I figured I'd update my post since trying to reach out to Monro. First my Toyota dealership confirmed my brakes and rotors absolutely did not need replaced they were not defective and furthermore the pads do not corrode as I was told. Second we (my wife) did reach back and talked with Diane the store manager about all of this and she acknowledged that when presented with the parts she questioned the technician and felt that they were just fine, BUT noted she's no expert. Ok why are you the manager then is my question? She also stated she would work with the owner to arrive at a compromise as we insisted we wanted nothing for free just fair and honest work. Since then we have not heard a word of any kind from Monro or Diane. So again I say stay far away from this rip off scam establishment. I am sure there are upstanding monro franchises however this is not one of them! read more

I went today after making an appointment yesterday. I was told a quote of 220 dollars. Today the African American Mechanic said it would be 420 dollars, just to do front brakes. They had us wait 45 minutes before even addressing this outrageous amount. We won't be back. Customers be careful, the quote the gave us, not one Monroe in Pittsburgh, PA charge that amount. So sad we had to travel a lot farther for excellent treatment at the West Liberty Car Shop. I also let Customer Service know how unsavory the Mechanics are. Sad! read more

For brakes and rotors on the front only ....$700. Told Him that was unacceptable. Dropped it to $480. I Agreed to the repair. One month later, same grinding issue and now I need $1400 worth of emergency brake calipers and pads and a wheel bearing I had replaced a year ago!!!!!! How amazing this is! Thieves. Period. I very rarely give bad feedback or reviews for anything. Since Covid began l've just been chalking up bad service to the current climate...This place is absolutely terrible, I had a 1pm appointment for 2 tires on the front of my car. I called that morning to verify my appointment and they said yes 1pm. I showed up at 1pm and they told me they were running late. I waited an hour and a half and they finally told me they couldn't put the tires on my car. Don't waste your time or energy on this shop. read more

I definitely recommend going to this location compared to all of the others I have been too. Don was very helpful and understanding. He took my car back right away to get inspected and there was no hesitation. We were there a max of an hour; if that. I highly recommend going to this Monro location and deal with Don. read more

Seriously, there should be a 0/5 stars option. I have no idea where these clowns learned how to "fix" a car, but they did just the opposite. My car is worse than when initially dropped off. The squeaking of my brakes still occur, my fan/AC now make an awful noise, and the overall customer service was, well, nowhere to be found. I actually went to this location because it was super convenient but now I wholeheartedly regret that I let this group of idiots even touch my car. Oh and their solution to fixing a problem is taking it to the dealership because clearly they don't know how to do anything. Job well done, boys. I have rarely encountered such dishonesty from any mechanic as that exhibited by Mike the manager. I was having a noise in the exhaust and took it in to be looked at. Mike made a big show of demonstrating that the exhaust manifold heat shield--a cheap part--had corrosion at the bottom. That's pretty normal. He wanted to replace the perfectly-functioning catalytic converter, and also he said I needed new struts, and the estimate was $3600. I took it down the road to Meineke, and they guy there knew what he was doing. The noise was due to a previous muffler service where they had a pipe that was a couple inches too long, and this pushed back the rear of the exhaust. So one hour and $60 later the problem was fixed--by Meineke. No $3600 estimate. I guess Mike thought I knew nothing about autos and thought he could get away with it. I see he has a young guy employed there, and it breaks my heart to think that somebody starting out in the field is exposed to such dishonesty and likely incompetence. This is easily the worst place I've ever been to, and I've been around. read more

I was a little scared to take my car here, seeing the only review was a one-star from a couple years ago. But I was in a bind - my car was making some horrible noise and the location and hours were convenient to work. It isn't exactly a swanky establishment (it is in West View, after all) and the office area is pretty dingy. But they were able to diagnose my issue (a hole in the exhaust line), get things working (they were able to patch it for $100), and give me advice for a permanent fix (get the whole line replaced, or buy a new car, whichever is more cost effective!). I never write reviews but I do always check yelp for other people's reviews. I had to get on and comment because of my experiences with Monro. I am a 20-something female who is always a bit nervous about getting duped when it comes to car repairs etc. My boyfriend has taken his car to Monro and recommended it to me because he has had good experiences there. I have taken my car there for little things over the past year but my recent experience made me walk away knowing that I wont be taking it anywhere but Monro. I took my car in for an inspection but ended up needing new brakes, oil change and new headlight as well. They were able to get all the work done in one afternoon and they even stayed a little after closing time to give me time to come get it. Everytime I go in and even most recently, they have discounts and coupons they honor on the spot. Even though they were closed, the guy took the time to go over everything on my invoice and explained what they did. He was so helpful and not trying to rush me out. My other headlight went out a day later and I called and he said to just bring my car in right after work that day. They fixed it on the spot without an appointment and tightened up the lugnuts on my tires from the work they did over the weekend. They were so nice and friendly. If anyone in the West View area is looking for a good place to take their car I will most definitely recommend for them to take their car here. read more

I give Mike, Randy and the guys at the Monro in West View the highest marks. I am a "car guy" and do my own routine maintenance, but I trust Monro for everything that I cannot do myself, and they have always delivered top quality service in a timely manner. I have been coming to this Monro for close to 10 years, and have recommended them to many over the years. On more than one occasion, I have brought my car in only to hear from Mike and Randy that it does not need anything, and they charged me nothing.
