Worst service I have ever received anywhere. I saw today that the Auburn, IN location is permanently closed. Thank goodness so no one else has a similar experience!! However, the corporate office that handles "guest services" has not followed through on issuing us a refund as promised. On February 8, 2025, I took my vehicle to the Auburn location for new rear brake pads. I didn't get my vehicle back until February 21st!!!! The techs somehow locked up my parking brake and couldn't get it to release. Their solution was to have us have the car towed to a dealership across the street, to have them release the brake and then re-replace the calipers they had installed. We ended up paying at least $500 more than initially expected due to all of the errors. The Monro manager - Brett - promised he would cover the cost but then didn't follow through with that and said we had to go through corporate. We did that and the corporate office agreed to refund a portion of the cost but hasn't followed through on this as of today. We have called guest services multiple times to follow-up and still nothing. I will NEVER go back to a Monro location after this experience and would advise anyone else to proceed with caution!!!! read more

Came to town for a celebration and ended up at "a competitor" this morning. Needed a new tire which I had no problem paying for. However, when I left, I stopped no more than one mile away and noticed a tack in a different tire. I immediately returned to the competition and was told they could not make an appointment and had other clients with appointments. I understood and said I would check back mid afternoon. Upon arrival I was told it would be 3 hours to get a small plug for the other effected tire and they would not set an appointment. Again, I was from out of town and shared the information with "the competitor". I called MONRO MUFFLER and spoke with Dan. He immediately set a time for me to drop my vehicle. He was understanding and compassionate and showed complete professionalism. Thank you Dan for getting me back on the road for a safe journey home to St. Louis. read more

I purchased two tires, and loved them. So I decided to get two more, little did I know they broke every sensor in the tires. For the price I would think they would last longer. They had the car over half the day and put over a mile on the car. Never again. read more

If I could give negative stars I would, worse service ever. They have no clue how to work on a car. Kindergarten students could have done a better job on my exhaust. It currently leaks and sounds like shit. The pipe that was used was not the correct size and the welds were not done right as well. The job was half assed from the get go and I should have known better when the manager walked out and started butting up pipe and welding it without even stretching it to size. I attempted to contact corporate to get my money back and that was a joke. They wanted the receipt from the other company that did the repairs that Monroe fucked up to begin with, I told her I had before and after pictures but that was not good enough. They don't care. No one has gotten back to me. the inspection they did on my car was 100% wrong. My battery is brand new. They obviously didn't check my battery at 6:40am because no one arrived at the auburn location until 7:30 am. When the business is supposed to open at 7am. The guy opening sped in opened the doors and I seen him outside not even 15 minutes later taking a smoke break. When he was already 30min late and had customers waiting on him. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only did they lie to me about the issues with my car, but they also stripped the bolts on my tie rod. If I had to guess, they didn't think I'd figure it out since I'm a young girl. Well this young girl knows tie rods don't cost $919!!!! read more

I was driving late at night from Columbus, Ohio to northern Indiana, when my brakes started to make a grinding sound. I stopped in Auburn only to have my tire immediately go flat. Uncertain of the actual problem, AAA towed it nearby to Monro where we left it for the night. The employees there quickly assessed the issue first thing Saturday morning and determined the severity of the problem -- an unbolted brake caliper -- which could have ultimately landed me in a major accident. They kindly offered guidance and support in handling a fairly stressful situation when I was stuck without a car in the middle of Indiana. The team quickly set up towing and transportation to obtain a rental car in the area. I ultimately made it home safely and am incredibly grateful for their knowledge, astute recognition of the cause of the problem and pure generosity and kindness they showed me that day. A genuine reminder of the goodhearted nature in others, they went above and beyond their responsibility to take care of me and make sure I was safe. read more

The employees have always been friendly. I've gone here for almost 10 years. They'll point out issues that may arise in the future, but I've never felt pressured to do extra repairs. Highly recommend Monro muffler in Auburn. read more
