a receipt when I dropped it off so I took a photo of the order which clearly said to engrave "2026" on the back. In his rush to finish the job, he failed to set the machine up correctly for the back. If I had my own business and was backlogged with work so bad that I had to give a 7 day lead time for a simple engraving job that would take 1/2 hour, I'm sure I'd be working more than 6 hours a day, 5 on Friday and not working at all on the weekends. So, in summary, if you want the owner to not call you when he said he would and engrave an expensive piece of jewelry incorrectly, he's your guy.
